The restaurant at the Adirama Hotel is probably one of the best located restaurants in Lovina
BTW, the Adirama is in Kaliasem, and not in Singaraja
The 2 places are 13-14 kms apart!
The Adirama is right near the Kaliasem Post Office - about 100 metres west of it

The location is fantastic and the food is really quite OK
The menu is 'wide', that is, there are many choices

You will not be rushed by the wait staff!
In fact, sometimes you need to call them over for something

Yep, it's a great place to go for lunch - the onshore breeze straight off the Bali Sea is just the thing on a hot day
It is right on the beach
If it were any closer to the water you would have sand on your feet

Our 19 night adventure in Bali included 8 destinations and 9 accommodation venues. Adi Rama was by far the most amazing of them all when considering value for money. Our family room was right on the beach and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating to our needs. Loved the atmosphere, the beautiful surrounds, and the story that is the return of this wonderful place to a glory that can only be experienced by staying there. It was like a family atmosphere - an extension of my family - and that was what made it so much more enjoyable. Great pool, lovely service, delicious food, and an amazing room. I will definitely be staying here again should I ever return to Lovina.

Room Tip: Always take the time to have a look first. I was pretty much won by the location...looking inside o...

stayed one night. Lovely hotel premises. Friendly groundsman. Reception very casual and restaurant not overly helpful. Everything seemed like a bit of an effort although only two table dining. Food also a major let down so ventured into town for better dining experience. recommend "Superman Restaurant" a few minutes walk into town. Sunset is definitely worth waking for though. Breakfast also nice. Beds also quite hard so didn't get best sleep but each to their own of coarse!

Room Tip: Definitely Beachfront room with views, absolutely stunning

Only stayed for one night but worth more. Booked on Bookings, the price was economical. The room has very high roof and large room looks very traditional and pretty. Just some religious pictures on the wall may scare you a bit but still show beauty to me. Guests can call boat just to come to hotel's beach, convenient riding to see dolphins and snorkel. Beach view restaurant is a treat. Only shortcoming is that, they should maintain their room facilities in better condition.

Room Tip: Room is too big for a small air-co to work well.

Planned on staying for one night and ended up staying four. Had a great time and will definitely be going back. We lucked out and got there on a night when they had Balinese dancers and the staff played live music. The live music was really good and I asked Apol and Micky if they were going to play the next night and they played in front of our room for us. Later Apol took us to the local music place Kantine 21, this place is not to be missed if you love good live music and great bar atmosphere. Best place we stayed in Bali.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the beach have nice outdoor seating and an amazing view.

Although located at a sandy beach, the beach is not really suitable for lying/sun tanning. There's lots of (natural) trash on the beach and with high tide the water almost reaches the wall/entrance of the resort.

That being said, the pool is very nice and big. The beds at the pool are okay. However if the resort is fully booked, I doubt there are enough beds for everyone.

The rooms are nice and spacey. This also counts for the bathroom. The room has a safe, TV and airco. Beds are okay. The rooms do not have mosquito nets, which is a big miss. The more because the resort's garden has a few small ponds and mosquitoes are many. Make sure you have anti mosquito stuff, or else buy it across the street (few 100 meters down the road).

The resort's garden is very nice and we spotted a lot of nice birds and beautiful insects (like butterflies, grasshoppers, etc). But there are also some cats lingering around and once they were fighting at night.

The massage/spa is average, the offered types of massages are less in comparison to another resort we stayed at (is not necessarily a bad thing).

Very annoying thing: Wifi is reasonably fast, but very unstable (hotspot badly located?). You also have to re-login every 5 minutes or so. Very annoying!

Restaurant is nicely situated at the beach and it is very relaxed, when having breakfast in the morning. Quality of the food is okay, and some local dishes are quite good.

The resort's staff is very customer friendly and really try to make your stay a good experience.
They value their guests.

Ordering (day) trips at the resort is very expensive (around twice the price, or more).
We ordered the long trekking day trip to the 7 waterfalls and the early morning dolphin viewing trip. If you book trips, make sure you repeat/confirm all the includes/excludes of the ordered package to the staff; so it is very clear what is delivered for the money you pay.

In the case of our trekking tour, we understood the long trekking would include a lunch at a restaurant with a nice scenic view. Instead it was delivery of a local lunch box to be eaten on a wooden floor/shed. This was said to be a misunderstanding/language thing, but if we would have know, we would not have paid this high price.
The trekking tour was superb! and really worth doing. Remark: we found it not suitable (as in conflict with the board at the reception) for elderly people or very young people and you also need good walking shoes for rough terrain (resort manager said slippers would do; not safe).
The resort manager also told us, that everything would be taken care of, but nevertheless take some fruit bars or some food which boosts your energy; you'll need it. The trekking goes over paved ways in the rice fields (don't forget to take sun block), but also over steep rocky unpaved trails, where you'll need help of your friends/guides to climb up/down. If it rained the night before (in our case): expect to have to wade through water streams and walk over muddy trails. Even when this is the case: It is worth it!!! You'll see some of the best preserved parts of Bali and swimming at a waterfall site is an awesome experience! If we weren't misinformed, we would have chosen the medium trekking tour, instead of the long trekking.
The mentioned secret garden is the area of some of the waterfalls, so not separate. Therefore package is nearly the same. And in the end we skipped some waterfalls, because we were to tired anyway.

Dolphin tour is also nice, but is a large tourist attraction. When we boated to the area, there were already like 50 boats of other resorts (low season). When a group of dolphins was spotted a true boat race started. The dolphins surface to catch their breath and then dive away for 2/3 min before they resurface, so in the beginning we were hesitating whether we would actually be able to make some close-up pictures of these magnificent animals. But when the dolphin groups split up, so did the boats and we made some nice pictures of a few groups of jumping dolphins, with only 2/3 other boats around. If you've never encountered dolphins in the wild before, this trip is nice to do.

Summary:
Resort setup is very nice. Garden is nice. Beach is not suitable for sun tanning. Pool is very nice.
Restaurant is very nicely situated. food quality is okay. Rooms are nice and spacey, but no mosquito nets. Wifi is fast, but constantly re-login is very annoying (I hope they do something about it). Day Trips at the resort are very expensive. Advice: shop for this outside the resort or ask some of the other guests. If ordering trips at the resort, confirm the content of the package.

If we go back to Lovina, we will stay in this resort again.

Stayed at this hotel for several nights in January 2014. It is in a lovely location overlooking the beach. Beautiful pool and nice little restaurant. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
My only complaint was in the days we were there we were unable to secure
a pool lounger at any time despite the fact that both my husband and I have had hip and knee replacements. The pool loungers were covered with towels from early in the morning to evening despite the fact that often no-one was occupying them all. We were forced to sit on hard chairs in the restaurant.
When I mentioned this fact with one of the staff, I was told that the guests, who are nearly all Dutch return to the hotel annually. In other words they were loathe to offend them. I personally saw one Dutch woman who had three at one time. She moved around them depending on where the sun and shade were at the time. This is quite mean spirited. The hotel management needs to set rules to allow for a fairer distribution and to police the situation.
