There's no free wi-fi, the rooms are a little dated, but Gazebo Beach Hotel and Cottages provides good value for money accommodation when compared to other hotels along the beach. There's three pools, and the gardens are just amazing, you could spend one entire day just ambling through.

I paid 650,000 rp a night for single accom (about $70 AUD) - my sis paid 1,125,000 RP (around $125 pn) for a 2 bedroom apartment for her family of 5.

For something cheaper, you can get a really nice room just across the road from the beach at Flashblacks, with pool and fabulous restaurant for around 150,000 RP - no aircond, bathroom shared with the room next door - or a one bedroom self-contained bungalow (with aircond) for around 450,000RP. This is much better value for money than any of the beachfront places in my opinion - but book ahead, because they're booked up months in advance.

Stayed here for 5 nights in a garden villa. Very clean and some lovely authentic Balinese touches. The room was large with a huge bed and table and chairs plus a lounge. TV and bar fridge. Bathroom and main room had doors to a small private courtyard with outside shower and a rigged up clothesline (tacky but pretty useful). The bathroom was basic but clean, shower pressure not great. Gardens were lovely though a little over grown in parts with 2 swimming pools and a children's pool. The breakfast buffet was basic and it was left to the customer to ask for their choice. Noone expalined this so the first morning we only had fruit, toast and coffee. Staff were friendly but seemed bored, the impression seems to be that management might be running it down. However we spent a lovely time here. right on the beach, near to the shops and restaurants and well away from awful Kuta. Buy your cheap beer and drinks across the road sit on your balcony and enjoy the peace. Good price as well.

we stayed there for 2 nights. the room and the bathroom were very small and uncomfortable. we payed 75 US$ per night for a double room. the bed was dirty under the sheets. the A/C exploded one night. room smelled bad. no place to feel comfortable, maybe the more expensive rooms are better, but ours was never worth 75 US$!!! what a rip-off!
only positive thing: it's nearby the beach.
breakfast was not very good. no reason to get up. only reason to get up: get out of the room!

I've loved this place for years and reviewed it a few years ago as well. Unfortunately, it seems to be going downhill and I'm reluctantly concluding I probably won't stay there again. The management seems to be a mess -- constantly changing their minds about what they want to do, so that there are half-completed construction projects around the grounds -- and the staff is quite unhappy, which shows in the overall feeling of the place. Many of the staff remain enthusiastic and friendly -- in particular Betri and Putu at the front desk -- but I think the overall uncertainty of the management is really taking a toll on staff morale for everybody. Plus the fact that prices have been rising steadily, even for long-term customers such as myself, with little increase in services or room quality. If you know which rooms to choose you can still have a nice experience here, but most long-term customers know which rooms to go for so it can be quite hard to get what you want and on my last trip I was shunted into a dark, musty room with -- bizarrely -- three separate shower stalls, as if renovations had been halted in the middle of the work.

I blame management, which has taken a good hotel and over the past four years or so dragged it steadily downhill. It really makes me sad.

we stayed at Gazebo hotel for 3 nights in August in one of their suites, precisely room 209. that was the best hotel room ever, in the corner of a beautiful and peaceful garden. The whole staff was very professional, kind and always there to help, especially the Lady who welcomed us on our arrival day. Thank you for our wonderful stay and congratulations !

Second time at the Gazebo, according to staff it is in it's last 18 months before demolition - that is probably starting to show with the decor and maintanence around the hotel.

Great spot however, on the beach, bar on the beach, close to all Sanur attractions. Staff great, food OK and not badly priced, drinks also reasonably priced.

Room 219 and 265 great.

Will stay again!

Stayed here for 5 nights with my 11 year old daughter. We walked in from the street and got a room for 3 nights - liked the place so much that we chose to stay another two nights - unfortunately in a different room.

Room 212 is perfect - not so expensive - a small house with aircon, bathroom and peace and quietness out to a little garden. There are 3 swimmingpools and a restaurant fwith a buffetbreakfast by the beach.
For a small beachholliday we would come back here any time!!!
