“Great food in a great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant was the best find during our recent two week stay in Sanur at the Parigata Hotel. We dined out every night but our early mistake was to restrict our evening dining to the restaurants on the main road through the township. During our second week we decided to venture along the beach and try some of the dining opportunities we had flagged during our daytime strolls.....a little disconcerting for some, including my wife, as the beach side pathway is poorly illuminated at night. However, this change of routine proved well worthwhile ..we discovered the delightful Minami.

We are great fans of Japanese food and here we found something that is quite exceptional. The wagu beef was perfect and the sashimi exceptional, the service considered and friendly, and the location at table or bar provided a great view of the beach area where, if you pick the correct night as we did, you can see local and traditional performance or fireworks AS PER OU SECOND VISIT.

Prices are a little higher than some of those we found in other local restaurants BUT my wife and I agreed that we got great value for money in terms of food, service, and the overall experience.

“Yummy Fresh Sushi !!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013

We ahve only just discovered this little gem of a place in front of the Segara Village. We have had 2 lunches here in the last week and have tried prawn tempura, salmon cream cheese sushi and chicken teriyaki sushi and the croquettes. All were delicious. Its also a nice people watching spot. We will be back!!

“Different to the rest”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013

9 of us went for dinner. Another family of 4 just finishing and left and 1 other couple just ordered. We ordered drinks but they took 15 minutes to arrive because they had to come from another establishment. Our food order started arriving some time later. When it come it was indeed quite nice. We asked for the bill and by this time we were the only patrons remaining. Bill took another 15 minutes. Evening was warm and still but there are no ceiling or mobile fans to improve air flow. 4 staff in the kitchen and it could be made to function much better for customer service. Food nice though.

“Great little beachfront japanese restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2013

Great little japanese restaurant on the sanur beach walk. Tasty food, great prices. Staff are very welcoming and not pushy. Four adults and two children ate at Minami for dinner and enjoyed it immensely, the food was fresh and delicious. The okonimyaki was quite big for one person. The eel sushi was tender. Salmon sushi was yummy. The tempura vegetables were fantastic. Alcoholic drinks are purchased from the bar next door and bought over to your table. Overall we would definitely return.
