“Casual and yummy”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

I know Bob the owner for years. He makes great home-made salsa and truly yummy Mexican dishes. His is a great place to come in, enjoy a drink with a friend and fill up on comfort food. And... its a two minute walk down to the beach.

“We will be back”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

We visited here on our 1st night of 2 nights in Sanur. We both love mexican food and my husband wanted to give it a try as they had a few mexican dishes on the menu as well as many other choices. We shared a starter of chili rellenos and they brought out 2 jars of homemade salsas with it. One was a red salsa which i loved and the other was a green hotter salsa which was apparently good as my husband ate half of the jar ! He then ordered a burrito and i chose the enchileda, both of which we enjoyed. In total, including beer and wine our bill was 200,000rp approx. $20.00.

We had a nice chat with Bob the owner, originally from the U.S. (i am from there as well). All in all, good food, good atmosphere and very good prices. We will be sure to return on our next visit.

“good tex mex in bali”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

We both love mexican food so it is no surprise that i looked for mexican food on our recent visit. I read the reviews before we left so i had an idea of what to expect.

We had a dish of chilli rellenos for a shared starter. Whilst i agree with a previous review that they were not a traditional one, they were more like a popper from the states. Poppers are cheese stuffed jalapenos which are battered or crumbed, so by definition are a form of chilli rellenos. We enjoyed them.

For mains i had the burrito which came with a jar each of red and green salsa. The green one was hot but so good i ate nearly half a jar. Bob makes it himself with chillies he has grown in the mountains. Yummo. My wife had the enchiladas which she enjoyed. The only criticism was it needed a touch of salt. Easily fixed at the table and my doctor would have been happy with that anyway.

The ambience was good and the place has a nice open feel. Just dont get attacked by a suicide bug like me, i nearly spilled my beer!

The owner bob was very friendly and suggested a house red to go with dinner, and for bali, was quite a nice drop.

Will be back next trip

“fantastic food /staff”
Reviewed June 20, 2012

this is still one of my all time favourites ,i have never been disapointed in the quality of the food in all the years i have been visiting bali from excellent steaks cooked how you like them, indonesian dishes which i find are better quality than some of the beach restaurants and more flavoursome than most,to the wonderful home made apple pie and cheesecake staff are friendly and service is good .its has such a relaxed atmosphere as it is away from the hustle and bustle of the beach and set back from the road . is always the first place i eat at when i return to bali and the last place i eat when it is time to leave
