Arrived to a hotel that had no one to assist with luggage, poor start. I had been sent an email requesting what our arrival time would be and arrived over an hour later than that time and one of our rooms was still not ready. The lady checking us in was unable to advise when our room would be ready however fortunately we were advised it was ready within 10 minutes of arriving.
when booking this hotel at no stage was I ever advised that there were renovations going on in the hotel. I initially became aware when we arrived and the reception was a makeshift. While that didn’t really hinder us in any way the renovations on the pool bar did. I chose this hotel based on a few things, one of them being that it had a swim up pool bar - sadly this was closed for renovations the whole time we were there! These renovations should definitely be advised to prospective guests before a booking is finalised

Breakfast was good. Lots of variety. My only complaint regarding the breakfast was the customer service when asking for some bacon. The bacon was put in the kitchen and you had to request to have some. They would only give you a piece or two (very little) and if you requested more the staff were resistant and quite rude and unfriendly which was very disappointing.

Water bottles were not provided in rooms (as in every other hotel we have stayed in Bali) . We were provided a jug and told to fill it in the hallway at centralised water stations which was not very convenient. This was supposedly due to being environmentally friendly and not using plastic - I’m unsure why they can’t use glass bottles like a number of other hotels and have the water in each room.

On a positive note the pool was beautiful and there were plenty of deck chairs available for use. Most staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lots of nice restaurants close by, and one of the best bars in Sanur with live bands each night only a couple of dooors up from the hotel.

The hotel is a fair walk from the beach and it would be helpful if the staff gave you a map on check in to show you how to get to the beach.

Overall the hotel is ok but I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here again.

Wonderful hotel for short family holiday. Pool was very nice, the staff are all very polite.
They have a small gym which is nice to have. I think the best part is the breakfast, with complete selection of Indonesian foods and fresh free flow coffee.

Would recommend this hotel for short holiday within the city

We really enjoyed our third stay at Swiss-Belresort. We have stayed on the beach front in Sanur, but this hotel is great value for money and a short walk to the beach. There are a choice of cafes/ warungs/restaurants close by. Also many spas to choose from.
Our room was large and comfortable, lovely king bed with long pillows. It had an outdoor tub however, filling it would take so long and use a lot of water. It’s great to see their move away from plastic water bottles.
The pool is its best feature.
Breakfast was very good, lots of food options available. Restaurant food was great too. Staff very courteous and helpful.
We hope to return!
