The staff were wonderful at this smaller hotel. The set up is lovely with the thatched roof and large bathroom. Although it is not on the beach, it is less than a two minute walk away and there is an area reserved on the beach close by. Massages can be had both at the hotel or at the beach for a mere 65,000 IR
Breakfast was great and other meals were available at reasonable prices.
Tours can be arranged through the front desk.

The main drag were there are many restaurants is closeby and taxis to Semniyak or Kuta are readily available.

The staff are all very helpful and bend over backwards to make your stay great.
The hotel is in a quiet part of South Sanur a short stroll to the beach .
The meals at the restaurant were very nice and good prices.
We enjoyed our stay but have decided we are not ready for the quiet life yet .
But as far as the Hotel goes I would recommend to anyone .

Room Tip: We stayed in room 103 the water pressure was the best and a great big walk in shower.

We were looking for a smaller hotel. The Villa Puri Ayu was the perfect place. The hotel was clean. The staff was warm and friendly. We had a traditional Balinese room with thatched roof and a huge bathtub. It was just a short 2-3 minute walk to the beach or to a variety of restaurants. The breakfast was wonderful. Eggs cooked to order. Yummy pancakes. Plenty of fresh fruit and my favorite, Mie Goreng They provided transportation to and from the airport for a small fee.We will definitely stay here again. Another place in paradise for us.

Room Tip: We enjoyed an upstairs room.

After checking in on the 6th July 2012 in the early ours of the morning. Today is now our last day :-( We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The very relaxing, private grounds have been a wonderful escape from reality. The staff have been lovely. They have been exceptionally friendly, kind and helpful. Our son has treated this place like a second home. Like the staff have treated him like family. Both pools are clean and feel like you are somewhere very special. The adaquate but low chlorine levels make swimming everyday easy and no burning eyes. We stayed in room 301. It is a one bedroom suite with an enormous bath with a shower over it. The fridge keeps our drinks cold and the freezer freezes our ice in the trays. The aircon is a welcome relief and quiet at night. Great value for money accomodation. We have already booked to return next year!

Room Tip: Room 401 is a two bedroom suite with kitchen lounge and inside and outside dinner with your own private garden ideal for small families. Keeping the bathroom door closed at night in rooms 301,302,303 will keep insects and reduce noise from the alleyway.

We stayed here for one night prior to leaving Bali because of its reasonably close proximity to the airport. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. The hotel, however, is really showing signs of wear. Our room had an outdoor bathroom. The vanity was missing a door and just looked old. The bathtub was very large, but had brown stains all over the sides of it. The bathroom had a diret, mildewy feel to it. Towels were discolored and worn looking. We also received only 2 bath towels - no hand towels and no washcloths. The room itself also felt like it was in need of a good cleaning. The bed itself, was neat and the sheets were crisp and clean.

The breakfast in the morning was adequate, but nothing special.

Overall, the hotel was fine for one night, but I definitely would not stay here for any extended period.
