Stayed at this hotel for several nights in January 2014. It is in a lovely location overlooking the beach. Beautiful pool and nice little restaurant. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
My only complaint was in the days we were there we were unable to secure
a pool lounger at any time despite the fact that both my husband and I have had hip and knee replacements. The pool loungers were covered with towels from early in the morning to evening despite the fact that often no-one was occupying them all. We were forced to sit on hard chairs in the restaurant.
When I mentioned this fact with one of the staff, I was told that the guests, who are nearly all Dutch return to the hotel annually. In other words they were loathe to offend them. I personally saw one Dutch woman who had three at one time. She moved around them depending on where the sun and shade were at the time. This is quite mean spirited. The hotel management needs to set rules to allow for a fairer distribution and to police the situation.

Stayed one night Saturday 4th Jan 2014. had read the reviews left by others and chose this hotel. On the main street with parking at front and the hotel reaches back to the beach. Its not a large hotel. More quiet and intimate. Rooms are OK, clean and tidy, adequate. There is a pool with loungers around. Free Wifi is available. Not much nearby to do see or walk to find bars/restaurants so you may need to have transport.
I'm surprised other reviewers didn't say more about the restaurant. This is at the rear of the Hotel and overlooks the beach. Its a lovely place to sit at any time of the day to take tea, coffee early evening drinks, watch the sea and the view and we also enjoyed a good evening meal here. The food and service are good, prices acceptable and a very nice place to eat.
You can arrange a boat trip to see the Dolphins from the beach sellers that hover on the beach.
by the restaurant. by modern standards the rooms are a little small and would benefit from modernisation but this was reflected in the price.

We stayed in the suite with seasight, the perfect setting to wake up every morning. The room was cleaned every day and everything was still very 'Bali'. The staff is dedicated and they do everything they can to make you happy. Good WiFi avaible everywhere in the hotel. The menu has something for everyone; Mexican, Italian, Indonesion etc. Quality of the food was good.

The hotel offers a lot of activities which are great. Dolphin spotting is not so special as you are on the water with 100 other boats. Snorkling trip was really awesome. Climbing the mount Batur (vulcano) is just for the persons in a good condition an requires real Climbing, but worth the money.

And the best morning of my life was the short trekking to 4 waterfalls, we could slide and jump from the waterfalls, swim in the pools, and nobody but the guide and we were there, it was so perfect!!

Stayed here the better part of a week. Great staff and fine economical hotel. We had rooms upgraded as pool was under renovation and rooms upstairs and downstairs are all well cared for and spacious. And the pool renovations were completed in record time and was in use before we departed. Food is a bit more expensive than local eateries but of excellent quality, in fact we went fishing and the cook cleaned and prepared the fish in such a mouth watering manner - never had such tasty fish - ever, and I mean it. Snorkelling along the coral reef is only a hop skip and a swim away - but watch out for prickly, spiney critters - sea urchins - in the water. The reef abounds with creatures and if you look carefully so do the weedy/grassy sites. Scooters, life jackets, masks and fins, all can be acquired by the staff - very happy and helpful. The site has it's own Spa - a bit expensive but a qualified masseuse will satisfy your wish for a good massage. There are numerous other parlours around as well and cheaper - but maybe not as good. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, specially those with a balcony view of the pool. Only issue was the shower in the upstairs, the hose was a bit short but hey, bend at the knees and shower - no big deal. Downstairs are full stand up showers. Anyway, well recommended and a most reasonable price and a good location from which to access the North Shore of Bali.

We had a great time here! The people are very, very friendly and the food is excellent!!! Our room was clean and very comfortable. The overall quality of the hotel is very good and it is not expensive. The free Wifi works very good, especially compared with other places in Bali. They just renewed the pool which was beautiful! I would really recommend this hotel to other people !

I don't wanna spend too much time on this comment, I paid $50 for a night, bathroom was really rundown and dirty looking which I very much disliked. The only plus side is their free wifi, very high speed access compared to a lot of the places in Bali.

Just a side note, pool is under renovation as of now.

My wife, six month old daughter and I stayed at Rama Beach for 7 days recently during what was my first trip to Bali. The bottom line? I would stay there again.

Staff friendliness and quality of service were excellent. We couldn't have expected better from all those we interacted with. It must be said that Indonesians LOVE babies, so having a 6 month old with us probably made a fair difference however I still believe the people at Rama Beach are a quality group of people.

As far as facilities go, we had a deluxe suite which was quite nice. There were a couple of small things I didn't quite like (air-conditioner had a small vibration in it sometimes & there was a hair in the bed when we arrived) but overall, it was quite good. One recommendation is to get a room on the lower level as it will stay cool even when the air-conditioner is off when you are out of your room. Also, if you have a child in a pram, there are no ramps at the hotel so you will end up lifting the pram a lot.

Overall, I give the hotel 7/10.
