“In need of a Reno !!”

Great location but in need of a renovation. Rooms are old and need painting. I didn't think they were good value. The restraunt was very average, but there are many more around to choose from. The beach is lovely with cafés and deck chairs. The pool was cloudy and didn't look clean, so we didn't use it.

Extremely good money for value in Sanur.

We've been to Sanur a few times and have stayed in resorts nearby but we'd take this place any day over those.

It's simple but modern enough to be able to get by (electronics, etc) yet still has a Balinese feel and authenticity that gives it a great charm.

Right on a main road but rooms are far enough away to forget the bustle. Beach access nearby also.

We were there for a short stay but would easily stay there for a week.

Great for an overnight or a Sanur vacation.

This is not a luxury resort but it's not a hovel. Many of the user-contributed photos are quite accurate.

Next time we're in Bali this will likely be our first stop - if we're staying in the south, this will be our home base.

Some context: We love roughing it (this was a 'cushy' stay for us before/after a long adventurous trip in West Papua). We're not fussy and we love the Balinese people and culture (so staying in Sanur is for airport convenience more than anything else for us).

This place would be perfect for people wanting to get a feel for Bali/first time in Bali wanting to avoid Kuta yet keep the trappings of the developed south.

Traveled as a couple, but had friends along too.

This hotel is right in the heart of Sanur, and the gardens stretch right back to the beach, where it has it's own sunbeds & beach bar for hotel guests. We couldn't use them since it was the rainy season but would love to have been able to lounge out there. The gardens are fabulous, very well kept, many typical statues adorning the pathways & gardens. Lots of water features too. The pool area looked like it could do with an upgrade, also the same can be said for the rooms. The furniture is very tired looking and the bedsheets not as crisp as you'd like. However for the price we paid it was ample. Breakfast is quite poor and the staff there don't speak English so quite hard to communicate, like when I tried to imitate a bee to ask for honey with my pancake! Reception staff were very helpful in giving us a map of the area & giving us hints on where to go / what to do.
There are many shops and restaurants in the area, one evening we ate at the night market, great fun and only about a ten minute walk from the hotel. There was a bar across the road with live music and lots of other travellers. Prices for the drinks were European standard so not many locals could afford it, or so it seemed from the lack of them.

Hotel is very central with it's own access to the beach & it's own sunbeds there. The hotel grounds are extensive, and well maintained. Hotel is right on the main road full of shops, massage parlours, bars etc. Very safe to wander round at night too.
The wifi was only available at reception. Furniture quite tired, needs upgrading. Breakfast quite poor & staff don't speak English. The room could have been cleaner.

We stayed there for one night on our way to Nusa Penida. We had 2 Super Deluxe rooms. All the rooms are ground floor and exit into the garden. First the positive aspects: It was quiete, the staff was friendly and tried to please us, the garden is nice, the bathrooms are new. The disadvantages: For 43 € you get a shabby room with an old wooden door that doesn´t really shut and no moscito net on the bed. Maybe many People don´t care, but on the ground floor with a door to the garden, bugs, especially cockroaches are very close. Even if they manage to keep them out with poison and cleaning, a door that doesn´t shut sooner or later leads to the occasional Roach showing up in your room - which wouldn´t be a Problem, if there was a moscito net. By the way: Cockroaches don´t stay on the floor, the do also come into your bed. Another point is: Geckos who often life in hotel rooms, which I find acceptable, tend to [--] in beds. It´s quiete nice to have a net so you don´t have to sleep with gecko [--]. Anyway, we asked for another room with moscito net, which we got, also shabby, also with doors that don´t really Close. I asked for a fan and received a miniature one, I guess everybody sleeps with AC, which I don´t like because it makes me sick. The rooms are not well maintained and not really clean. I´m glad, I stayed only one night.

My parents and I stayed at this hotel. They were extremely accommodating and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The grounds were beautiful and well kept with a traditional Balinese feel, a beautiful pool and a beautiful garden that led out to a lovely secluded and peaceful beach.
We hired a driver through the hotel called Maddy who was so friendly, polite and helpful.

This hotel is very well situated for those who arrive with a late flight and who like to visit the inland. The will send a car to take you at the airport. The rooms are clean and nice. The swimming pool is execellent, but with a short walk on the grounds of the hotel, you can reach the beach where it is nice to swim too. The garden is very well kept. We must ask to look that internet is working well; sometimes there is a flaw due to a problem with the router. The restaurant is OK and the breakfast too.

Room Tip: Make a choice: nearer of the reception and the restaurant, or nearer of the pool.
