Once you get past the reception it is all good. Very well presented. Well maintained and inviting. The villas are spacious and comfortable. One does not need to leave the villa for any reason except to go yo the restaurant. Restaurant food is very good. The staff are well trained and seem to enjoy their role which makes service very pleasant. Great stay and well looked after. Very well worth staying.

Hello Infopal, thank you staying with us and writing your review. The most important note you have raised is our team and their happiness in our work environment. We certainly promote this with a very "give and take" mentality and in turn I believe this shows in the guest experience provided. Everyone enjoys coming to work with more than 70% of our team having been here for 7-8-9 years and many more since the hotel opened. This is wonderful to be a part of, because it creates a very family feel for our team and our guests, as well as significant consistency with our service. We don't always get it right as we are human and make mistakes, but this is kept to an absolute minimum with consistently high guest experiences. It also demonstrates that we must be doing something right given the volume of competition that has grown around us over the years and the retention we have been able to provide. We all look forward to welcoming you back and if I can assist in making this happen, please do not hesitate to make contact with me directly luke.harley@thebale.com
Kind regards - Luke Harley

Very nice villa with great services. Location is not as convenient as Saminyak for sure but since the bale is just by the main road, it made me feel a bit noisy in midnight. They provide pick up service to Nusa Dua private beach. And you can get sun cream from the bale beach club, how sweet it is :)

Dear PS, thank you very much for your belated short 'n' sweet posting. It is great to see guests coming from Singapore to stay with us, given your proximity to Bali and frequent flights. It is the little things that make a difference eg the sun cream at the beach club or the wi-fi at the beach club that count but where ever it is we try our hardest to ensure the guest comes first. Not everything has to hold a financial value, so if we can provide a quality product with quality service to match and throw in a few things here and there to improve our guest experience then we will do so to ensure where possible our guests leave with the right taste in their mouths. In the greater scheme of things this can only come back to us via referrals, return or other sources of business which far outweigh the principle aspect or micro revenue increments that many implement. Thank you for visiting us and we all look forward to hopefully welcoming you back soon.
Kind regards - Luke Harley

What an incredible time we just spent away for my partners birthday. The bale went above and beyond to create one of the best experiences we have had to date. We arrived to be greeted by the lovely and welcoming Luke the GM which was a great touch and made us feel very special straight away.

We were shown to our room which was upgraded to a deluxe suite, it was very luxurious and the bathroom was very large with an outdoor shower. They thought of everything to make our stay very memorable, from the floral decor that greets us when we arrive to even delivering a cake and decorating the room in rose petals for my partners birthday. The service was prompt and always delivered with a smile.

The spa was amazing! Massages start with a delicious ginger drink and foot bath, it was quite possibly one of the best massages I have ever had, and not too badly priced. Therapists were very professional.

The breakfasts was divine! A great menu where it was all made order- so we tried lots of different things and it was all delicious. The fresh juices every morning where also a great touch.

All of these pieces of the Bale exceeded our expectations but for us what made the Bale standout from any other hotel or resort we have ever stayed at either in Bali or elsewhere was the staff, they were wonderful, extremely genuine, super friendly and really looked like they loved going to work.

Thankyou so much Luke and your team of dedicated staff, every thing was anticipated before we ever had to ask and everyone was so accommodating. I cannot rave about this place enough. Cant wait to return xx

Hi KarenR and thank you for travelling to us from one of my favourite locations in Australia being the Gold Coast. A beautiful part of the world with arguably the best beaches you can find. You have covered most areas within our resort not just our very spacious and modern villas with their privacy, but the other areas like the spa, food and beverage and the little things that make a difference and contribute to the overall guest experience. Our team here are wonderful with a very genuine and caring nature, who do get great satisfaction and pride by ensuring our guests enjoy their time with us. The Spa team provide a wonderful consistent and luxurious treatment, our F&B team provide a very fun and professional start to the day in breakfast to set the tone for the remainder of our guests day, then our butler and front office team will arrange as much or as little as possible depending on the reason for our guests to be here. If it's a special occasion like yours was, they will throw in a few surprises along the way as well to ensure it is memorable. It's a team effort and I am glad you experienced this right across the board. I hope we have the chance to do it all over again and when this can occur, feel free to liaise with me directly luke.harley@thebale.com so I can be personally involved in ensuring another genuine Bale experience. Kind regards - Luke Harley

The Bale is an excellent adults only villa with amazing staff. Villas are well designed with the small flaw of a small glass pane above the bed that lets bright light in in the morning. Defeats the point of black out curtains.

Only tiny drawback is that it's not on the beachfront and a shuttle takes you to the beach in 2 minutes. But once there the Bale has its own private beach area. Geger beach however is full of corrals and stones during low tide and not comfortable to walk on.

Overall much better than most other big hotels and villa complexes.

Highly recommended for couples.

Hi Clivan and thank you for your positive positing about our product. I am glad you drew attention in your heading to the adults only aspect of our resort. This certainly distinguishes us from the many hotels which surround us and there is definitely a market of guests who appreciate this aspect of our resort. We all love children and nearly every person here at our resort has children, many more than 1 so this policy is not to distance ourselves from the loves of our lives, but more to provide a unique opportunity to our guests of privacy, seclusion and tranquility when here to celebrate a honeymoon, anniversary, any other special occasion or even juts a break away from the hustle and bustle. We also find many of our guests are enjoying the finer years of their lives, travelling after their own families have grown up and experiencing things they may not have in a while. This is the majority of our market and it works for our guests benefit. Thank you for also raising that we are not a beach front property or a property with views. We certainly do not promote ourselves as such, but we do provide the services required for our guests to maximise the beautiful local beaches near us in a private area for our guests to enjoy. I agree there are some stones and coral that do get washed up along the beachfront but this is often cleared by the local village members where possible. We have also added wi-fi just a couple of weeks ago at our beach club area, again to increase the guest experience with services provided. We are all very happy you enjoyed your time with us and look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.
Kind regards - Luke Harley

Our villa with a private pool was incredible beautiful, confortable and quiet. We didn't want to leave.
We had many meals in the restaurant "Faces" and all were really good.
The staff was incredibile friendly and helpfull. We want to thank all of them for making our stay so memorable.

Dear sebipla, thank you for your positive review and also for visiting us from the Big Apple. What a huge difference, not just in climate but also environment between NYC and Bali. I am glad you were able to appreciate the difference and also enjoy the beautiful nature of the Balinese people. You travel this distance to experience something new and I am glad we could accomodate this, along with the other locations you stayed and visited to make The Bale and Bali a memorable time for you both. Our villa product is of high quality as you know, as is our Food and Beverage offerings with service, so I am glad you did not need nor want to leave given what we could provide between Faces and our newest addition being TAPA which is a bit more casual and relaxed. Until next time thank you and look forward to welcoming you or your family/friends back to the beauty and warmth of The Bale. Kind regards - Luke Harley
