“Amazing dining experience.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013 via mobile

Fantastic menu, food was amazing. Service was flawless and atmosphere was beyond expectation. We dined at Mosaic for our wedding anniversary, we were allocated a private dining area and service was impeccable. We ordered the chefs menu with matching wines (regular selection) of which both were amazing. Favorites dish of the night had to be the angus beef or seared foie gras. Highly recommend if you don't mind splurging on amazing food.

“My first taste of fine dining in Bali”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

Mozaic Restaurant in Ubud was my introduction to fine dining in Bali. Since that time others have opened, but Mozaic still offers a wonderful degustation menu and matching wines for a very reasonable cost when compared to similar restaurants in Sydney. I thinks its the best restaurant in Ubud and worth a trip even if you are staying at the coast.

“A fresh gastronomic experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

I'm delighted to have chosen Mozaic to celebrate my 40th with a group of girlfriends (total 7 of us)! It was celebration in style, with beautiful deco, warm service, and best of all it is BYO - with minimum corkage charge! We ordered the Discovery Menu and Chef's Tasting Menu. The Discovery dishes were the outright winners - as they used fresh seasonal Balinese / Indonesian ingredients and flavours - but prepared with Western techniques/presentation.

We had an amazing, and memorable evening finished off with a private tour by the chef. He showed us around to the courtyard garden where herbs are grown and the workshop (where they do private dining and cooking classes). The girls and I will definitely return for dinner again and (maybe) even attend one of the cooking classes.

Mozaic - A must try in BALI!

“Great experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

Mosaic in Ubud on the island Bali is one of world best restaurants! It won a couple of impressing prices as one of the best Asan restaurants. It is high cuisine combined with a warm welcome.
It also has a nice small shop where you can buy nice things.

“More than lives up to the hype”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013

My husband and I dined at Mozaic last night and it was everything we hoped it would be. From the minute we walked in and were led by our gracious hostess to the hip lounge area where we were served well made martinis and complimentary cheese puffs filled with truffle melted butter - to the moment we returned to the lounge to enjoy our chocolate soufflé dessert while listening to the live jazz trio - we were impressed.

There were four 6 course menus to choose from, including vegetarian, chef's surprise - where the chef picks for you - a slightly lower end "discovery menu" and lastly, the showcase "chef's tasting menu" which changes daily. One can select a bottle of wine from their extensive wine cellar, or choose to do pairings with each course - regular or premium.

My husband and I each selected the chef's tasting menu with the premium wine pairings. We were first brought an amuse bouche of salmon and salmon roe in creme fraiche rolled into a mini cone and presented standing in a tiny glass vessel filled with I believe black and white sesame seeds. It was delicious! We had short ribs, tuna sashimi, an amazing little dish of some sort of mollusc ceviche served with fried Parma. It was all incredibly delicate, inventive and wonderfully tasty. I recommend it most highly - the wine pairings were also perfect and the staff friendly and trained to a very high level. It is very expensive, but if you can afford it - Go!
