Undoubtedly a very special restaurant with great 7-course menus to choose from and flawless service.

This comes, however, at a price even if you bring your own wine (we did), which is easily 2 or 3 times the average bill of great restaurants in Ubud.

Not sure it is worth it though - not for everyone's pocket for sure - but we enjoyed a wonderful evening and certainly makes it for a special occasion.

My family and I dined here not long ago, and we have to say it is defenatly the best resturant in its class in indonesia, from the moment you arrive the service is flawless.. the servers have complete knowledge of the wines that they are serving (quite rare due to the price of wine here due to tax. A must have is the Bumbu randang Tortellini.. Now I myself am a chef and think that fusion food is an absolute no no, but somewhow the kitchen team and the chef pull it off so well.

yes its expensive for Bali, but not compared to eating out in sydney, NY, or London
I just hope non chef eaters appriciate what they are accomplishing here.

We were there with a group of 10 friends for a special birthday celebration and were not disappointed.Although we were a little in shock when the bill arrived ( over $250 per head without wine ) we all agree it was worth while.

Dinner is not cheap but in my opinion, definitely worth a visit.

For about US$100 per person (without wine pairing), I tried the 6-course Discovery Menu that used local ingredients to create Western dishes. Ginger flower, keluak, rendang, jackfruit, soursop and basil/turmeric were each used in turn to create appetizers, main courses, dessert etc. It was genius and creative to do so and definitely a risk to take. All the dishes turned out very well and it was a refreshing change from the usual Western fare offered in most upmarket fine dining restaurants.

Service was outstanding too. The only complaint I have is the mosquitoes as the seating area was outdoor. More mosquito coils would be helpful.

We will definitely be back.

When you spend $300 for a meal in bali for 2 people you expect a lot. We recently had the discovery menu and where very disappointed with all the dishes. Also, I can't recommend the wine matching. They don't match! I agree with the earlier review, Bridges restaurant was amazing.
