We, 2Ad 1Ch stay 3 nights at this hotel. This is actually not the first one but we often stay at this hotel for the last 3years.

As usual, c/in and c/out service is good. They recognize my name and no need to fill in the guest details again

Room also clean as well as the bathroom. View is excellent as we always asked for the beach view room. Room also spacious but sadly they still use CRT TV, not the LCD.

My child is in love with the pool actually. They have lagoon pool and 2 big pool. So we can try different pool at a time with small and big slide.

Service is still excellent. When you need anything, they will be more than happy to accommodate.

However, this is a big resort with more than 500rooms if I'm not mistaken. Service is excellent but it's not comparable with boutique hotel in Ubud, for example.

One thing that I notice, since I'm their frequent guest, the food variety for breakfast is not as good as before. It seems they cut some section such as dim sum section and japanese section. So currently they just have slightly more than ave breakfast reguler food.

If you prefer to have more personalized service, serve you like a king, this is not the place but if you wanna stay at big resort with grand facilities then this is the perfect place

Grand Hyatt in Bali truely knows how to look after its guest whether adults or children. The hotel has special pools with water slides etc which are great for the kids (our kids are 10yrs & 3yrs old). For the adults their other pools are good for serious swimming as well as for lazing around. Just outside the hotel is a market area with small shops, spas, restaurants etc. So in the evening one can go out of the hotel & just chill.

To top up the great facilities of the hotel is the superior service level of the hotel staff from the front desk to the restaurants to room service. Very friendly & caring towards children. We stayed 5nights and the staff really made our stay wonderful.

If there is one area that they need to improve on is the cleaning of the rooms. As we had a family room with small kids we found a few day old foods stuffs that the kids had thrown below the beds not pick-up. But when we pointed this out they cleaned it.

Great family hotel. Look forward to returning soon.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt for 10 nights before a city break to Singapore, we loved the hotel and its atmosphere it was relaxing, beautiful and very well maintained! We found the entire hotel and Grand Club rooms to be modern, clean and not in need of refurbishment like other reviews have said. (We feel this after stopping in a brand new hotel last year.)

We upgraded to the Grand Club deluxe garden view room it was lovely, we had a large bed, sitting area, balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens and separate bathroom with a bath, separate rain shower and his and hers sinks. The wardrobe space was large and the hotel provided more hangers after noticing we prefer to hang our clothes than fold them. They provided amenities, these were good but we would have liked to have had products of a better standard in the Grand Club rooms - perhaps from the Kriya Spa.

The Grand Club rooms are excellent value for money, we received a free 30 min massage, dinner and show at the hotel, plus you get free drinks all day and the evening canapés + drinks from 5-7 - these were lovely, different each night and a good variety for meat and non-meat eaters. As a vegetarian it would have been more helpful if all the food was labelled as some wasn't and I was unsure if I could eat it. In addition, we received free bottles of water every day - this was twice a day - sometimes more so we had plenty to drink and had 12 bottles left over, bearing in mind we love sunbathing all day.
Also, there is access to the club pool - we didn't find this until the 2nd day as it wasn't pointed out to us - just the closet pool to our room was. This was quiet in the morning and then became busier later, it was still very quiet and peaceful and the water in the pool was COOL not like a bath like other reviews have mentioned. We opted to sit on the beach for the last few days as it was very warm around the pool due to the little breeze. On the beach it was very breezy this was welcomed due to the hot weather. The beach was clean and well maintained by the Hyatt, some rubbish around on other hotel beaches but it is not restrictive in anyway.

During our stay we visited the Bali Collection across the road, this is good for shopping, spas and restaurants - all of them we ate in were lovely. Just a word of warning if you eat at the Bayan Tree do not order Mexican as the wooden grids came with ants! We found the prices to be very cheap :) average £20 for 2 courses + 4 drinks. The hotel charges about double this, for example we ate in the Salsa Verde restaurant which did cost more, but the food was fresh, tasty and the portions were large, so it was worth it!

In addition, after reading other reviews on trip advisor we hired a taxi driver for the day to take us to various locations around the island, this cost us 600,000 rupiah (£48) we selected a taxi from outside the Bali Collection our driver was called Gede he was helpful, informative and an excellent driver - if you go ask for him! We visited Sanur, Ubud - paintings and gold makers, Mt Batur + Lake (stopped here for lunch), stopping off at very beautiful locations to take photographs, then travelled to the Mother Temple. The temple wasn't what we expected, it wasn't well maintained and there wasn't anyone worshipping, it felt like a tourist trap. Also, you need to hire/buy/bring with you a sarong to enter the temple, then they try to force you into paying for a local guide - we did want one because it was our first time at a temple BUT they try to rip you off - so say you have visited many before and do not require one!!!

Overall, we had a pleasant relaxing stay we would definitely recommend this hotel and the Grand Club rooms - we will be back! Thank you Hyatt for a lovely stay :))

Room tip: Definately upgrade to a Grand Club room

First off, the breakfast here is the best. You have an option of anything you desire and everything is so fresh.
The grounds of the hotel, including the pools and the decor, were so beautiful. It captured the essence of Bali and the exotic island that it is. There is a private beach ( as almost all the hotels in Nusa Dua have). The water temperature was perfect and there are pretty big waves.
One thing that was a little disappointing was the size of the room and the fact it was dated.
It wasn't that nice, it doesn't match the hotel as a whole. Walking into the room is like you are transported into another hotel that is less than 3 stars. The pictures of the rooms are a little misleading on the Grand Hyatt website.
Other than that I think it was a fun trip and a nice introduction to Bali.
