We stayed in Laguna resort for a week in October. Overall experience was lovely, the resort is very clean and looked after. it`s a beautiful place, and very cosy and romantic, nice place for a romantic holiday or a honeymoon. It`s very quiet and peaceful and not too crowded.
Beach and pool were both nice, beachside bar was good, and staff were all excellent. The grounds, pools and hotel are both immaculate .
We stayed in a Lagoon view room on the third floor .The room is spacious and we had a lovely view from the balcony, the only downside was the room was a bit dated and the bathroom smelt of damp but we didn't spend much time in the room anyway.
The resort is in a good location, only 20 minutes from the airport, we hired a driver for few days who was amazing and took us around Bali , and showed us beautiful places in Bali. You can hire a driver for the whole day and it`s very cheap and really worth it. We used Ngurah (hery_ngurah@yahoo.co.id) , definitely recommend doing this(going to Ubut, monkey forest, rice fields, Dream beach and Jimbaran Bay). Really enjoyed my stay in there and would go back.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for a week. We are frequent travellers and usually stay at villas so we were reluctant at first to go to a resort. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff at reception with a delicious ice tea! We were then escorted to our room which was a nice room, though a tad aged. The services at the hotel were truly exceptional which always makes it all worthwhile. Lovely lagoon like pools all around the property and calm and clean beaches! The little squirrels on the property were a surprise and delight! We loved feeding them with peanuts and little treats.

Room Tip: Ask for a room closer to the beach

My wife and I stayed here when we were in Bali for scuba diving and sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. During check-in we were met by two members of the leadership team who told us about the various services offered at the hotel (they did a hard sell on the spa, but it's hard to justify spending $90 for a massage when you can get one outside the gate for $5). We were upgraded to an executive suite, which was nice, although the decor was a bit blah. We were offered free breakfast in either of two restaurants, both of which had a nice selection (although as usual the bacon was rubbish). We were disappointed that they didn't have an Indonesian restaurant, although they pointed us to the Dulang at the St. Regis, where we had a fantastic rijstafel meal. The fitness center was decent. There was no coffee machine in the room. Instead, there was a butler on call who would bring us coffee - espresso, cappuccino, caffe latte, etc. - or tea, any time we called, at no cost. My only real complaint is the location, which is only good if you want to spend all of your time lounging around a resort and not experience anything Indonesian. There was a nice beach, there were water sports (very expensive - a stand-up paddle rental was more than double what I would pay in Hawaii), restaurants, and a shuttle that went to a shopping mall. This and several other hotels were all inside a large gated park that kept it isolated from the rest of the island. We found this very disturbing. We do not typically fly to a foreign country in order to isolate ourselves in an enclave full of other tourists. It would have been nice not to have the 1-2k walk to the gate in order to get to local shops and restaurants. Also, if you want to scuba dive or see the sights of the island, it is a bit far - probably adds an extra 30-45 minutes to any outing.

Arriving at the Laguna to traditional balinese dancing and a welcome iced tea in a gorgeous reception area - we knew we'd have a good holiday.
Can't praise this hotel and it's staff enough. Quick check in and we were escorted to our room which was a garden view room on 4th floor. Spotlessly clean and well decorated, with lovely views of the grounds. The bathroom is mega clean, with fresh towels and toiletries every day, the beds were extremely comfortable and helped for a good night sleep. The Butler service is great for iced coffee to your room, and nothing was too much effort for him.
The hotel is right on the beach and we found that there were plenty of areas in the sun ( and shade) to chill out. Given it was November the hotel felt relaxed and quite quiet, the perfect place to soak up the rays.
Food and drink were lovely - yes it is more expensive than going outside the resort but what you get is gorgeous and well presented. Excellent selection of breakfast ideas from fresh fruit to dim sum/sushi, omelettes to pastries. Try the Jamu!!!
The staff can't do enough for you - special thanks to Nova at the poolside and Aprin and his team in Cornerstone ( lovely ice creams and coffee). Happy hour in the bars at various times of the evening certainly help you taste the excellent cocktails on offer at reasonable prices.
Taxis into Jimbaran and Seminyak for a change of scene are very affordable, and the Bali collection is well within walking distance for shops, massage and eateries.
All in all would definitely return to this hotel - safe, friendly, clean and just bliss. Well done Laguna and thank you.

I just spent a relaxing week at The Laguna.
The room had a lovely view out to the lagoon..and ocean glimpses too.
A balcony completed the setting.
The bathroom was very spacious...with lots of towels and amenities.
The location of the hotel was amongst other resorts along the beach at Nusa Dua.
My favourite part of my stay was the Butler...life doesn't get better than dialling your very own Butler in the morning to bring you your espresso.
Staff were all very accommodating..even using my name by the pool.
My only dislike was the smoking by the pool.
Most hotels are smoke free and usually have a designated area for smokers.
I was surprised that all the chairs by the pool had ashtrays and as a non smoker I shouldn't have to breathe in other peoples smoke.
I did visit the gym only twice as I found the air-conditioning too hot,the staff member said that it was always like that and that people complain..possibly could explain why the gym was empty.
Overall I loved the hotel and would most definitely return.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the lagoon have lovely views.

What an amazing week we had at The Laguna. We had four adults and three kids (8, 6, 4), and everybody had a blast. The beach, the cabanas, pools, lagoons - all amazing. Rooms were great as well. We got the kids club pass for the kids' food, and it was a great deal. Breakfast buffet might have been our favorite part. Delicious mango juice! Our girls loved playing the drums with the musician in the lobby. We can't wait to go back!

The rooms, service and over all location of this property was exceptional. Really enjoyed the our 5 day stay here. The breakfast buffet each morning was great. All the staff were very helpful in every regard. My only negative comment was the lack of air con n the lobby area, it was unbearable each morning to stay in the lobby for more than a minute before one started sweating profusely, other areas of the resort did not seem to be as uncomfortable
