“Comfortable stay”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

Had a comfortable stay at Puri Santrian.
First experience on entering the premises was good. Reception is a huge area and staff were pleasant to deal with. There is lot of greenery in the resort which create a great atmosphere.
Room was similar to what other hotels offered but the best part was the balcony where you can sit and admire sunrise with your cup of coffee.
Pool was nice with a pool bar attached.
The beach area was pretty ok but I liked Legion beach better than Sanur beach, when tide is out you can walk to the floating Gazebos as shown in Puri Santrian's photos.
Hotel offer bikes (for a price) but when we went they were all gone hence hired same from shops outside hotel. Biking with my family on Sanur beach was a excellent experience. There are number of restaurant (all varieties) etc on the entire beach front stretch of Sanur and you can enjoy those.
Staff at hotel were pleasant to deal with.
Breakfast was pretty ok, not grand. The best seats to have breakfast (On the beach) appeared to be reserved for Club Santrian guys but i may be wrong on that as when we asked for same we were told thats those are reserved. At times staff appeared to be pressed as tables being set up for breakfast was not proper with cutlery, salt , sugar etc missing for which you have to ask for. Normally staff comes and offer coffee or tea but here at times we have to search for guys to serve the same.
Overall comfortable stay.

We stayed in Puri Santrian for a week in April and enjoyed every day of it. The resort is very well kept, beautiful gardens and swimming pools that gives intimate feel to a resort. We stayed in the Santrian Club win and had a room overlooking a swimming pool. A room was big and well kept. This is a lovely resort with a unique Balinese architecture and luxury feel that is also very affordable. They also have a great spa that has a daily 2 for 1 deal and is a MUST.
The only thing that was not entirely positive was overpriced restaurants on site offering OK food but really not worth the money you spend there.

We stayed in the Puri Santrian for 5 days from the 6th of April with 2 kids - 11 years and 3 years old. We were upgraded to Premium Deluxe rooms from the beach wing room as we checked in and while the room was just next to the reception with no view of the beach (actually none of the rooms have a beach view), it was spacious and comfortable for our family of four. The room was a bit on the darker side but given we spent all our time at the beach or the pool, it didnt make a difference!

The staff were always smiling and helpful - especially the ladies at the restaurant by the beach. We had some special requests for food for our 3 year old and the staff were happily accomodative.

The children LOVED the pools and the beach and we ended up lazing at the hotel all 5 days and saw nothing else of sanur!

The place though seemed to be preferred mostly by older guests and there were very few families with young children...so we were sometimes nervous at mealtimes in the restaurants as ours were the only noisy kids in the place!

We stayed in the Melia for 5 days after Puri and my elder son seemed to prefer Puri while the younger one like Melia better (few dozens of kids his age all playing rowdy at the pool and the beach at the Melia).

Would we stay at the Puri Santrian again - probably yes!

My husband and I just returned from the Puri Santrian after a week in Bali. We truly loved our experience at this hotel! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, as well as the Mezzanine restaurant and beach club restaurant. We enjoyed the variety of pools and happy hour at the pool bar. The beach is kept clean and overall the place is very well maintained.
It was a very luxurious hotel, and the price was very affordable compared to other hotels of this caliber other places.
One suggestion I would have is that it is extremely dark on the hotel grounds at night. We arrived after dark and it was hard to find your way around and I would suspect it can be dangerous for small children.
I would have also liked there to be music until bar close at the beach restaurant. It was a little uncomfortable when the music stops two hours before the bar actually closes.
In my opinion this is the nicest hotel in Sanur, but Sanur in general is a little quiet. Despite the big selection of bars and restaurants on the street, none were open very late and we were surprised by how early many bars closed. If you're looking for some good night life then Sanur may not be the place for you. But if you're looking for luxury then this is it!

Great hotel directly on the nice clean beach. we stay 4 night and got an upgrade for a suit room. stuff was very helpfull and the food at the beach club was really good. we ask for a late check out and got charged 50US $ for a check out at 6pm what was a fair deal.
breakfast was a good international standard.

We stayed at the Puri Santrian in Sanur, Bali after spending a wonderful stay at the Qunci Villas in Sanggigi, Lombok. The Puri Santrian is well located on Sanur Beach, with lots of restaurants and shops around, within easy walking distance. The pool area is very nice and comfortable to swim and lounge, a nice get away from the hustle and bustle of crazy Bali traffic. The hotel itself is older, and in need of renovations.
The hotel restaurant serves an ample and good breakfast (extra cost). The hotel rate is on the higher side compared to other similar hotels. The security deposit policy is an outdated practice, which we seldom encounter. The golden sand beach is OK.

Room Tip: A room overlooking the pool area is nice. For low cost meals, the beach eateries are an option offe...
