My husband and 4 year old daughter have just returned from Club Med Nusa Dua, this was our first time staying at a Club Med resort and we absolutely loved it. We stayed in a garden view room which was spectacular, this was well worth staying in rather than one of the standard rooms. The swimming pool was a little disappointing regarding the depth but was quite refreshing on most days.We ate at the buffet restaurant most nights and this was very good but after a few nights, there tends to be the same foods on offer. To be honest we expected the buffet to include more indonesian food. The chef at breakfast cooking the eggs had the most wonderful smile and was always happy to please. We also ate at the al a carte restaurant on our daughters 4th birthday and it was spectacular, the staff were wonderful and made her birthday one to remember, they decorated the table, all sang to her and brought her a birthday cake with candles on it. She was amazed. The nightly show which starts at 9.15pm every night was excellent, we loved how the GO's got all the kids involved. All the staff work extremely hard all day and then put on the performance at night for the guests. After the show all guests are encouraged to head to the main pool bar where there is more entertainment.
All inclusive was definately as it states, we were not disappointed with any of the selections available.
All in all the resort and it's inclusions was well worth the money, we would not hesitate to return to Club Med Nusa Dua. I think we may actually be hooked it was that good.In fact our daughter did not want to leave and I think that says alot!

Room Tip: Garden view ground floor, fourth wing is far enought away from the nightly entertainment at the pool...

Firstly let me start by saying the Club Med Bali has everything anyone will ever need on holiday,
Our family group of 14 consisted of ages from 3yrs to 72yrs so we had chosen the all inclusive package to accomodate all ages and tastes, On arrival in Bali we were met by the driver of the Club med bus and taken on our 25 minute trip along busy, but interesting roads , south east to the resort of Nusa Dua, traditionally a balinese village now housing many 5 star luxury hotels and resorts, On arrival at Club Med we were met by traditionally dressed dancers and the inhouse entertainers the GO,s, They are the ever smiling, helpful, friendly, non stop party people from all corners of the globe,I think i met GO,s from 20 countries.
The hotel itself is now rather dated in comparison to the majority of hotels in Nusa Dua and the neighbouring Tanjung Benoa, The Rooms all accessable from a central covered walkway are situated on 4 floors and are very, very clean and made up to an immaculate standard every day, Again the rooms are not the most modern, and the bathrooms are small and dated, but clean, Towels are changed ever day if required. We arrived around midday and made our way after checking in to the first floor Buffet, it has a lift for wheelchair access, A friendly face greeted us and escorted us to large round table with comfortable chairs,The whole family were astonished by the array of magazine cover prepared foods from Indonesia, China, and Europe, the choice of salads, meats, fish, pastas, breads was astonishing, even the kids who are very fussy eaters, were happy with the more british flavour, sausages, burgers, chips, etc, but it was nice to see them tucking in for a change, The sweet and cakes section are incredible as is the ice cream stand, The meals are all self service buffet style as is the drinks, soft drinks, beer on tap and local wine on demand served by the ever helpful smiling waiting staff,All the foods were superbly presented and there was never a chance of running out of anything, The head chef was always onhand to suggest the dish of the day and share a polite helpful word, There is also a section for couples and those who prefer a quieter place to eat, this section is for adults only, On the whole the food is excellent both in variety and quantity, the restaurant has many areas depending on what you require, inside, outside, air conditioned or not the restaurant is always spotless and any little mishap spills are dealt with in a blink of an eye. the wait staff clear plates constantly giving a very efficient turnover of patrons in the restaurant which can get busy at times when the hotel is full, up to 1000 guests, we never had more than 300 guests during our stay but we heard queues are likely, The smaller restaurant opens at 3pm and 7pm offers menu type a la carte meals, booking is essential as it only caters for 100 people, We ate there only once and we all agreed the Buffet was better, but it did make an interesting change, The large rectangular swimming pool is centrally located and is the hub of all entertainment, it is only 1.50mts deep at its centre and is very safe for most children, the kids pool is joined and seperated by a low chrome fence and is a very safe 54cms deep but large enough to keep even the very young happy all day.
The pool is used every day for Water Polo, Aqua Aerobics etc every day and those who want to join in can, the pool also has a life guard and is one of the only 24hour outside pools in the world, however from 8pm there is No lifeguard. The Large central bar is open till midnight supplies all types of drinks both alcoholic and non also hot drinks with snacks served around 6pm every evening, there is a smaller beach bar situated some 10mts from the beach and supplies those who chose the quieter beach beds and round day beds all set in immaculate gardens with an abundance of palm trees giving a very shaded feel, there are also sun beds directly on the beach, which is raked every day and kept clean by an army of gardeners and cleaners, The beach has white sands and the man made breakers ensure a pleasent refreshing dip in the crystal clear indonesian sea, The low tide every day means you have to check the tide timetable to ensure the best time to swim, Water sports are offered daily, Kayak and windsurf, Motorised water sports are offered at an aditional charge either from the hotel or the abundant pr,s offering jet ski hire about 40USD for 30mins,
The hotel has a 6 hole golf course more pitch n put but i dare anyone to get a par with it,s tricky designed bunkers and trees, It is superbly well maintained and the greens are better than some golf courses costing hundreds of dollars, The gardeners clear fallen leaves every day, there is driving nets and a chipping green by the club house situated by the 10 tennis courts all in superb condition and manned by expert GO,s who offer helpful tips and advice, and supplying golf clubs, tennis equipment including badminton and squash played in their respective courts all within 30mts of the club house, all courts and equipment are in great condition.
The Kids club caters for the little ones and keeps them busy from dawn till dusk with a dazzling array of handy crafts, there is also a small pool at the Kids centre for splashing time,
Situated next to the tennis is the Spa and Quiet pool for adults only where couples and those wanting a kid free holiday can relax, a roman style pool is bordered by large day beds and a large jacuzzi is available, The bar also offers a large selection of drinks, there is a steam room and sauna in both the womens and mens dressing rooms, this is a whisper zone,
Leaving the spa there is a putting green and football pitch where soccer is played every day at 5pm, Again all organised by the Club med GO,s who apart from having an incredible enthusiasm are well educated, polite and well conversed in Club med policy and promotions.
Pierre who was the assistant manager kept proceedings well oiled with his team of entertainers he shared the compere duties with the Korean and japanese GO,s, As French and English were the prominent languages, The in house shows all performed by the GO,s were highly polished and entertaining using a colourful array of costumes and all aided by the incredible stage LED backdrop, the sound and lighting was also very good , well done tech staff,,the shows are all done in the main theatre and the after party done in the main bar till the early hours, early evening a couple of times a week live music is played. Friday,s there is a cultural balanese show in the outside ampitheatre and a souvenir market where locals sell their wares, the Club med shop also offers a good range of souvenir clothing. The inhouse photographer is always around catching all those holiday memories and are available to download at a small cost, To sum up the Food, Entertainment, Facilities are all superb i feel this all far out weighs the age of the rooms, The GO,s do a fantastic job, Thanks to Sam, Allyn, Jessica, and Made from the golf course, And all the reception staff.Everyone was great with the kids and adults alike, It is the sort of place where you can join in everything, something, or just do your own thing, All my family group had a brilliant time and would recommend Club med to their friends, Allthough Club Med is more expensive than other All inclusive hotels and don,t expect 6 star top end hotel comfort but it does offer a glittering array of great facilities for an unforgettable holiday,

Room Tip: Adjoining rooms are great for families.

Our trip this time to Bali was outstanding and very memorable. A huge thanks to Sam, the ladies loved her fitness classes. Thankyou for making us feel welcome and sharing some good laughs with our family. Alyn made my boys laugh when i called upon him because they thought he was security. Pierre Jean had so much energy and everynight from our group i was the last man standing when the music kicked on. Overall brilliant and we will be back !!

If you like to get involved (and don't mind others trying to get you involved) GOs certainly know how to get you out of your comfort zone. Club Med is a little something more than a rejuvenating resort. Many sports (land and water) with helpful and kind GOs to help instruct on advancing your skills; always so much to get involved in.
And if you're just looking for sunny weather, pool and cocktail with amazing views over the ocean, then look no further. Memorable family holiday.
Particularly friendly GO - Chelsea, made the night life t-otes a-ma-zing!

Balifest 2013 has been amazing! Food unreal, love the FULL service - thanks to Sam, Chelsea, Lucy, Bobby and the french voice over (Pierre Jean). Great range of fun activities including Archery, boat trip and trapeze. There are different shows every night and themed evenings. 30 mins from Kuta (metered cab 80,000 IDR). Some criticisms would be that there is no adults only area after hours (children running free in bar area late into the night) , the after show 'dance parties' very repetitive and too structured, and no smoke free zones. We found the pool to be very warm in the afternoon. On the whole an enjoyable visit and would recommend this as a family friendly destination.

My husband and I were last at Club Med Bali in Sept of 2011 and felt that this property would be a great place to celebrate our 50th birthdays and we were not wrong.
Since our last stay, the Chef de Village had changed, along with many of the other GO's who we knew. The present Chef deVillage Jean-Benoit (JB) has added an extra energy level to the resort, which we enjoyed. JB along with many other staff members went out of their way to make us certain that our whole group were enjoying ourselves. There were 25 of us and we ranged from 18 y.o. up to 71y.o. and all of us managed to have a wonderful time; one my husband and I will fondly remember forever.
We found the range and quality of the food to be just as good as our previous stay. We had one member of our group that has huge dietry requirements and the restaurant staff were excellent in accomodating her needs.
The gardens and facilities on offer here are fabulous, very well maintained and the sunlounges are placed strategically as not to be on top of others.
The rooms are very basic but are clean and comfortable. However, the lighting must be improved. It would be great if a magnified make-up mirror was available in the bathroom, as well as some bright reading lights placed above the bedding.
Another area that could improve is reception, the local Balinese staff try their hardest to help the guests but struggle sometimes with understanding them. For example, we had one group who had a flight schedule change even before leaving Australia but the resort had the flight leaving at the original time (2 hours later). Only through persists that we managed to have transport organised to leave earlier or they would have missed their flight. *Note reconfirm your flight directly via the web and not via club med departure board.
Overall, we had the best time and look forward to returning in the near future.
A big thank you to Jeff (had a wonderful time doing water aerobics and artchery), Oky for the golf, Chelsea for flirting with my father (LOL) and just being friendly, Gid - for arranging our birthday dinner (great to see you again - cowboy!), all of the other GO's who made us feel welcome and tried to teach us to dance or allowed us to dance as we knew how.
Once again, thank you JB (really appreciated all your hard work and gifts that we received) and oh we better not forget to say thank you to Pierre.
Can not wait to return.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor corner room and was very happy with this room. Last time we had a balcony but...

A long overdue review. My husband and I spent a week in Club Med Bali. The accomodation was great (neat; clean and comfy). The food was excellent! The buffet offered loads of variety; a number of fresh and healthy options; great quality food and delicious flavours. The cocktail menu was quite impressive and the parties @ the resort were AWESOME! Hardly a need to venture out as there are a host of activites to choose from within the resort for both adults and kids (e.g. archery; golf; trapese etc...) You can take a short walk along the coastline to neighbouring resorts; restaurants; watersports; boat trips and parasailing. The Bali collections market is within walking distance from the resort. The resort is spacious and beatiful and has well manicured gardens. The staff were extraordinary! Always extremely friendly and hospitable and made the resort a FUN; vibrant and awesome place to be in! Will definitely return! Our first club med experience and definitely not our last!
