“good but noicy hotel”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

Bali is a great place to be. Sanur is a nice village with everything you want as shopping, nice litte restaurants and straight on the beach. The hotel is well taking care off, the rooms are nice, the breakfast super good. Nice beach, nice pool. The only minus we foubd is the noice in the evenings from the shows in the hotel garden. make sure, when you are found of peace and quiet. to book a room away from the reception and garden.

We stayed 5 nights in the Sanur Beach hotel during our trip in Indonesia. This is one of the older hotels in Sanur but it has been maintained very well. The grounds of the hotel are huge and beautifull laid out. Nice two pools and private beach. Enough sunbeds even when the hotel is full. We stayed in a standard room and we found it quite small (garuda wing). We would go for a bigger room next time. Staff at the restaurants and pool/beach were very kind, at reception that was however not the case all the time. All in all a good place to stay in Bali, escpecially if you compare rates to what the hotel has to offer.

The hotel is beautiful and has the most amazing views. I personally recommend it to everyone and I promise you, you won't be disappointed. I stay at Sanur beach hotel every time I go to Bali because its the best. The service is great and the people are so friendly and nice. It's the best hotel if you have kids too. Trust me you will get the best experience.

Stayed here for Christmas/New Year 2012/2013, with extended family and friends.
We had Deluxe Seaview Rooms in the Kresna Wing on the 4th floor (non-smoking), which had great views of the beach and the pool. Being on the 4th floor meant that we didn't have too much noise from the pool. The rooms are large and comfortable, with a balcony that can sit 6 people comfortably. The beds are very firm, the lighting at night a bit too dim (energy saving globes with low wattage), WiFi unreliable and frustrating - look for a cord in the desk to connect to the internet which was much better! Bathrooms in need of renovations, as is the aircondtioning.
The 2 pool areas are pleasant, one with a swim up bar, with new sun beds (replaced during out stay). The main pool is in desperate need of renovation - there are many broken tiles and a lot of discolouring. The worldwide problem of "reserving" the sun beds is a problem here, even though the pool "rules" clearly state this is not permitted - it is certainly not policed.
Breakfast is very good, held in a large, covered open air restaurant. They are plenty of options and the food is good.
There is a shuttle bus service that goes to Hardy's every hour and returns on the half hour. Get there early and be prepared to stand your ground when some older people, who should know better, believe they have priority. Otherwise, it is a very good service, allowing you to purchase basic requirements at good prices. There is also a shuttle that goes to Kuta, but only once in the morning and which you must book to ensure a spot. There is no return service, so be prepared to haggle with a taxi driver when you want to return to the hotel.
The food in the hotel restaurants was very good and at reasonable prices for a hotel. There are lots of very nice restaurants out on the main street, which serve very good food at good prices. The Bamboo Bar has a "Happy Hour" in the afternoon - 2 for 1. This is a lovely place to sit late afternoon, or later on in the evening after to have finished dinner.
Both the Spa and Fitness Centre were closed for renovations during our stay - the Spa was not a problem, as there are many Spas within easy walking distance of the hotel (or they will pick you up from the hotel), but it was frustrating that the Fitness Centre was closed, even though they offered a shuttle service to a centre somewhere is Sanur.
Staff could not be faulted, professional, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Any issues we had were very quickly attended to and rectified.
Overall, our stay was pleasant and enjoyable.

Room Tip: If you like a view, ask for a Deluxe Seaview Room on the 4th floor of the Kresna Wing.

Clean, tidy, friendly hotel, excellant location.

We have stayed here 4 times the latest being the past 2 weeks.

There has been many changes in the 4 years we have stayed some being good some not so good one of the problems this year was the fridges. They were replaced with a new kind of cooler which did not cool our drinks and also didnt have a freezer so hence no making your own ice, but i can say upon mentioning this to the customer relationship lady at breakfast it was quickly and efficiently rectified and a replacement fridge was put in our room by lunchtime the same day.
There was a few faults with my daughters room, a light was flickering (need bulb changed), the toilet blocked one day but everytime we asked it was fixed immediately. The only downside was the internet in the room, I had to have internet access for my work and I found it to be very slow, i couldnt upload documents because it kept timing out. I thought going to the lobby would help but it didnt make any difference so i had to make do which was a bit dissapointing.

They have new pool beds but sadly the actual pool really needs renovation as some of the tiles are quite sharp, my daughter cut herself a few times on the sharp tiles. As we had teenagers in our group of 16 the only problem we had with the pool was the basketball hoop. Some of the older people were quite nasty and mean to the children as sometimes the ball would miss the hoop and it would go where they were standing (these people were not even swimming!!) I understand and I have brought my children up to be aware on the needs of others, but some of the abuse they experienced was really not necessary. This is not a problem of the hotel, but the people that think they own the place because they stay there for longer as the same thing would happen on the free bus to Hardy's, the older ones would rush and push and take the first seat available instead of moving down and taking the back seats - many times people complained because they missed a seat but there were seats vacant at the back!

Overall this hotel is lovely the staff are all very friendly and attentive to all needs.
The staff are so friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Go the seaview on the top floor.

Once again a most enjoyable stay. The sun beds and dining room chairs have all been replaced with new ones so theres now loads of sun beds round the pool and on the beach. The best ones of course reserved with towels for hours on end!!!!!The fitness centre and hotel spa are closed for renovations but plenty of spa options available in the street. The variety for breakfast is huge with something for everyone. WIFI in the room not great but in the lobby area was much better. Internet access was Rp25.000 for 30 minutes in the business centre. I would recommend this hotel and Sanur as a place to stay.

Room Tip: Non smoking rooms are on the 4th floor
