This hotel is very nice for the price but I found it to be very noisy as it is close to the road. The room was very nice with good air-conditioning, clean with a nice bathroom. I had a walk in shower which is a lot easier for me than climbing into a bath to have a shower. Breakfast was nice but abit more expensive than you can buy at other restaurants/cafes. The pool is big with plenty sun lounges. I had a great stay, the staff are lovely and friendly.

Room Tip: If I stay here again I will ask for a room on the left side away from the road and where people live now I know. I live in a quiet place so am not used to noise while sleeping.

"the Bumi" is now our go to place in Sanur, it is a great budget hotel with everthing that you would need in the rooms..(phone, cable TV, tea/coffee fridge, comfortable bed..)
The breakfast is plentiful, with a large fresh fruit plate and good fresh juice.
The staff all remembered us which was lovely, and remembered the room numbers we stayed in!
Pool area friendly and can order food/drinks etc, very good prices.

Room Tip: We have stayed in 3 ground level rooms, the one at the back (44) was the one with the best wifi reception, and overlooking the pool All of the rooms were quiet.

First time staying on this side of the island. Sanur is definitely quieter than the kuta area. We came as part of a group of 12 adults and children. others had arrived before us. on our arrival late in the night we were greeted with "we do not have a booking for you". we mentioned we were part of a larger group and that the booking had been made a few months before. This was then rectifyed and we were taken to our room. Upon speaking to the rest of the group they mentioned that they had received the same message. Our room was a good size and clean, bed was comfy. one concern was the bathroom. Our shower had no hot water. we were there for four days. we did mention this to reception on our first morning in but the shower was never fixed. we ended up having to take a hot shower in our friends room. the toilet also did not flush properly.. The door into the room was buckled and had a huge gap at the top. They need to do some serious fixing of these problems. Stay away from room 36 if you want a hot shower. Pool was a god send in the bali heat and was used frequently by our group. only concern were some broken tiles. the staff were lovely and helpful although not everyone spoke to you even if you spoke to them. not all the taxi drivers knew where to go or even where the hotel was. In saying all this our overall stay was ok. just a shame these few little things are what we are going to remember.

Dear our valued guests,

Thank you for your review toward our Hotel.
We do apologies with the trouble regarding hot water in your room.

Our hot water is using Gas which when it finish it wont heat the water and need to change it. Allow the water to boil within 10 - 15 minutes.

Your concern is our priority to improve. We do thank you for your kind review and we will do our best to improve the rest of our facilities.

Thank you.

We have stayed at Bumi Ayu 5times on our 20+ trips to Bali. This hotel is a quiet oasis back from the main road. The gardens are well maintained and it is peaceful just to walk around the property.
The rooms are spacious and clean and have the essentials for a Bali holiday, shower, good bed and air conditioning and there appears to be ongoing updating of the rooms. The staff are all very helpful and no request is too hard. The pools are now crystal clear. The food at their restaurant is tasty and fresh although breakfast does become a bit boring after 14 days. Everything in Sanur is close handy, shops, beach, restaurants and their drivers have late model cars with good air conditioning. This property is real Bali without the bells and whistles.

Quite basic. But clean and cool rooms with a reasonable size pool. Food was nice and cheap. Gardens a bit unkept, but not too bad. Service was no problem and it's in a good location for small shops and lots of places to eat within walking distance. Only small problems were no room safe and ther were no DVD players or scooters available to rent for the whole time we were there. Otherwise great value.
