I have been frequenting the southern areas of sanur for many years. Many of the older warungs have gone and been replaced by others. The area is peaceful and the ocean provides reasonable swimming at higher tides

Lovely beach with lots of little warungs dotted along the way. The southern Cemara side is not as busy as the northern end of the beach path. Little warungs rather than cafe's for a more chilled atmosphere. Rent a beach chair and sit and people watch for hours.

Oh, we had fun here! The beach in-between the Puri Santrian and the Sanur Beach Club is very quiet with 3 restaurants and water-sports, but go to the public beach to the north of the Puri Santrian for some great people-watching, cold beers, great vibes and awesome jagung bakar. Much less hectic than further north (near Griya etc.) and much more fun.
