Tried again this trip but found it was hit and miss. Husband loved the Tom yum goong and Mama added extra chillies and made a bigger serve when asked. My Mie Goreng was way below average and will not try them again from here as the same each time I have. Prices good but wouldn't make a special stop for this place. As mentioned by previous poster an ok lunch place.

It offers quite primitive food, which quality is just unpredictable.
In general simply average. We ordered for desert banana pancakes - looked like a classical stuff - we got not eatable gummy product with bananas to be given to cow only w

We tried this restaurant on a Lonely Planet recommendation and had to try three times to find it (the restaurant is a bit out of the way, and on top of it, turns out it moved...) Walk on the road past the Mercure toward South Sanur and keep going. It's one of those restaurants that has simple but great food and real atmosphere. Portions are hearty and the staff are very friendly (and Mama and her son are always there). Prices are about what you might pay for fast food on Bali. Seafood is really fresh and really nicely seasoned. We had fish one night and then splurged on lobster another time for our last night in Bali...needed to be ordered 24 hours in advance and much more expensive but was grilled with garlic and was super tasty! The coleslaw salad is some of the best I've ever had. Avocado and shrimp salad also is excellent. If you go, say hi to Mama and her son for us.

Great place... Homely feel and chicken curry that's great.. So cheap, and good quality!! Definitely worth a visit particularly if you're in the Mercure Hotel area....

We went there for dinner based on a recommendation from our driver who took us around that day. Perhaps he had talked it up a little too much, but it didn't meet the expectations he had set for us. The food was good, but nothing more. The prices were good, but not a great deal. The wait for the food was long, but we'd already come to realize this is average for most places we went to in Bali. Clearly many tourists had heard about this place, as a good handful were there. Overall, just average...
