We had decided to stay 3 days in an inexpensive place not too far from the airport and the boat terminal to Gili island to rest from our 20 hour flight.
Upon arrival we were positively surprised by the hotel. It is situated in a very nice garden, has 3 nice swimming pools (4 if one counts the jacuzi) and is right accross the beach. In the very near neighbourhood you find a little market and several beach restaurants.
We stayed in the garden rooms which are standard, clean, quiet and pretty close to the main swimming pool and the restaurant. Breakfasts were ok served in a musical ambiance and we decided to risk a Japanese dinner at the next door Minami restaurant on our last evening. This was another good experience, a bit expensive for Bali but very affordable for Europe.
It will take you 5 min by taxi to go to Sanur or 20 min by foot.
In conclusion, a very good location in a nice environment which we recommend.

Great holiday as soon as we arrived at the village you felt a sense of calm and a lovely place to relax and unwind. The staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The swimming pools were great and plenty of relaxing places to sit and watch the world go by. Great location right on the beach and gave you the opportunity to explore the surrounding area, lots of restaurants on the beachfront to choose from. Breakfast was okay plenty of choice and service excellent. We will be back, Terry and Marion Broomfield

We walked by this gorgeous hotel and decided to eat at their beach restaurant. The outside atmosphere was beautiful, romantic and intimate. They had a seafood buffet u could chose from and they would grill your food right there, made to order. We had the grilled squid and it was fantastic. Only negative was that we ordered TAPAS as well and it never showed up so we ended up just cancelling it at the end when we were done. an oversight from the waiter we had who was preoccupied with a large party at a different table. The other staff was apologetic and handled it well. We would definitely go back again.

This hotel is in a great location, right off the beach, and walking distance to alot of restaurants from their main entrance, this hotel has the most friendliest staff around, they will always great you even if you bump into them more then once a day, the hotel is very beautiful, with 2 great swimming pools, jaquzzi and a spa within the building. The rooms are ok, i would recommend drawers near the bed rather then a block to hold the lighting, and maybe a place to hook your clothes but thats just my preference, the bathroom could be upgraded abit more to meet with the other 4 star hotels around, but what this hotel has is a great atmosphere, enviroment and being in a great location means you are walking distance from many great places to eat. The hotel has many live events so dont miss out on the Bali dance on Monday nights (Sept 2012). I would definantly recommend this hotel for all people considering staying in Sanur, you can see the sun rise at 6.00am in Sanur beach, and the sun set in Kuta Beach a mere 30minutes drive away. You surely wont be dissapointed if you stay in Segara Village hotel.

Room Tip: Ask to be placed on the upper cottages, with the great view from the balcony in the evening you cant...

Excellent location with friendly and warm natured staff always there to help. Rooms were kept clean and were very comfortable. Guest services Dayu was always friendly and willing to help and chat to quests. Amazing facilitys and location was right on top of beach and the shops and bars were all a very short 5 minute walk. This was our first visit to Bali and this is by far one of the best hotels along the strip. My only warning would be that please be aware that rooms are not available to check in until 3pm so if you have a long flight as we did then you cannot get into the room until the afternoon. Hotel have alot of Australians and everyone there was friendly and socialable. Try it out you will not be disappointed !!!!

Room Tip: We had a ground floor just as you come in on the right not to far to walk to all facilitys and peace...

We were two adults and 2 boys 11 and 7 in Segara Village 2. Our room was ground floor and the pool was a mere 5 metres away. Just perfect. Whilst I think in future we would NOT have all 4 in one room (we were always aware of this set up) it worked fine for the 4 nights we were there. All the staff are warm, friendly and helpful. In Village 2 it was our own mini world and we did not use any of the other pools, this one was has amazing sun loungers and towel service just great. Breakfast sold our kids on this place, great variety and location around the main pool. The beach tables and loungers are fantastic and well serviced.I had a a treatment at the AROMA spa there that was professional and such a pleasant environment. I would recommend this for families. Research the room setup a bit, it is personal preference. I booked through the website and found it easy. Thank you Segara!

We have just returned from our 11th trip to Bali and our 8th stay at Segara Village, this time for 17 nights.
We had a party of 9, including our 12 month old grandson and all had a wonderful time.. Some of our friends are seasoned world travellers and were more than impressed by their stay at Segara and Sanur and have vowed to return with us next year. Our rooms were all clean and comfortable as usual and breakfast is amazing. A problem with the shower and airconditioner were fixed immediately.
After returning from trips to Nusa Dua and Seminyak, we could only be amazed again at the tranquility of the hotel and the peace created by the wonderful garden.
The staff are, without exception, always friendly and helpful, whether just for a chat or assistance with anything.
My advice is to try it and love it!!

Room Tip: Over 8 years we have stayed in many rooms (but not in Village 2) and have always been more than happ...
