This place is perfect for your average 'flash packer'! The grounds are gorgeous and the location is very good - cross the road and you're at the beach. Super quiet and a beautiful swimming pool. The staff are lovely and very welcoming. I'll be back for sure!

When we first arrived we witnessed a guest checking out and giving the main staff lady a 20,000 tip (large by our standards) and the lady just said 'yah.' Not even a smile or thank you. I don't know what she did to earn a tip cause I had no experience from the staff that were tip worthy.
Our standard room was alright. Small tv with cable. Excellent a/c. No bugs. Fridge. Hard bed which is standard in Bali. The pillows were hard to which wasn't nice.
The bathtub had a big black ring along the floor. We could rub it off with our foot while showering. So clearly the cleaners haven't even attempted to clean it. Made the bathroom look like crap. And it would have been such an easy fix. But the staff were lazy. Not a very quiet location because of the bar across the road and next door with musical acts every night. But we also had a front room. So probably the loudest room at the hotel.
The pool was probably the best thing about the hotel. Good size. Hardly ever used. Many pool chairs. A deep end even. No pool bar but I just brought down my own bintangs. There is a nice variety store next door. A really nice lady works there.
Everytime we walked past the reception area/restaurant the staff were lounging around on the "guest' couches and chairs. Albeit many of the staff were pregnant it was not a good look to be seen as slouching in the couches. Hanging out when they should be working. Perhaps cleaning bathtubs or something useful.
Everytime we had a questions we felt like we were really putting them out, interrupting their day by bothering them with questions. They just put us of staying there. Not friendly.
Breakfast was quiet basic. 1 small piece of bacon, eggs were alright. Lots of fruit at least. Of the 4 places we stayed at in Bali it was the poorest brekkie.
The location was good. On a busy street in Sanur with many good places to eat and bars nearby. The walk to the beach is alright. Fastest if you cut through the hotel across the road.
No airport shuttle.
Overall the hotel isn't that bad. But for the price we were disappointed. New staff and a bathroom makeover would help.
