This beach side hotel is great for enjoying your holiday in permuteran. Staff is very friendly and the hotel has a special function as shelter for young turtles. We stayed at a bungalow with a nice bed and mosquito net. The outdoor bathroom is a pleasure. It's a experience that you have no where else. The breakfast is decent and its served with delicious fresh fruits. They offer snorkeling and diving trips and for the not swimmers you can do a hike in the mangrove.

My wife and I stayed at ReefSeen for 5 nights.
It was a very pleasant stay, and I will not hesitate to recommend divers, snorkelers and sea-lovers to go there!
Reef Seen is primarily an experienced and, to my best believe, well administrated and highly competent dive center, who also offers really descent accommodation. Rooms are small but with a large ceiling height, so they seem more spacious, and the poster bed makes sleeping very cozy. The room we stayed in had a large, semi outdoor bathroom with nice stone tiles. There are two types of rooms as described on the ReefSeen website. I think it´s worth mentioning that they all have a nice garden view from the verandas, but that the rooms with sea view are not located at the beach front, but has the garden in between the veranda and the sea. The rooms and place as a whole is clean and well maintained.
Diving and snorkeling is great in the area around Permuteran and Reef Seen offers several daily boat trips to nice dive sites in the area. Especially the nearby Menjangan Island has great diving and snorkeling, but the more local reefs are very interesting as well, and I shall not forget to mention the house reef, which also offers beautiful experiences.
ReefSeen has a strong and genuine environmental nerve, which applies to both reef preservation and regeneration (there is even a sea turtle hatchery on site), but also to the dive centers integration, acting and support to local community. For that I think ReefSeen deserves real thumbs up!
We had great and friendly service from everybody at ReefSeen. The people there has great humor (yes I know that is relative :-) and were very positive.
ReefSeen is great value for money and very recommendable!

We stayed here in Octobre 2012. Tthe rooms were basic and a bit on the dark side, but the reason tos tay here is for the diving or the snorkeling. We went out to the nearby Menjangan Island for a snorkeling trip. It was our first time snorkeling and it was amazing. The people were very friendly and helpful!

The rooms here are very plain and basic. AC works well, beds are comfy, ventilation is pretty poor. Staff very nice. More comfy digs nearby. But...Diving on Menjangan Island is best I have ever seen anywhere, w/ huge and wonderful schools of fish and beautiful coral. Dive boat is not fancy, has a head, is covered, slow, but gets you there. Staff very helpful. Near shore snorkeling is wonderful. Plastic beach trash (not in front of most resorts) and in ocean is very upsetting. Beautiful sunrises here.

A great place to stay if you want some top notch service, location and diving! The staff are superb and really make your stay pleasant.
The rooms are simple but tidy and you have everything you need.
The location right on the beach makes it perfect if you want to snorkel, swim or just catch some sun on the beach.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had the best time of our holiday.

The diving was exquisite and the instructors were friendly and supportive to a novice. Also, they were flexible to our needs and ideas. They really made the whole thing an experience. It truly was like Finding Nemo without the talking!

The bar area was very relaxed and breakfast was simple and tasty. The other snacks on offer were tasty too. Our only room for improvement was that we thought the bar may have been open later (closed at nine). However, there are many other hotels right nearby (easily walked down the beach) which can provide you with fancy dinners and cocktails. Reef Seen give you a very helpful map to aid you here. And anyway, when you're diving, drinking late into the night is the last thing on your mind!

The room was very clean and airconditioned. The outdoor bathrooms were a great touch and you can shower with a rainbow!

The turtle sanctuary at Reef Seen is also great to visit. Staff are informative and it makes for a special addition to your stay.

Overall, this was our favourite part of our trip to Bali. The diving and instructors were perfect, the rooms are exactly what we wanted, the area is relaxed and quiet and the turtle sanctuary adds an unexpected twist to your stay in a dive resort!

My husband and I stayed at the Reef Seen Divers' Resort for 6 days/5 nights. While we were there, we completed our PADI open water diving certification with Adrian and Amanda, and then spent a day doing "fun dives" at Pulau Menjangan. Wayan and Tony were our guides for the fun dives.

We could not have had a better experience, and we whole-heartedly recommend Reef Seen Divers' Resort to anyone looking for a safe, high quality diving experience with extremely well-qualified and knowledgeable staff.

The accommodation itself is a bit "blah" by Bali standards, but we found it to be just what we needed while we were there. Since we were there to study and obtain our diving qualification, a fancy resort experience would have been wasted on us. We stayed in Room #1, which was lovely. Everything worked - A/C, hot water, mosquito netting - and we were absolutely comfortable in the room. The price was fair for the room, and we enjoyed the enclosed outdoor shower as well.

The food at the snack bar is also a bit "blah," but it gets the job done in between dives. Reef Seen staff provide guests with a list of local restaurants that includes a map as well, and there are plenty of other dining choices within walking distance. We enjoyed several nice, quiet and delicious dinners at the resort next door (the snack bar is closed for dinner). The snack bar is, however, a fantastic place for beer and peanuts after a day of diving. It's even better if the beer and peanuts are with your instructors and guides!

That's that for the logistics. What really makes this place shine is the people.

Amanda and Adrian, the Reef Seen dive instructors, are really professional. Amanda may come off as brusque when you first meet her, but she has a heart of gold and she will help you learn. Adrian is more laid back on the surface, but he is also an outstanding instructor. Both Amanda and Adrian went above and beyond the call of duty to help me and my husband master the skills required for our PADI open water diver certification. In fact, Amanda took us on an extra dive one day so that we would be able to finish our certification and enjoy a day of diving at Pulau Menjangan. She was not obligated to do this - she volunteered to help us, and we really appreciate that.

The local dive guides are also wonderful. Wayan is an old pro, with over 2000 dives under his belt. Our guide at Pulau Menjangan, Tony, is a younger diver, but very competent and caring. All the local dive guides are PADI certified rescue divers, and we felt completely confident in their hands.

Overall, Reef Seen is a great place that meets high technical standards for diving. This is a committed group of people, and Reef Seen has been in Pemuteran for 20+ years. You can trust them. We're glad that we did. We had an amazing experience, we felt very close to the staff and to our fellow divers while we were there, and we had tears in our eyes when we left. Now *that* is a great dive vacation! We know we will go back...

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 1, and this has a king bed, a/c and hot water. Basic, but very comfortable.
