We spent 5 days in a 3 bed pool villa. The accommodation is excellent, spacious, well equipped and of a very high standard. For those with a family or in a group, the 3 bed villa is an excellent choice. We were fortunate with an online promotion (think a little out of season) and so it was very good value too.
The hotel is beautiful and well designed. The infinity pool area, spa, furniture and decor make for a top end feel. The spa is excellent and worth a visit at prices about half of what one would pay in Singapore.
The staff are polite, friendly and helpful. On our final day the arranged a last minute, takeaway breakfast for us as we had an early flight - thank you! We ate frequently at the poolside restaurant and the quality was excellent, certainly better than eating outside of the resort.
What would make the place perfect? On rare occasions, the staff didn't quite deliver. I believe this may be a language issue, as there is no doubt they were willing and wanting to help. Nevertheless, occasionally an order or request seemed to get lost in translation. Not a big problem at all, but with competition springing up everywhere, something for the management to consider.

Tips: The regency restaurant is probably the best in the area, aircon in the villa is fierce! The sun is deceptively hot in Bali, so cover up. Breakfast gets busy, so try and get there early to get your a la carte order in, get to the spa early to soak up the atmosphere before your treatment, the hotel will book you a day trip with a driver at a very reasonable $90 per day, room service is excellent and will also do children's food even though not on the menu.

I have spent 3 nights at this new property and I am glad we have chosen this hotel at this location. Sanur is definitely a nice choice if you are a frequent visitor to Bali, it has preserved a local charm and the location is great, between Ubud and the airport/Kuta/Seminyak, I would definitely recommend this area when in Bali.
The Regent is a beautiful property, the rooms are large and well appointed, with a lovely lounge area and a great bathroom with L'Occitaine amenities! The only criticism about the room, will be the air con as it can be quite noisy, but that's not a major issue.
The Pool is absolutely amazing and relaxing, but the beach is not the best, but you can still rent a jet ski and do snorkelling for an affordable price.
Breakfast was also really really good, with a great choice, specially for westerners.
All in All, a great hotel, and better at this time of the year, where it feels the hotel is all for yourself!

6 years of being a regular traveller to Bali, this was our first time to Sanur. And honestly, can’t really see a reason to go back to Seminyak after staying at the Regent. Sanur is much quieter and to a degree not as touristy as Seminyak which is perfect if you’re getting a bit fed up of how crowded, claustrophobic and expensive Seminyak is becoming.

We were only here for 2 nights so chose the Regent as one of the few 5 star hotels on the beach. Being under a year old, everything about it is still new, well decorated with touches of local and modern features which simply doesn’t disappoint. From the friendly staff at check-in, actually all the staff were brilliant and a special mention goes out to Agus. They remember your name, remember your itineary and continually making sure your needs are taken care of. We asked for a late checkout as our flight wasn’t till 8pm and were presented with a 5pm checkout, no extra costs. This is a first for us and simply a nice touch. The hotel layout itself is vast. With great big reception, dining, drinking, communal and garden areas. You don’t feel crammed in like some of the Balinese hotels. The pool is near to the beach but set back and above the public beach path. This makes a huge difference as from the pool you can only see the ocean and are not being over looked by or hear the pedestrian and cyclic traffic you get along the path.

The pool is also one of the largest I’ve even seen, with shaded areas at either end and backing onto a poolside restaurant which offers a mixture of western and balinese cuisine. The restaurant is not as cheap as the local restaurants along the beach, which as an FYI are a nice alternative as there’s a good choice either side of the hotel all within a few minutes walk, but is still good value for money, especially if you can’t be bothered to drag yourself away from the pool. We ate there twice and were impressed.

The beach itself is quiet, clean and mainly used by hotel guests only. There is service down there, but to be honest, with how well laid out the pool area is, you’ll tend to stay up there and only venture down maybe for a walk or a quick dip.

We chose to include breakfast in our room rate which is part-buffet and very good value for money in terms of choice and standard. It starts nice and early at 6.30am, which is great for people like ourselves who were up early to head out surfing. This leads to another point which is the location of the hotel in relation to walking distance of different activities along the beach. There are surf schools, boat trips, massage huts, local markets, restaurants, bars, all within 5 - 30 minutes walk either side of the hotel which is ideal. And since you have the public beach path, you don’t have to walk with your eyes down like you do with the pavements in Seminyak with their missing paving stones and glaring holes!

We ended up with a garden view room on the 3rd floor instead of going for a villa. Perfect choice as well. You’re presented with an enormous bathroom with free standing stone bath (wife was straight in there on the first night…..) a separate walk in rain shower and separate toilet cubicle. I’ve stayed in hotel rooms which were smaller than this bathroom. The bedroom itself has a King Size bed in the middle of the room which means you can walk all the way around it giving it a nice spacious feel. Being new, you had the latest flat screen TV, iPod docking station and all controls for the room are electronic and by the side of the bed. The icing on the cake for us, is the outdoor living room. This is about the same size as the bedroom again, reached through sliding double doors which when opened turn off the aircon in the bedroom which is a nice energy saving touch. This area is furnished with day beds an outside TV, complimentary soft drink mini-bar, and your tea / coffee making facilities. If you roll up the blinds you have a perfect view out across the central gardens, blinds down it’s perfect privacy to layback and read or watch a bit of TV.

The TV choice is vast and wide, with movie, childrens, sports, news and lifestyle choices all readilyy available. WiFi is free and continuous throughout the hotel. Again, a nice touch.

The hotel isn’t overly busy, or doesn’t feel it, which is ideal if you’re looking for somewhere to recharge the batteries. Take a walk along the beach and check out some of the busier hotels which you can see into. You’ll see the restaurants cramped, the pool areas stacked and generally full. Since the Regent doesn’t have walk ins to their restaurants or the pool being path side, it’s nice and secluded and generally just feels that much more exclusive. If you’re looking for a few days R & R, exceptional Balinese hospitality, a break from touristy and over crowded hotels, then this is the place.

Room Tip: 3rd or 4th floor garden view room.

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending time at The Regent Bali last night enjoying "happy hour" from 5-7pm where beers and cocktails are 2 for 1 with included free canapes and wonderful relaxing live music. The atmosphere overlooking the beautiful beach at Sanur, combined with 5* service and comfortable relaxing sofas, makes this a must do for anyone staying in Sanur. Thank you to Kadek Paitri who runs this fantastic Bar at The Regent Bali for her great service and welcoming us so enthusiastically to happy hour. We are looking forward to returning again on Friday as well as for Sunday brunch very soon.

We have just returned from Regent Bali, Sanur. This resort is nearly 1 year old and beautiful.
We stayed in an Ocean View Room on the 4th Floor and although we didn't mind, we were paying extra for an Ocean View and if you were expecting an "Ocean View", you would be disappointed! You can barely see the ocean through the trees. The room is lovely with modern Balinese furniture. Bathromm is amazing! The balcony is huge with a long daybed, tv, table & chair in this area. Personally we felt this area was wasted and could have been made better use as it was very hot to sit out in, but some guests may love it.

The breakfast is excellent, buffet and al a carte. On the first day, we requested some healthier options from what was available on buffet and the next day, all these options were available to us. The food and beveridge manager came to speak to us and honestly couldn't do more to help. I personally have never experienced such amazing service in any hotel I have stayed in the world. The customer service is exceptional and ALL the staff are genuinely so friendly and cannot do enough to help you.

Perhaps the only feedback I would offer is the lunch and dinner menu. We struggled to find light meals for around the pool and dinner and we felt it was an unusual vegetarian menu for around the pool. I personally would much prefer a gourmet club sandwich or wood fire pizza than a risotto for around the pool. In saying this, none of our requests for this type of meal was denied and everything we had was very tasty.

The beach was nice, but we felt that the surrounding area of Sanur was disappointing. There is so much potential for lovely waterfront cafe's and restaurants, yet alot a very run down and very tired looking. It's a shame because you have the perfect setting, yet it's a letdown.

Our stay at Regent, Sanur was great. The resort and staff made our stay and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. It will be very hard to beat.

Room Tip: I wouldn't bother with Ocean View as there is very little "Ocean View"

This place made our stay in Bali incredible. The service and the staff are amazing, always ready to assist and suggest places to go. We booked a Villa with my family, it was really a great infrastructure and really clean. The two restaurants are a great alternative to the Bali food offer and the Spa is incredible. It's a very relaxing place with an incredible infrastructure and really family oriented.

Room Tip: We booked a villa, with a family is the perfect solution.
