“Great place”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

La Playa is a new restaurant on the beach (opened less than a year ago) and it is a very good option especially for those staying in Bali Hyatt (it is the "next door" on the beach).
We went there for a dinner several times during our recent stay in Sanur and were never disappointed.
I would not say that the quality of food is exceptional but it is above average compared with other dining options in Sanur. And it is definitely worth they are charging because it is cheap (or at least very reasonable) compared with other restaurants in the area. Another big plus is its location on the beach because the breeze coming from the sea together with outdoor seating makes it very comfortable in the evening.
And the staff is very nice.

“Great setting - very average food”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

Travelling on business. Had the Tuna Steak apparently on the menu for the first time. It was Ok .... but not more. Had a frozen blue margarita which was not much short of straight tequila. Thought I'd better, opt for a glass for Jacobs Creek after that - it was even worse. This is not the place to come if you're looking for a good meal, but the setting is great.

I just loved sitting and watching the sun set, who needs food.

“La Playa Café”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

La Playa Café is situated next to the Bali Hyatt Sanur on the beachfront. The food was fantastic the seafood platter was the best I have had in Bali we went back the next night and I had the sweet and sour pork and the pork was so tender it just melted in your mouth. The drinks were always cold and the service was prompt and the staffs are all happy and friendly.
I was so surprised at the price of the food it was not expensive and it was all fresh.
We also enjoyed being on the beach because it was a lot cooler than being stuck in a restaurant.
We will be back next time we are in Bali.

“Delicious & interesting”
Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

Enjoyed a lovely lunch at this restaurant right on the beach. Cap cay had great selection of fresh vegetables. Two of us chose the Bali Rinsfadel for 2 ( sorry cant spell it) and it was a wonderfully presented selection of Bali foods with all the accompaniments. Attentive service added to our enjoyment of this venue.

“Excellent Grilled Mahi Mahi”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

Beachside, next door to the Bali Hyatt, this place is perfect for an evening meal with sand in your toes, and the gentle breeze flowing through. Idyllic.Tried this place twice, after friends raved about it from 3 visits in 2 weeks.First time on a Sunday night (Relief chef)..and to be honest was a disapointment. best said...avoid Sundays. But, gave it another shot, and was very impressed..The Owner/Chef was back and the food and plates were hot, the beer very cold...and the Grilled Mahi Mahi with Sambal on the side was great. Staff were very attentive and had direction, Setting is great, fresh, new and has a glass fronted kitchen that gives cleanliness a huge tick. Chef / Owner was keen to get feedback on both visits, and was pleased to get a 2nd chance...they didn't waste it! Very good beach fare
