The staff is wonderful, the pool and beach and food was all great. The location couldn't be better, in a very safe area with tons of security - while still on the beach. The only area that needs some sprucing are the rooms, they could use some paint and clean-up. Great service and shopping at the Bali Collection is walking distance away.
Wish I would have extended my stay here, instead of going to the "sister hotel" (SOL Beach House)...

I just wanted to highlight how understanding and helpfull was the staff ( and management) of the hotel. Very professionnal and customer- oriented...
Nusa Dua is also a very nice area, beautiful beaches, nice restaurants and shopping places.

We decided to ignore the bad reviews as we had stayed next door and seen this hotel previous. Big mistake.
My husband was very sick requiring a dr to our room, still after 2 emails requesting the Doctors receipt which they'd ailed to give us on checkout, they continue to ignore us.

ROOMS...We booked 2 lagoon access rooms, one a king and the other twin for our daughters. Firstly we were given 2 king rooms, both king beds had single mattresses on top, my daughters aged late teens had to sleep with the king bed made up as two singles on top, so sharing a bed but not the sheets, we were offered no compensation for this and they only offered to move our daughters elsewhere away from us.... Both beds plus our friends who were also staying at same hotel had the same problem with beds being short and our feet hanging over the end.
Phone, and hair dryer both stopped working. Teaspoons need to be supplied in rooms, even after we asked they still didn't supply us any.

HOUSEKEEPING.... Needs improvement, we placed 2 change linen cards on our bed and still they ignored it. Also rooms not getting serviced til after 3pm. Basics like coffee, sugar and toilet paper were not topped up for 3 days.

BREAKFAST... Prob the worse we have had, Egg station fantastic, scrambled eggs away from egg station were sloppy and watery, baked beans 2 of us spat out as they tasted off. They didn't cater for much else in terms of western food.

LAGOON.....lagoon access rooms were ok, lagoon water mostly freezing as the sun doesn't even reach them unless you are in block 1, so we spent more time at the main pool. careful on the wood decking as they are that old they are lifting and give you splinters. Take lots of mozzie repellant as they also thought it smart to have plants planted in water outside every room.

NOISE..... You can hear the toilets in adjoining rooms, everyone walking outside your room, and the pool staff not caring quests are sleeping at 6:30am, they need to realise how loud they talk when we can hear them across a lagoon and closed doors.

If we hadn't paid using a prepaid deal we would have checked out and checked in next door at the Laguna where we regret not rebooking with them instead this time.
Do yourself a favour take note of all the bad reviews, and go stay next door at the Laguna.

This hotel claims to be 5* but should be 3. If you pay high prices you would expect to get what you pay for. We stayed in the Lagoon access suite and and then upgraded to the executive suite (we have children and needed space). Both rooms were very tired and run down. Our room came with an entertainment system that has cassette decks. Curtain rods poke out of the side of the blinds which actually fell off the wall in our bedroom. There were no glasses, knives and forks or bowls in the kitchenette - I could go on. The lifts break down constantly. 2-3 lifts were out of order at any given time. You just don't get what you pay for as things don't work.
On the outside the pool tiles look like they have been stuck on with chewing gum but the gardens are very neat. On the positive side the staff are great and very enthusiastic. Kids club is great with plenty of activities. Restaurants and facilities are good.
This hotel is as the day it was built in 1983 and hasn't been touched since...its screaming for an upgrade.

Room Tip: Try a different hotel. Families the Novotel Nusa Dua excellent value , couples defiantly the Laguna stunning and worth the money.

We recently took the family (6 adults and 4 grandkids under 5 ) to this hotel in beautiful Nusa Dua for 5 nights.
The service was excellent, the swimming pools catered for our grandkids, the accommodation was very good.
My wife and I had a swim up room, which we loved , whilst the 2 families had different types of rooms , but everybody was happy.
Nusa Dua is not plagued by the hassles of Kuta and the Bali Collection shopping mall was only a short walk away.
The food was very consistent and the Happy Hour at the pool goes for 3 hours. (2 for the price of 1).
We all loved it.

Room Tip: The swim up rooms on the ground floor were great for couples.
