Reviewed October 12, 2008

We stayed for a week during our honeymoon in a parigata villa with jacuzzi.
* Very private accomadations. Jacuzzi was great to have! The pool of this resort was rather big (in comparison with the pool at the other Parigata resort) and during our period of stay (end Sept-Oct '08) almost always empty.
* Breakfast is ok, but not much choice/variation. When having breakfast at 8am30, you might not find a free table. (18 villas but only 9 tables or so, although you could have your breakfast at the other resort also ofc)
* Our first dinner in the restaurant was a bit dissapointing, but all the other meals (roomservice+candle light dinner with sea food) and lunch (@ the Beach club) were very appetising.
* Location: 5 minutes walk from beach club. When you go outside the resort, at your left, 3 minutes walk, there is a little supermarket @ a corner where you can buy drinks, food and some souvenirs. Also enough restaurants & little shops in the neighbourhood. A big 3-level store (Hardy's) is a 15-20 min. walk from the resort (or 5min by taxi which has costed us 5.000 Rps :-) ). We have been to an Italian restaurant (Massimo): food was pleasant, although service lacking through (over?)crowded restaurant. [People are waiting outside for a table]. We ordered wine and got this after sitting with our meal for more than 5 minutes...Also, not very quiet and a lot of children. So for the food you could go there, but not for the cosy or romantic atmosphere.
*Beach @ Sanur was a bit dissapointing. A lot of boats and seaweed. To the right of the resort: a lot of local people and very crowded. To the left of the resort, beaches from hotels.
*Having walked passed the other resorts and hotel, we would recommend this resort for the intimacy and privacy, esp. for people who don't like the crowds in big hotels and prefer peace and quiet. We also preferred the vila resort over the other Parigata resort for same reasons as stated above.

Nice little boutique Hotel/villa complex.

Quite a walk from the main beach at Sanur(30 mins),
although another beach is nearby, approx 10 mins walk.

We were looking for privacy, value for money and reasonable service.

This place delivered that,
the rooms were very spacious and clean, the jacuzzi provided a great cooloff after shopping and walking.

Pros; Lovely setting, pool area is quiet and relaxing.Staff very friendly, very comfy beds, spacious rooms.Clean towels and linen.

Cons; Food in the Restaurant was average at best..
Noisy road adjacent the villa we stayed in(Jasmin)
and renovations next door(cant be helped)

Tip;
try a meal and drink at The Bali International Cricket Club, cheap and tasty.just 5 mins walk up Danau Poso towards main area of Sanur from the Villa complex.
Pick up some Mozzie killers at the local shops. We bought the plug in type and had little problems.

We used “www.asiarooms.com” to book this hotel...we found the price amazing for the quality (around $100/night). I guess you can find cheaper villas/hotels in the area but this is without a doubt a steal for the price IMO. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

One of my only disappointments in Bali, in general, is the quality of beaches. The beach near the hotel was terrible, tons of boats docked nearby. You have to walk about 100-200 meters down the beach, not a deal breaker of course. However, I would say the Caribbean beaches are much nicer overall.

Cons:
Expensive! Away from the shops & restaurants, but they have free shuttle to take you to anywhere you want to go in Sanur, but they'll only drop you off and if you want to get picked up then you would need to call. Most restaurants will call the hotel and order a shuttle for you, that is if you ate there.

Pros:
Clean, Nice, great for family, private.

I stayed in a 2 bedroom villas which consists of:
outdoor living room, private jacuzzi, 1 master bedroom w/ 1 queen bed & 1 master bathroom, 1 standard room with 2 single beds and 1 bathroom.

When you first walk into the hotel rooms, you would definitely fall in love with the place. You get your own jacuzzi, the room is big, and your kids are only a door away. The only thing that was questionable was our master bathroom was outside. It's a bit weird although, you still get a bit of a privacy when you do your business.

It's definitely expensive but if you can afford couple nights of luxury then I say go for it!

I loved this resort and we holidayed for over a month - our longest holiday ever!
The resort is small and intimate -only 18 villas- no children seemed evident.
The plunge pool (you get your very own private one) was huge and bigger than most backyard swimming pools.
Your courtyard is entirely private - great for sunbathing on the lounger and the outside shower was a bonus and hot!
The bed was one of the most comfortable on our whole stay away.
This was our most expensive accommodation while we were away but we had used timeshare exchanges.
Considering Bali / thailand are cheap we thought it was excellent value and the luxury we had we could not afford else where.
We only stayed 2 nights and If I were to go back to Bali again I would stay here at least a week.
It was heavenly.

We have just spent a week staying at these villas. We had a villa with the 5m x 3m (approx) plunge pool and enjoyed being able to take a dip whenever we pleased. The grounds and central pool which boasts waterfalls and rock pools are beautiful. We were so impressed that we nominated the gardener as the employee we wanted acknowledged by the hotel this month. The staff, as always were friendly and helpful and our room was always kept to a high standard of cleanliness. For us a few changes would improve the overall experience even more. We would love to see some steps put in the plunge pools to make entry less of a splashing affair. We also would like to see a better choice of tv channels as most were either in indonesian or japanese. The inclusion of a dvd and cd player would also be great - having some music playing was what we missed in our beautiful private courtyard. Finally, making the indoor bathroom more private, (it is very open, especially if you have room service or guests visit when you are using the bathroom) would be a great improvement. Overall this was a lovely week and I would recommend these villas in Sanur if you are looking to get away from the bigger hotels.
