“Great Value for Money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2013

These villas are fantastic. The private pool is beautiful and the resort also has a much larger pool as well. The gardens are amazing and the staff very friendly. I have stayed in villas with private pools before which have been much more expensive. These villas don't have a kitchen, dining room and sitting room as others do but most of this is wasted anyway as you tend to eat out. The rooms consist of a reasonable sized bedroom with a sofa, huge very comfortable bed and flat screen TV (only found one english speaking channel but wasn't interested in watching TV anyway) and a desk. There is also a large dressing room with huge vanity top and wardrobes. The Bathroom is separate again and consists of a stone bath with shower over and toilet. The bathroom is great as it is NOT outside or half outside, so cool and not full of mozzies as many other villa bathrooms are. There is also an outdoor hot/cold shower which was great after getting out of the pool. I didn't eat dinner at the restaurant or order from the 24 hour room service so can't comment on that. I did eat breakfast most days. It is adequate with a choice of eggs (omelette, scrambled etc) which was OK but nothing to rave about. We went out a couple of mornings to get decent coffee and a better breakfast. This is not the kind of resort with a massive buffet for breakfast as there are only 18 villas, however I didn't find this a problem. The villas are close (200m) from a nice beach and plenty of great restaurants down the main street or along the beach front. We hired push bikes which was a great way to get around and the roads and beachfront in Sanur are easy to ride on, unlike Seminyak or Kuta where it would be a bit dangerous. All up it was a great place to stay and I would go back. If I had to have any complaints it would be that the coffee sachets in the room were never topped up so had to ask a couple of times for this in order to have a morning coffee in the room.

Room Tip: They have rooms with private pools and spa pools (plunge pools). Make sure you get a proper pool. We...

We booked in here as our usual villa were full. Unfortunately I can't recommend this one to highly. It is dated which is ok but small villa, not all that well appointed & not really value for money. Communal pool not that inviting, ok though as you have one in your villa. Breakfast a bit ordinary, service about the same. They try but just not great. You can eat at their other hotel which is 10 minutes away in a free shuttle but that is not much better. The bar is unappealing & not well stocked. I think for the price there are far better places to stay.

Had an enjoyable stay at Parigata Villas.... A good standard hotel style room with your own private pool, what more could you ask for.
Only issue not a complaint probably not even an issue, was the glass window to the sleeping area to the room... I was with a friend obviously it would be different if you were couple. But housekeeping put a sheet up the next day for us, which was no trouble at all.
The breakfasts were great, I had read in other reviews the complaints people made about it.... Well I had no complaints, very good selection... Not sure what else you would need. And lovely surrounds to sit in also. Had a lunch and a dinner there.... Food was a very good standard. My friend had the Tom Yum soup and said it was one of the best she has ever had.
You do only get wifi in the reception and restaurant area, which is fine and it was funny watching everyone at breakfast using their devices and then at night before everyone retired to their villas. But Bali is fantastic most restaurants on the street have wifi, so you can always connect.
The gardens and surrounds at Parigata were lovely and well maintained, and the main pool which we did not use was amazing.
Good location, not a long walk at all either to the beach or the street.... With a great selection of restaurants in both of those areas.
Thank you for an enjoyable stay, will recommend to others.

Parigata Villas Resort (PVR) are a great find. PVR gardens, pools, villas and location are fantastic. Well maintained on our visit. The communal pool is set amongst beautiful gardens and rock pools, which delighted our four year old. A short flat walk 150-200mtrs down a sealed laneway to the beach and approximately same distance the other way to the main street, where you can walk to the Sanur shops and restaurants. Beachend of the laneway offers choices of restaurants/bars, take a walk either side of the laneway. A very clean, well stocked small convenience store for nibbles, beer, water, snacks, mosquito repellent and room spray etc is just to the right of the laneway. At $US150 p/n (we stayed 5 nights) is excellent value. Two years ago we stayed at the Legian Beach Hotel (Legian) at $US150 p/n and this property is superior in terms of size of villas, cleanliness, ambience, quality and standard. We found the staff friendly, approachable, helpful without being intrusive. They accommodated our wishes and followed up on our requests. On arrival staff greeted us, advised our villa was ready and due to construction happening in a neighboring private property, they would move us to another villa the next day, apologetic they were unable to move us earlier as all villas were full. They would upgrade us to a larger villa as a result the following day. We'd requested an extra bed for Mr 4 and airport pickup (this was a separate cost). The pick up, our driver and transport were fine. The extra bed was not set up on arrival, staff advised there may be an additional charge for the extra bed (we were aware this is common practice if not using existing bedding). They apologized for it not being ready. By the time we’d returned from dinner the bed was set up and we were informed there would be no extra charge. Our first villa (Sugi Villa) was everything we wanted, large spacious room even with Mr 4's extra bed in it (a king size single bed and not a roll-a-way). Mosquito net over the main King bed, opening through glass doors onto a high walled private garden, pool and outside hot water shower. Large bath and toilet in separate room. An arrival complimentary fruit basket, biscuits and chocolates were provided along with daily free bottled drinking water. The free upgrade to the Herbas Villa the next day and for the balance of our stay was a delight, the difference being a large covered outdoor room attached to the Villa over looking garden, pool, outdoor shower, which included lounge area and dinning area (it included an outdoor kitchen, we were informed we could not use, nor did we want to, the food options around the area were excellent). The Herbas Villa had a fixed shower over the bath inside compared to the Sugi Villa, which had a hand held shower attached to the bath taps. Mosquitos, not surprising given the lush gardens and pools in the property. We sprayed our room each evening before going out for dinner and that seemed to do the trick. Previous reviews on this site mentioned poor breakfast choices at PVR, we enjoyed the breakfast choices it suited our family and was inclusive in our p/n rate. It included Continental breakfast buffet (two juice choices, milk, tea or coffee, fresh fruit selection, stewed fruit, 3 cereal choices, yoghurt, breads and accompaniments for toast, two pastry choices, sliced ham, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber) with changes to the options nearly every day and cooked set menu option of omelet or eggs done to your choice with sausage or bacon; rice or noodle goreng; rice porridge natural or done Indonesian style. The chef would cook something for you outside of the set menu for an extra charge e.g Mr 4 wanted banana pancakes which were delightful. We tried all of the cooked breakfast meal options during our stay and we were not disappointed. We only had breakfasts at PVR, exploring other eating options in Sanur for other meals. We did order lunch one day to be delivered to our room and it was delicious. Having only 18 villas, PVR is quiet, peaceful a great place to relax and chill out, you can choose to do this around your own villa pool, or around the communal pool. The laundry, spa & beauty treatments are over at the other property and the staff at the PVR will do the entire running around, ringing and booking you need for such services if you wish. This is not a resort where the staff hover over you. All you need to do is pop up to or ring the restaurant or reception and they are instantly attentive, they will bring your cold drinks, cocktails, food, snacks to your Villa or by the communal pool or organise other services for you.

We used the PVR free shuttle, available on request, to transport you to the other property Parigata Spa Resort (PSR) or the Parigata Beach Club (on Sanur Beach). The PSR is a few minutes away by shuttle maybe 5-10 mins to walk, for massages, and spa treatments. One of us sat and played with Mr 4 at the PSR main pool while the other went to the spa. The shuttle will also take you to the Parigata Resorts private beach club which is a fenced off area with loungers, towels, shelter and staff to look after you on the Beach front, you have a very short walk maybe 50 meters from where the shuttle drops you to the Beach Club).

PVR will organise baby sitting if required we didnt use the service so cant comment.

There are several properties that make up the Parigata Resorts in Sanur, we stayed in the Parigata Villas Resort, the smaller property of 18 Villas, and visited the larger Parigata Spa Resort, which is a larger property, several stories of accommodation around a central pool and gardens, with larger restaurant and the Spa services.

The Parigata Villas Resort will be our choice for future stays it was just what we needed.

We returned after 6 months and it was better than our first visit. The gardens were still perfect but the biggest surprise was that the reception staff had improved in many areas.

Perhaps the highlight of our 10 night stay was the "Honeymoon Package Romantic Dinner" . UNFORGETTABLE, we had a dining table set up by the pool complete with candles and spectacular umbrellas. The pool was completely surrounded by candles and the 4 course meal was a gourmet delight. We would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

We also opted for a massage at the Parigata Resort and Spa, again faultless.

Next time we had back to Bali we will seriously consider staying at this slice of heaven again.

Room Tip: Both times we stayed in the Gladiola "G" Suite. The reason for this is because the morning...

These villas are fantastic - great private pool & excellent value.

On a quiet street & only about 200 metres walk to the beach & all the restaurants & watersports shops there. 200 metres in the other direction takes you out to the main street with more shops & restaurants.

The staff here are really nice - the only improvement to this hotel would be wifi in the villas & not just in the public areas.

I would recommend this hotel & will stay here again (I just had my fourth stay, 2 weeks ago!).

We put this accommodation at the top of our Bali accommodation list as it had offered us exclusive privacy with our own swimming pool and jaccuzzi, a well-furnished bedroom, a huge bathroom, our own garden with two sunbeds and generally speaking, the luxury which would normally cost quite more than the average. We stayed there for four nights and almost five days as we extended our staying to 18,00 instead of 13,00 which is the normal check out time at an extra cost of 50 USD due to the fact that our flight back home was at 22,35. Beautiful gardens,a decent swimming pool and an easy access to Sanur beach area where one can find a variety of restaurants with local or international food at very good prices are added to the advantages of this accommodation. On the negative side the poor breakfast and dinner choices. However you are given the choice of having your breakfast at one of the other two Parigata hotels. We had chosen for our last two mornings the resort and spa one, where a full buffet breakfast was available and we suggest that to the future traveler. We had also found the staff at the Parigata resort and spa to be more efficient and helpful when we placed a printout of our on line boarding passes request.
