“What a nice surprise”
Reviewed July 28, 2014 via mobile

Just strolling past, the staffed yelled out to us that the seafood is all fresh. We took a look at the menu and were pleasantly surprised. It says Greek, it was a nice mix of pasta dishes pizza and Indonesian food. My husband had the Greek salad that was well presented very fresh and tasty, no complaints there. I tried the chicken penne, it was delicious. Shame we are leaving in the morning I would definitely go back. Good job.

“Not as it was before....”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

Before the food was better and a bit bigger portions. Changed the menu into Greek, which wasn't the best choice.

“Very average”
Reviewed January 31, 2014 via mobile

We ate here our first night in Lovina Beach.

Both ordered local Indonesian dishes, really was nothing to write home about. Food was ok, service was fine.

Setting is not that special, very loud from the nearby road.

Quick meal that tasted fine, certainly didn't want to stay there all evening though

“Very bad experience...”
Reviewed January 31, 2014

I have lived in Indonesia for 6 years, and this was one of the worst overall experiences I have had at a restaurant, rumah makan or warung! From the service to the food...it was all bad.

Service...we first called the number on Trip Advisor to find out where it was located. No one picked up. We ended up finding it on our own, but then we arrived at Kemiri the number that we called replied with an SMS asking in Indonesia, "Who is this?" It was obviously the HP number of one of the staff, and they do not answer numbers they don't recognize.
Then, when we got to the restaurant, the sole waiter was talking with a friend (who was not eating) and took a while to come over to us. We had kids smaller children with us, and the waiter seemed to be visibly annoyed at the children. It's important to note that we were the ONLY customers at that time, so it was strange that the waiter seemed annoyed.
At the end of the meal, the waiter came over and took one of our tables away saying he needed it for other guests...there were no other guests. He not only took the table but tried to take one of our kids' chairs out from under her until we looked at him with this look of, "What are you doing?" After this, we immediately asked for the bill before we had even finished our food. Upon leaving, the waiter did not even say anything. For those who know Indonesians, this is a very uncommon thing. Horrible service.

Food...We got a couple of starters. They were the smallest starters ever! It was ridiculous. Then the flat bread for one of the starters was very stale. We didn't even finish the bread. The sauce was fine, but lots of garlic. Then the meals came. Much of our food was very obviously reheated (not fresh at all). It was okay. The salads were tiny.

The worst part of all was upon going back to our villa, one of us got sick and threw up. The rest of us have very strong tastes in our mouth from the poorly seasoned food. Lovina doesn't have great food options, but Kemiri is not worth trying.
