The hotel was really nice and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We visited Bali during November and the hotel played an extremely important part in making our trip an excellent one. We stayed there for 4 nights and we had booked a 1 bedroom suite, which was completely brand new and was very clean and hygienic. Had a small kitchenette which was the best part as we could cook our own Indian food to match our taste buds.
The best part was the location of the hotel as it was quite close to the Sanur Beach with easy accessibility. The ever helpful and always friendly staff members made our stay even more enjoyable.

Stayed in the 1 bedroom suite for around $70aud a night sans breakfast.

The 1br suite is actually a single room, with a small kitchenette in it's own corner, and not a suite with a separate living area.

The suite was brand new and very clean. The bathroom was particularly large and impressive, although it would probably have been better if they put a bath in, instead of a large shower (there is enough space).

The place was spotless and the service was fantastic. They provided a power adaptor fee of charge and arranged for a late checkout 6pm for about $30.

The pool was very nice and had excellent temperature.

The location is not central by any means, but they have a shuttle operating in the sanur area, and taxis are very cheap in Bali ( if you get them to use the meter)

We stayed for three days and hotel is very clean and staffs are very friendly and helpful. Except swimming pool is a bit dirty... My kids loved to swim at there, but I couldn't jump in... But staffs are always greeting with smile.. If I back to bali, I am going to stay at there one more time.

Room Tip: Asked staff for renting motor bike.. It is very very useful to look around.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night, the rooms are sized Like proper apartments and have proper cooking facilities. We found the service and cleanliness to be excellent for what we paid which was around 50 usd. The location is one of the backstreets of Sanur so the main strip is a bit of a walk away.

Firstly, we paid $69AUD a night and that included airport pick up, breakfast daily, 2 x 1 hour massages, free bike hire and free shutle service when required ( subject to availability ).
We have stayed in many hotels in SE asia and bang for your buck this was right up with the best. Personal service, room serviced 2x daily and swimming pool right outside your door, as long as you have a down stairs suite.
In fairness to other reviews, we were staying at a very quiet time of year so We can understand that during busy times it may be noisy and hard to get a free bike but the pool being half in the shade as some reviews have mentioned is petty criticism at best.

Sure you can rent a villa for half the price but you wont get helpful staff and food on demand unless you are an old bali hand and if you know what that means you probably should not be reading this review.

As first timers to Bali we highly recommend Astana and it is not all that far from the beach or the centre of Sanur as you might be led to believe. It is especially good if you are aiming to stay away from the rabble but still be within easy reach of some action.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at Astana during our first holiday in Bali and it was fantastic! The staff was very friendly, helpful and spoke pretty good english. The hotel is located a bit from the mainstreet of sanur, but they have bikes which are free to borrow and it takes you 10 min to get to there. Or you could get the hotel to call you a taxi. The taxitrip will then cost 25000 ruphia because they have a minimum charge. The rooms are big and gets cleaned once a day, they even do your dishes. The breakfast is also quite good. They have three menus that you can choose from, "balines, American and continantal breakfast". In the middle of the hotel the pool is located. It's not to big, but very cozy. All in all, the hotel is of a good quality, the staff is very friendly and if there is something they dont have that you want, they will fix it for you.

The hotel is great and very clean and neat. I found the service to be outstanding and in general I cannot find fault with the place. I think though for the price the breakfast could have been a bit better.
