On arrival ( late at night) at the suites I thought that I had made a mistake choosing this property. The location is not the best to say the least. The busy road and dangerous paths (outside of the hotel) make it nearly impossible to take your kids for a walk. However after a fantastic night sleep we explored the grounds. It was a safe and secure place to enjoy with a young family.
The pools are fantastic. The kids pool with slide is tucked away at the back of the property. The pool staff were excellent and were constantly making sure all the kids were safe. We did not use the kids club but other people said their kids were looked after.
The rooms were very spacious and clean, which made for a comfortable holiday.
The only issue was location. The well organised shuttle service to the beach or to the shopping centre seemed to alleviate that problem. If you miss the shuttle, a taxi fare to sanur's beach or shopping area is about $1-$2. A bemo fare is about 50 cents.
Food was good and when put into perspective was only about $1 more expensive that eating at street side restaurants.
While the spa does not have 5 star facilities, they more than make up for this with 5 star service. The massage was unbelievably good.
Overall we had a great stay. We had been to bali many times and werent interested in sightseeing. We just wanted our daughter to have fun whilst we could relax. The Plaza suites provided this and more.

My husband two children aged 13 and 11 and myself stayed at Sanur Paradise Plaza Suites for 6 nights from the 29th December in a two bedroom suite. Everything is as pictured on on the hotel website. The rooms were huge and had 3 air conditioners in them ( one in each bedroom and one in the living area). The main pool area is lovely and our kids thought it was fantastic to come back and finish the day either in the pool or on the waterslide, or both while we enjoyed sipping on a Bintang or cocktail on the sun lounges by the main pool.
The staff at the resort were extremely friendly and efficient and I would highly recommend the transfer service that the hotel provides (cost for us was USD $13) if you are checking in after arriving at Denpasar airport. The driver was waiting at the front of the "pack" of drivers at the airport with a sign with our name on it and it avoided any hassles with drivers not knowing where to take you.
As stated in other reviews the hotel restaurant is very expensive by Bali standards and the food is also not up to the standards of most of the restaurants we tried in Sanur. We ate breakfast on our first morning in the resort for convenience and the crockery was quite dirty and stained.
As far as location goes we found the suites quite good it is on a major road and it's easy to get a taxi right out the front or get one of the hotel drivers to take you. A metered taxi costs about IDR 10000 to Sanur Beach or if you get the hotel driver to take you it should set you back about IDR 20000 other than that the hotel does provide a free shuttle service but the first one that goes to the main beach area doesn't leave until about 10am presumably to encourage you to have breakfast at the hotel and in the evening the last shuttle comes back to the hotel around 6pm. We found the transport and taxis really easy and so didn't mind the hotel being away from the main beach / shopping area in fact when you are on the main street in Sanur you can hardly walk 2 steps without a taxi beeping at you to see if you need a ride or someone asking you if "you need transport".
If you are thinking of booking these rooms based on the fact that it has cooking facilities - don't! We weren't planning on cooking so it didn't worry us but the kitchen in our room was very old, had virtually no cooking equipment and was a bit grotty.
The bath rooms were clean enough but in need of renovation they had obviously not been upgraded in a while.
In all we enjoyed our stay at the Suites it's definitely not 5 star probably more like 3.5 star but if you're after somewhere with plenty of space to base yourself while you do some exploring and you aren't wanting to eat in every meal the Suites are a good option.

Sanur Paradise Plaza Suites are nice, though the bathrooms let the rest of the rooms down!!! Make if staying there to tell your drive suites not hotels as there are two different sites!!! nothing outstanding for the money we payed and for same price or cheaper you can get a whole lot nicer!!! it is out of the way located on the highway you are a five minute drive from the restaurants hardy's and the beach, with young children I would prefer to stay closer to the "main part" of sanur, this was our 3rd hotel to stay at in our trip and the only one out of the four I wouldnt bother returning to and wouldnt tell a friend about....service was good, food quiet average myself and our family arent fussy eaters but the food was nothing outstanding or desireable!!!

We stayed here in October 13 nights recomended by friends. It was out of our comfort zone as we always stay on the beach. Have been to Bali 16 times and stayed at some really good hotels in the past. We found the Plaza suits FANTASTIC the staff exellent always friendly and if you had a problem it was attended to staight away and I mean like less than 5 minites. We had a problem with the toilet and all I can say is they must of ran to our room so we thank you and your staff. My children had a ball around the pools with the pool attendants spot on and quick to respond no matter what the reason. Breakfast always good although heres a hint as a lot of Australians stay there get some Vegimite as most of the people were looking for it. Bake beans was a good when put out LOL. We enjoyed it so much that my wife and 3 others are going back there in November. The rooms were always spotless and really huge so you could relax for a day or 2 and chill out. Water bottles brilliant idea an initiative you should be proud of. Location not Ideal but you only have to pay a couple of bucks to get down the road to the main area. In a nutshell for space in your rooms and a friendly warming people you cannot find a better place to relax. Thank you Thank you My wife will see you in a few weeks

our extended family stayed in a 3 and 2 bed appratment which were adjoining which was great. The size of bedrooms and living spaces were excellent. We overlooked the pool which was large but needed some maintenence. Kids club and babysitting staff were brilliant - ask for Razmuni!!
the bathrooms were dated but good cooking supplies. Staff were very helpful.
location not great - but only a $2 trip to wherever you needed to go!

Great for families who want the kids in bed at night and room to play scrabble and drink bintangs!

We stayed for 5 nights at Sanur Paradise Plaza Suite, for starters taxi shall take you to to the hotel, because the 'suite' in not well known. It is on the main road (bypass) and has no shops or money changers nearby. The real catch in this suite is the breakfast. All rooms come without breakfast and if u need Breakfast u have to buy coupons which are grossly overpriced (ur dinner outside shall be cheaper than the breakfast), has very limited choices with flies buzzing all around. There are 2 pools, one is a normal pool, the other has a water chute... nothing great about it. The Kids Play area is bad, staff are bored and least helful. They have a shuttle that takes u to the beach, they have a tie up with a local Cafe on the beach which is located on the worst part of Sanur beach. My suggestion, just avoid this hotel; instead if u are with 5 & more, check out the Swiss Villa on Seminyak Beach. But please do not make the mistake we did.

We stayed with two young children in a two bedroom suite. The food at the hotel is pretty ordinary and expensive for what it is (especially for breakfast buffet) and definitely so compared to Sanur Beach restaurants. Take advantage of the free shuttle (or outside taxis - 15,000 - 20,000 to Sanur beach) to the beach to eat. The room was clean and well set up - everything we needed.
The kids club staff are fantastic - our kids loved them and I had ultimate trust in the staff there. The pools are great, regularly cleaned and maintained. Kids loved the kids club and the pools - especially the water slide.
A massage on the last day at the spa was unbelieveable!
The location is the only downer really. Jalan By Pass Ngurah Rai is a toxic strip of concrete with very little to walk to nearby. More shuttle buses run by the hotel would be a good addition.
