A totally incredible experience checking in. Staff very welcoming and friendly and the hotel looks very impressive. My room was beautifully furnished and the Japanese toilet was in a league of it's own, I had a bit of a shock when the toilet lid lifted of it's own accord.
Down side was when I sat out on the massive balcony and found I was facing a concrete wall and the service road. I imagine rooms facing the sea would be totally spectacular!
My other gripe was mobile phone coverage was poor to non existent. I had a family emergency and needed to make a number of calls and was unable to use my mobile in my bedroom. A 17 minute international call from the room cost me 664,000 IDR.. I knew hotel phones were ridiculously expensive, but it annoyed me more because outside the hotel the mobile coverage was perfect.

Room Tip: chose a sea view to make the most of the splendour!

This was one of the safest resort that we have visited in my entire life. There were security guards everywhere in the compound looking out for any non-guests that may enter the resort area via the beach. The LifeGuard stationed on the beach was also very alert, always on the binoculars looking out over the shore area for anyone one on distress.
The Kidz Mulia Club was also a fantastic place to leave your kids for a full day of activities. Face painting, Bali dress up and dance class, Necklace making, Flower arrangements, Traditional games, etc... it has 4 - 5 full time staffs inside the area and has a built in toilet so kids don't have to exit the club. They also serve Lunch and Tea within the club area. Absolutely 100% safe, thanks to Gratha, Ayu, Nardin & Rocky, they really made us feel safe leaving our kids with them. We have never left our kids in any hotel kids clubs before except for Mulia Resort. Caitlyn and Cruz didn't wanna leave the resort. Food was fantastic in The Cafe, Buffet Breakfast and Lunch had the most variety i have ever seen. We also had a chance to have a few meals in Soleil which was located next to the beach. Also great food and ambiance and our server was Cindy, great attention to details, great service which was very important for a family of 2 adults and 2 young kids.

Room Tip: All the rooms have great beds, best is to try to get a room facing the sea. Some rooms have the show...

We were staying in hotel at Jimbaran and decided to take drive up to Nusa Dua to survey some resorts for our upcoming wedding next year. We arrive through a tightly gated security only to be welcomed by smiles by the security officers. We parked our vehicle by valet and walked up to a beautiful lobby facing the Pacific Ocean. We were welcomed by the friendly guest officers and soon introduced to Donna, the Asst Director of Catering who then took us on a tour of the property. We were overwhelmed by her profesionalism and effort to walk us through the blistering heat of Bali. We were shown some fantastic rooms that were made up for guest arriving that afternoon. There were friendly smiles throughout the walk from the chamber maids, engineering team to the bell team. We were showed the chapel that faced the ocean that took over breath away. Donna came back to us almost immediately with the quotation and we are on the verge of securing the venue for our once in a lifetime experience. Thank you Donna and thank you Mulia.

We stayed 5 nights at the new Mulia in Nusa Dua and are still overwhelmed. The whole ressort is impressive: great architecture, lounges everywhere, so many different pools, great food at various restaurants - but the best we thought was the service and the cleanliness.

Staff at the Mulia was always smiling, friendly and here to help (the Balinese people in general are already friendly people but at the Mulia they even beat that high level of friendliness)

Our kids loved the Kids club (with playground but also PS3 and Wii stations) which also organised special events such as Balinese dressing and dancing at the Kids' splash pool area. The staff at the kids club was very professional and patient.

The breakfast buffet was simply unbelievable. From Asian (Sushi and Dim Sum) to Western food.. It was all there.

Hotel room was very spacious, had a huge TV screen, and featured an automatic toilet - and got cleaned twice a day!

Never before I have ever seen such a huge gym at any ressort. It features the latest cardio and many weight machines but also lots of free weights.

Only thing we found a bit disappointing maybe was the beach. Was a bit 'stoney' and the water not too clean, but I heard they are already working on putting more sand there (also to avoid that the sea could reach the ressort at high tide)

We will definitely come back again and we recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to relax, enjoy and feel like a king or queen for a couple of days!

My partner, 3 year old and i just spent 8 nights at the Mulia resort,7/7/13 and i can not fault this place at all.
From the moment you drive in and you see the splendour of this place, the total luxury and the amazing service you will be blown away. We have stayed in some amazing hotels around the world but this place takes the cake as the best, it is of the highest class, but also is kid friendly with a great kids club, which has great staff who put on activites for the kids daily, they have heaps of computers and game stations for the older kids, while they go out of their way to play and have fun with the younger kids, there is also a great splash pool in the middle of the complex for the kids, which is out of the way of the adult pools so the adults without kids are not disturbed by kids having fun.
There are 2x large pools up the top of the resort, the kids pool in the middle and a really cool infinety pool with massive swim up bar on the beach, you can sit in the pool or on the beach at this bar.
There are plenty of life guards on duty at all pools and heaps of staff to get you a beer or a cocktail and to lay out your towel on a sun bed.
The staff at the Mulia are so, so freindly and polite and they are everywhere, all staff greet you with a hello and a smile, if you ask where something is they personally escort you to the place you want to go, nothing is too much trouble they are champions!!!
The rooms are very, very nice, big bath, big TV , big bed, spotless and the toilets are auotmatic the seats lift up when you walk in and the seat heats up when you sit on them, they also clean and dry you but you will have to expirence that for yourself, the toilets were a great laugh, once agin i have never see anything like these toilets!!!
The breakfasts are so great, with so much food, from japanese, indian, chinese, indo, western, fruit, ceral, they even make fresh pancakes for you, if you go there on a diet you will struggle!! the breakfast is the best!! we had a buffett dinner here also, once again can not be faulted every type of food you can imagine, they even grill chops and steak for you, and the have a huge chocolate fountain once again not good for the diet!!
There are plenty of bars to chill out, the two bars up the top behind reception are very elegent and the painting of the elephant behind the bar make even a non artist person go wow!! The bar down stairs by the Lake(with the chapel in the middle of it) if a great place to relax, they have nightclub open on Friday nights with a DJ, but the night club is sound proof so it does not disturb you in your rooms.
This Hotel is crazy, if you fault this place you will never be happy and probally have issues you need to get sorted out, this place is 10 out of 10.
The only issue they have is around the resort and pool the floors get slippery when wet, so you have to watch yourself particually if you not that stable on your feet.
All the staff at this resort should be very proud of the service they offer, thankyou for a wonderful time, i can see why you were just awarded Best new hotel in the world!!!

Room Tip: we had partial sea view, the view of the ocean is great from the balcony

Great hotel concept with lobby level above the hotel rooms. Mulia Bali is definitely marking its way to be the luxurious hotel ever. With high rise ceiling, mall-concept hotel make it enjoyable for guests to explore the hotel, the dining and the deli. Large pools with many sunbeds, great pool bar with beach view. Room is super clean as the housekeeping cleaned our room twice a day.

If you want to have a dipping pool, please request for a room that is on the same level with the dipping pool, so you can just open your room door and step into it.

During mid June to mid July, Hari Raya Puasa and year end holiday, there are many locals who stay at this hotel, please wake up early and have your breakfast before 9 a.m. Otherwise, you need to wait for a long time to get a table. Not easy if you travel with young kids or elderly family members.

It takes one hour in general to go to the Discovery Mall in Kuta and to the airport. To save time you can go to the Bali Collection. Not bad. There is SOGO and other similar shops i.e Batik Keris, Uluwatu, etc you can find in Kuta.

The resort's interior design is modern, so you won't have the feeling that you are in Bali at all.

The good:
a. Many pools.
b. Excellent food.
c. Huge bathroom and auto toilet seat.
d. Wi-fi is fast.

The bad:
a. Wi-fi may need to pay in the future.
b. For a luxury hotel, it is disappointing the rooms are not well sound-proofed. We could hear every step and sound from the corridor.
c. The view to the ocean is partial.

Room Tip: If you want to have a dipping pool, please request for a room that is on the same level with the dip...
