“Quaint Place”

We booked this hotel on recommendation on Trip Advisor. We were on a budget looking for a boutique esq. place to stay for one night. We ordered a taxi from the airport, but the taxi driver was confused as to where the hotel was.. I have to say, this does happen occasionally in the UK! Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely hotel owner who was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel grounds and pool were lovely and very peaceful. The only let down for me was the room. We were on the first floor around the back/side of the hotel, and the room was quite dark. There was also a slight damp smell in the room.

After lazing around the pool all afternoon, we booked a taxi from the hotel and headed to Jimbaran Beach (About 10/15 mins away). We had an amazing meal on the beach at Teba Mega Cafe whilst watching the sun set. The food was incredible, we easily polished off the bbq seafood platter! Highly recommend.

Overall if you are looking for a boutique hotel on a budget with great service and great breakfast, I recommend Ellie's Hotel!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front of the hotel and not at the side/back.

our second time to Ellies and they didn't disappoint..we didn't want to leave.Genuine service from their lovely staff.Great value. The staff organise taxis when you need them & there's no need to hire a car or scooter unless you want to drive in Bali..I was very happy to be a passenger!Gin,who picked us up from the airport and brought us to Ubud and back with lots of interesting stops along the way,is a gentleman..if you want a driver for a day you will feel completely looked after by this man. Hope to be back before long:)

Room Tip: rom 105 on middle floor was perfect overlooking sea and pool aspect

Lovely little place totally refreshing from the big resort hotels. Very laid back vibe. There was a mess up in booking our room giving us a double instead of a twin but this was rectified by giving me another whole room totally free. Super friendly staff and brilliant local recommendations.

Ellie's is a great place to stay in Nusa Dua. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Have been many times to Bali and this is the only place that makes staying in a unfamiliar place feel like home. Dave Godden, the manager is great. He will organise just about anything you need as a traveller - SIM cards, scooters and cars, taxis, laundry, and restuarants. It may be a small and slightly off the main drag, but it makes a really good base especially if you are travevelling with a group or large family.

My wife and I went to Bali as part of our honeymoon trip to Southeast Asia. We are from Argentina so imagine the importance of this trip for us, specially the long flights we had to take!

We chose Ellie's hotel based on TripAdvisor great reviews and comments, and they all proved to be right! The place is a nice and typical Balinese house adapted to a small hotel ("posada, hosteria" in spanish). It preserves the local style, and it is located far from the busy touristic areas. This is good specially if you want to see and feel the real Balinese way.
But as most of reviewers have already mentioned: the service is outstanding. Each of the staff members are at your convenience. But not in an "sticky" way, they are just available for whatever you need: a taxi, a trip-ride, dinner, lunch, etc. Even though they do not serve dinner nor lunch, they always have different nearby places to order. They will place the order for you and then prepare the table for you next to the pool!
We really loved Ellie's, we would certainly come back again if we ever go back to Bali!
We always remember April, who was very helpful and made our stay very pleasant.

Room Tip: If you carry heavy luggage then try to book a room in the lower floors, to avoid climbing stairs.

I stayed at Ellie's for 3 weeks and by the end i did not want to leave! The staff were very friendly and helpful, it was like living with family. Amazing healthy breakfast in the morning and nice and quiet days by the pool made Ellie's a great place too stay. Pool area, dining area and bed rooms were very clean and we were given fresh clean towels every morning.i would recommend Ellie's for single travelers, couples or even families.
