“Decent cafe experience”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

La Playa cafe is just located next to the Bali Hyatt on the beachfront, as all beach side cafes it has an option of sitting facing the beach though I will say the view is not that great and since its by the walkway there is no privacy. The cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, for breakfast you will find choices of English, Australian and Indonesian breakfast, the same item can also be ordered A la carte. For lunch and dinner you have choice of international and local favourites, the quality ,portion size and presentation are good. They also have a drinks menu which is good by the cafe standards. Service is warm, friendly and quick. A live band performs in the evening on selected days. In all a good place to have cheap and decent food by the beach.

“Love this place”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

We had enjoyed our meal last September so we keen to try it out again this year. The food was still delicious, we shared the Balinese rijsttafel and it was just as yummy as last year. We loved having a table on the sand so the kids could play while we waited for our meals. The staff are always lovely and the prices very reasonable.

“Amazing food and service”
Reviewed May 19, 2013 via mobile

La Playa Cafe was a very unexpected surprise. We arrived late afternoon and sat enjoying the tranquil surrounds as we watched the locals enjoying their beautiful beach, we sat and had a few ice cold bintangs and very good margarities...chillaxing by the water. The outlook of Nusa Lembongang and ambiance was an excellent way to bring and end to our day.
Ordering the Balinese platter for two was a brilliant call by my better half, it arrived on a huge platter of 7 bamboo leaf bowls, and 2 lots of sata sticks an amazing array of traditional food. Seriously delicious. The staff were so polite and unitrusive yet always on hand.
This will be a fav of mine to revisit in the near future. Thank you to staff and owners for the experience.

“Great place”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

La Playa is a new restaurant on the beach (opened less than a year ago) and it is a very good option especially for those staying in Bali Hyatt (it is the "next door" on the beach).
We went there for a dinner several times during our recent stay in Sanur and were never disappointed.
I would not say that the quality of food is exceptional but it is above average compared with other dining options in Sanur. And it is definitely worth they are charging because it is cheap (or at least very reasonable) compared with other restaurants in the area. Another big plus is its location on the beach because the breeze coming from the sea together with outdoor seating makes it very comfortable in the evening.
And the staff is very nice.

“Great setting - very average food”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

Travelling on business. Had the Tuna Steak apparently on the menu for the first time. It was Ok .... but not more. Had a frozen blue margarita which was not much short of straight tequila. Thought I'd better, opt for a glass for Jacobs Creek after that - it was even worse. This is not the place to come if you're looking for a good meal, but the setting is great.

I just loved sitting and watching the sun set, who needs food.
