“Overrated painter”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

The building itself is quite pleasant and eccentric and reminds a bit of Dali. Blanco is in fact often compared with him but his paintings no longer stand the comparison with the famous spanish painter. They are repetitive and shallow and do not revolutionize art in any way. Really disappointing.

“A must visit in Ubud”
Reviewed November 2, 2013

It is just 5 min walk from the city center, Entrance fee 50,000Rp, the museum close at 5 pm, there is a video show a must see gives you how life was in Bali 50/60 years ago, he liked women and painted them well and what a building and the grand entrance hall!

“A nice museum”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

It's nice enough if you have a couple of hours free in Ubud. A number of interesting artworks, and a tour of his studio. There's also Rondji Restaurant nearby if you want to stop for lunch afterwards.

“Great stuff.”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

Really, really enjoyed this place. Blanco was obviously quite out there and enjoyed his paintings and the birds everywhere as well. Free drink at the bar was a nice touch too.

“this gets excellent because if you are anyway artistically inclined you will be amused, horrified in disbelief at this.”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

its bonkers, architecturally. Narsassistic as an artist. Remarkably in its existance. there is art, love, pain and death... yea well what do you expect?
