“Delicious food. More local than touristy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

we were staying at the puri Santrian across the road and had passed this place by for the flashier places with music etc. On our last night we ventured in and were pleasantly surprised. The free drink to start was delicious and my boys asked for more which was freely given. Peanuts and Krupuk (prawn crackers) kept them waiting for their usual favourite satays. we had the local specialty chicken dish - stupidly I have forgotten the name but it was really yummy. The kids got a little souvenir at the end and it was a nice big space open to the street - a good last night experience

“Jegeg - nice but not special”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

we went in as it didn't have live music. sometime you want to hear yourselves rather than the Balinese bands playing covers, so we could still hear music from next door and across the street, but also culd talk.

A small welcoming arak and juice, plus some of the usual (usual in some restaurants) slightly soggy prawn crackers. Prices looked reaonable to start with but then you have to add the taxes. So prices then seem dearer, but still way cheap by Aussie standards.

It did have a nice open air atmosphere, but also a massage spa that just seemed out of place in a restaurant.

Downside would be the toilets, with ratiing of 2.5 out of 10 by all 4 of us.

“Good little restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2012

We were staying at the nearby Sanur Beach Hotel and because we had just arrived for our first night, didn't want to walk too far. This place is about 50m from the hotel entrance. Welcome drink of Arak with orange juice was very pleasant. Service was swift and friendly. Menu good - comprehensive but sufficiently small so that you could be sure that everything would be freshly cooked. Food very good and very inexexpensive.

“delicious indonesian food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2012

Nice ambience and well decorated restaurant. You can choose classic table or sofa.
We received free drinks and prawn crackers.
Then we had garlic bread, yellow rice with turmeric, peanut, and spiced coconut, traditional preparation of vegetables and satey (marinated steamed chicken breast with roasted coconut sauce).
Vey delicious!!
At the end: a bamboo souvenir and a candy.
