“Second time in 2 years, getting even better”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2012

Usually travelling with family I went to Bambu Indah in 2010 for 3 nights by myself in Padi, loved it. So when I had the opportunity to return to Bali for a break by myself I called them and managed to have 2 nights in Biru (small but completely gorgeous). the staff is perfect, the garden is amazing and even at such a busy time of year it makes Ubud liveable! Highly recommend

Room Tip: Best stay in Bali if you don't like big hotels

My husband and I stayed in Bambu Indah for 4 nights in the Kolam House. Beautiful villas, stunning views, a gorgeous natural pool and very pleasant and friendly staff. You are literally surrounded by nature, great views of paddie fields etc.

Our villa, Kollam House, was gorgeous, set in the middle of a small pod. Now if you're not a nature lover or fan of the creepy crawlies, frogs etc, this may not be the right villa or hotel for you. We encountered a lot of strange noises at night but both my husband and I are fans of the nature, so we didn't seem to mind this at all.

They even arranged a last minute spa treatment and help organize our boat booking to Gili.

Room Tip: Choose of the elevated villas if you do not want to be so close to the noises by the pond.

Bambu Indah is that king of amazing place where you get captured straight away by the beauty .
You walk in some very green gardens , walk by the natural ( and beautiful ) swimming pool, and you are surrounded by a luxurious jungle and somerice pads.
Each little house makes live the Bali experience in a traditionnal way.Very comfortable, outdoor shower and everything you need,
The staff is very friendly , the food was absolutely amazing , don t miss this place !
One of my best found in the world.

Bambu Indah is truly a touch of paradise.
Located approx 15 minutes by car from the hub of Ubud (approx AUS $7 by taxi to get into town) it is well worth the stay to be close enough to town but blissfully away from it all. This organic, back
to nature habitat is visually stunning.
I was lucky enough to stay for one week and the customer service I received was
thoughtful, consistent and individualized.
The food on premises is healthy, fresh and home grown. The staff are particularly warm, helpful and attentive - sometimes the small details make the difference. I feel blessed to discover this unique accommodation - I've stayed at Bambu Indah twice - next time I stay it will be to marry my partner amongst family and friends.

Bambu Indah is unmistakably unique and now in my top 5 places in the world to stay. Only tell special people about this one, the atmosphere is serene and relaxed, the beauty natural and all around you. The food is sourced partly from the gardens on the grounds, currently getting a permaculture make-over to increase the yield. Everything about this place is understated style and effortlessly beautiful. Plus, the location is paradise: perched onthe edge of a ravine with views all around and gorgeous jungle at your doorstep. Don't miss this place!

It is hard to capture the beauty and uniqueness of this place in a short description. If you want to get away from it all in a little piece of the paradise - this is the right choice. Staying at Bambu Indah was one of the top highlights of my and my husband's stay in Indonesia (travelling from Canada). The location is incredible with unbeatable views of the rice paddy fields and the valley. The old Javanese homes which are the rooms are a wonderful experience. For me, the outdoor shower was my favourite part! The pool, organic garden, and lovely meals (breakfast is amazing) are a plus. Tip: secure the table on the terrace for breakfast. The service is fantastic. Note: be prepared to take the drive here (it is a little outside of the central hub of Ubud). But for people who want to get away from it all - it's perfect.

Bambu Indah was the highlight of my trip to Bali. The pristine green organic gardens and grounds, overlooking fields of rice pads in the valley below, offered a magical backdrop to the very cool Bambu structures and wood bungalows. The service was amazing, the staff super friendly and the food delicious. Great to start my day with a yoga class overlooking the beautiful gardens. Can't wait to return to this very special place.

Room Tip: Stayed in Kona room which has a rope swing from the window to pool below. Fun for kids.
