It's the second time I've stayed here with my Balinese family. We stayed for 3 nights in adjacent bungalows. The rooms are basic but have everything you need, the bed was comfy & I slept really well. The bathroom was OK & the airconditioning worked fine. Breakfast's in with the tariff, it's adequate but extras may be ordered if you wish to pay extra. The staff are very friendly & we were fortunate to be there when the bull races were held in the nearby village of Kaliasem, it had been 7 years since they last held them & from now on they will be held annually. It was a wonderful experience held on the village oval. There were 18 pairs of bulls, all dressed in fancy headgear with bells tied round their legs. It was a day of fun for the locals, the bulls were treated with great respect, 6 races with lots of encouragement from the crowd. There was also Balinese dancing & a demonstration by the local women of how they used to grind the rice into flour; no need for Weight Watchers here!! All in all a memorable day, free too. I was taken to some local cafes for delicious food, one in Singaraja is a mechanic's workshop during the day & an eatery at night, again delicious food, the Hardy's supermarket was nearby.

Room Tip: Our bungalows were near to the pool which was very pleasant. It was only a two minute walk to the be...

We stayed here for two nights as part of an Intrepid tour. The rooms and bathroom are not very clean, the bathroom especially, the shower is pretty awful. The rooms themselves are set out as bungalows with a small balcony at the front. The pool area is ok and quite pleasant to sit around. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant which was basic eggs or banana pancake.

Foodwise there is a fantastic Thai restaurant round the corner from the hotel on the way into the town and also a great vegetarian cafe on the same road. There is also a very nice bar called Sea Breeze on the beach front close to hotel, an excellent spot to have a drink and watch the sunset.

The only reason to stay here would be to go snorkling on the nearby island and dolphin watching.

Hotel was a good place to spend a couple of nights near the beach. Staying here as part of an Intrepid trip. Rooms were bungalows set near the pool and were nicely fitted out. Pool was really nice and had a bar area to the side.

Have stayed here on 3 occasions & love pool, rooms are a little dated but AC worked & price is fair. Close to beach ,warungs, shopping, night clubs, just love the pool, breakfast is a standard included in price so if you want an American style go to a restaurant . Staff is friendly & as it was off season was able to negotiate a discount.

Room Tip: Get room near pool

We were conned by our taxi driver and ended up there. It was my birthday and staying there depressed me beyond imagination. The room was dirty, rats noise in the attic, pool area deserted and breakfast appalling. The worst birthday night ever!

This is our preferred hotel in the area and is conveniently located near the main streets. The staff are attentive and never once have hassled us. The breakfast is a little laughable as they charge extra for milk with you coffee. The rooms are clean but the bathrooms could do with updating. The same can be said for most hotels in this price bracket. The hotel is usually really quiet but unfortunately our holiday this year overlapped with Eid when domestic tourists descend on Lovina. The pool was full of screaming badly behaved children and we were woken up by a family at five a.m. one morning. We would definitely stay again but will check dates to make sure we do not coincide with the domestic season.

Room Tip: Rooms 36 and 35 are semidetached chef bungalows - ask for a quiet room. There is building work next...
