We found this magic place to be a great holiday venue for our adult family, and wee grand daughter of 7 months. We were provided with a high hair and cot both were very good. There were 4 very unique spacious Bdrms with ensuite. The master bedroom is massive and all air conned there aremany spaces for chilling out and the gardens are beautiful with lots of birds , this place transforms into fairyland at night when the gardens and statuary light up. We were well looked after by the caretaker, who prepared a delicious breakfast each day. It is a short walk to the beach and shopping areas, if you don't feel like walking the taxis are very cheap and it was great to have been provided with a mobile with local sim to arrange transport and book restaurants. Lots of great local eateries close by.
Loved Sanur it's the first time here . will definitely be back great place to de stress and chill out.. My only suggestion would be to have a couple of bikes for guests, but these are easily rented from the beach areas.

Villa Sekala was the setting for our best holiday ever, and I cannot recommend the villa highly enough. Shelley the owner was warm, friendly and helpful from the outset and on arrival at the amazing villa, greeted by Komang's smile, we all felt instantly relaxed (even after a long flight!).
The villa itself is exquisitely decorated, spacious and well appointed with the most magical garden and vast outdoor living space. It is even more breathtaking than in the photos!
Villa Sekala is located down a quiet lane, just minutes from the beach. Komang arranged bike hire for us which we used daily to explore the whole of Sanur. Nyoman the dependable, friendly & informative driver took us on several trips further afield. What really sets this villa apart from others is the amazing warmth, friendliness and attentiveness of Komang and her delightful family.Nothing was ever too much trouble and it was a pleasure getting to know them. We really miss them all!
The daily breakfasts were delicious and Komang also prepared several amazing feasts for us which we all voted the best meals in Sanur! Komang, Komang, little Sam & Bobby & Debbi the dogs made this an unforgettable holiday and we hope to return as soon as possible.

From the initial pre-booking contact till well after finishing our stay, the helpfulness and friendliness is second to none and makes you feel truly welcome. All requests we made were quickly answered and Shelley and her team went out of her way to help in every way. The property is an oasis of calm with a lovely garden with exotic fruit trees, our kids loved picking star fruit for breakfast. It was great being able to sit in the open loving room and watch the kids play in the garden. There are many quirky art works that light up at night and give a lovely atmosphere. The pool is a good size, lovely and clean with a shallow end our youngest kids could stand in. The house is all on one level so no worries with stairs. Komang was a joy and looked after us so well. Her breakfasts are delicious and we even tried her home baked bread! She was always on hand to help with cars and transport. The transport company we used had excellent cars and a careful and helpful driver. Beach and main shopping restaurants are within an easy and quick walk or a cheap taxi ride away. After we left Komang went out of her way to continue helping us after we forgot an item at the villa.
A lovely relaxing time for the whole family, will definitely be back :)

This was the second time I stayed at Villa Sakala with a group of friends. I just love the character and all the art throughout the complex. The rooms and living area are very spacious and coupled with the generously sized yard, there is always somewhere to get some quiet 'me time' from the group.
Komang once again took care of all our needs. She is so intuitive, taking our breakfast orders at just the perfect time. The breakfast she cooks each morning: just amazing- omelettes, eggs anyway, freshly prepared fruit, pancakes and toast. It is no wonder I put on a couple of kilos.

Well, this was my first time in Bali with my young family(6 and 3)
We decided to stay four days in the Sanur area. When we arrived we were blown away by the size of the villa. It's huge! It's beautiful and we straight away relaxed. There was only four of us, so we only used two rooms. This villa can easily accommodate small or bigger numbers.
Shelley, the owner, was always very helpful via emails before we arrived. The family who caretakers the villa are an absolute delight.
I would suggest to arrange scooters or bikes as it is a little out of the way of shops and restaurants if you walk but only 3 mins on a scooter!

Friendly staff, tranquil gardens, luxurious appointments, the Villa Sekala has it all. At home in a soaking wet Sydney my family were coping torrential rains and driving winds were creating chaos, but it was easy to ignore the drama while relaxing in the pool or on the verandah of this gorgeous villa.
The location is far enough out of the main part of town to feel like a real retreat, while close enough to enjoy restaurants, bars and shopping within walking distance.
I hope to return one day.

This is my third stay at Villa Sekala and each time I leave, I know I'll be back. The garden's tranquillity and beauty, and the charming Komang desi are just two reasons why Villa Sekala is an oasis. The calm, gentle neighbourhood, stylishly understated Sanur and the villa's warm, curvaceous decor are the others. Oh, then there is breakfast ...
