We have stayed at The Puri Santrian six times, our last stay was January 2014. We won't be staying again.

We also had issues with the sun loungers our four complaints were not acknowledged. What is the point of signage stating there is to be no reserving of sun lounges if this is not adhered to by the pool attendants .

The club rooms are tired and there is a strong smell from the drains.

its a shame money is spent on the stunning grounds and not the rooms.

There are now better hotels in close vicinity.

We paid top dollar for Club room and unfortunately very disappointed.
Rooms are very old and have not seen a refurbishment in years.
We were allocated a ground floor room which seemed a good spot at first being close to the pool however we had evening and morning rats pass us each day.
The sun lounges were also an issue as most guests reserved them at the crack of dawn and did not return until whenever and staff did nothing to remove towels that had been there for hours on end even though there was signage stating there was no reserving of sun lounges.
Service was very slow and not up to scratch on the prices this resort charges.
We checked out early and got a five star hotel alot cheaper with excellent service.
My suggestion to you all is that this is not The Hyatt which has closed for renovation. There are a lot more lovely resorts at a fraction of the price that deliver very good guest service.

As a belated 50th Birthday celebration, my girlfriends and I decided to stay at the Puri Santrian.
A very quiet and relaxing resort. Staff are friendly and always happy to help. We had a little misunderstanding when we wanted our toilet fixed - was running water continually. They came and left us a note about our air conditioner! Eventually our toilet was fixed, but they would have been happy for us to change rooms if we had insisted.
Beware of service tax/charge! At the bottom of menus/massage vouchers etc, there is( in small font)a 21% tax charge for everything. This can add quite a substantial amount to any purchase you make. I was also charged a 75c administration fee for a phone call I made(and paid for) In no place was this charge mentioned. When I queried this charge the staff told me it was an administration fee. I know it is only 75c, but it could have added up if I was using the phone everyday -several times a day. Anyway it's the principle - a hidden cost.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the pool and beach. Lovely. They took the King size bed out and put 3 sing...

We are currently at this hotel spending 10 nights. The staff are very friendly and always happy, food is good and service exceptional. Pool area is lovely and well kept.

The only thing that let's this hotel down is the tired rooms, they do need updating especially the bathroom as who has a shower curtain these days in a hotel room!!!

Over all though, great location and would recommend.m

A better choice of pillows though is always a plus!!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a club room

The rooms in garden wing are not more than from a lower 3 star hotel. Everything is wet like the beds. Bathroom very elimentary. Food is reasonable. Staff ok. I would strongly advice to go to another hotel, this not value for money and for sure no 4 star hotel.

Lovely Rooms and Staff. If booking Garden Wing ask if you can have room away from the Building Site. They are building new accommodation which will not be finished until maybe end of year. It is rather loud during day hours. The builders are gone by about 4.00pm everyday but is annoying if trying to relax.

This hotel is built in the classic resort style, lots of landscaped grounds, interesting features unique to Bali style (the elephant and gryphon pool fountains, offering temples and stone figures throughout the ground). It has several pools and great beachfront, with good variety of lounging space - covered pagodas on beach & on water, as well as well kept lounge chairs. The beach restaurant food could be a little better, with a broader menu. Hotel is in the process of upgrading its rooms, which is needed. It's hard to avoid mildew in a humid environment like Bali (as several reviewers have complained about in the past). They just need to use beach before caulking in the bathroom and recaulk frequently, and voila! no mildew.

Room Tip: The best room interiors are the 'premium deluxe' (most upgraded) but they are also furthest...
