Many travelers are scared of eating in local markets because of a)hygiene concerns, b)communication problems (what does that mountain of unidentified foodstuff contain and how spicy is it? )
To address the first concern, I can say I never had any stomach problems after eating at this market (or any other street food place in Indonesia).
As for the second thing, Pasar Sindhu is actually quite tourist-friendly, with many stalls having photos and descriptions in English of the unidentified food mounds :-)
And of course, very friendly locals to chat with.
I recommend the chocolate-banana pancakes for dessert, but make sure you share cause it's huuuuge!
