We first went to this restaurant while looking for another one and ended up going back three times over the following week at the request of our kids! The food was good on the whole - satays and pasta dishes were enjoyed by the kids and the chicken ayam and beef rending were the adults' faves. Nasi Goreng a bit bland but ok with added peanut sauce from the satays! Yummy crisps/crackers free with the drinks and friendly and efficient service.
Book if you want a table after 7.30 pm as it fills up fast.

This restaurant has been in Sanur ever since my first visit 20 years ago. Great indonesian food and well priced. They even offered us free wine glasses for our BYO!! They are always pretty busy so booking is a good idea.

This is another place that I would recommend that you go for dinner, it is only open for dinner from 3pm till late, very friendly and if you want a table in the front you would be advised to book one.

We have used this restaurant for the past few years and it still has high standards. They will pick you up at your hotel and drop you off later for no extra charge. We always reserve a table at the front so you can watch the people outside. We found it best to reserve as it is hard to just walk in between 7pm and 8pm. The staff are very pleasant .

Made's Bar & Restaurant is located on the upper end of main street (Jalan Danau Tamblingan) in Sanur. Friendly staff, but some struggle with English. nice, but dark decor. Had the Indonesian Ristjaffel (a mix of different rices, chicken, vegetable roll and Satays); the Satays were pretty average (dry), but the rest was good. Others had the Bihun Goreng Chicken & the Bihun Goreng Prawn and they were very good, but not a lot of taste. Food is aimed at Western palate. Drinks included a mixed juice, which very good, and the Arak (local spirit) Made, which was way too bitter for our tastes. Had these elsewhere and they had more honey, so perhaps ask for this. Rp. 257,000 for 3 people, including 2 cocktails, so overall good value and would visit again.
