I had initially booked a spray tan session at 5pm, however due to logistical issues with transporting their machine from their salon in Seminyak to Nusa Dua in time for my 5pm session the staff happily agreed to come to my hotel to spray tan me in my room at no extra cost.

Thank you to Maya at TSL Nusa Dua for coming up with a great solution to ensure that I get a spray tan that same day.

We walked in after being turned away by another salon and I’m so glad we came here! The staff are so kind!! My eyelashes and nails were done quickly and beautifully my daughter had hers done as well as my sister and we were all extremely happy! We came back today for wedding hair and makeup and have been pampered and are leaving looking fabulous!! Thankyou team TSL!! Xxxx

I received excellent service from Mardi. I stopped in to get a nail mended and then had a hair conditioning. He was very attentive, friendly and professional. Cannot say enough about his customer service.

Ask for a manicure & pedicure with Mardi! The attention to detail and quality of the finish was excellent. Very nice salon, a lovely place to treat yourself to some pampering.

My friend and I were excited we found a hair salon close to our hotel when we went. I was hoping for someone to fix two bad highlight experiences that I had already had in Bali with some simple partial blonde highlights and my friend went with her hair already shampooed/treated, just wanting a good blow out and styling-that cost her 140000 rp.

My friend was lucky and got Sandy (Sammy?). He was lovely. He took his time, got her a coffee and gave her great attention. I was not so lucky. When I was told that a partial highlight fix on my part line and around my face would cost 1.3 million rupiah (much higher than the website quote for a partial) and would come with an overall toner (and an overall price much higher price than home), I opted for a blue shampoo to get out the gold/red/orange tones. I know my hair. I have never had a stylist who did a great job on highlights who had to use a toner. Back home here in Canada, it is one step with peroxide/foils and then shampoo, not change the whole head with toner. I erred on the side of caution as I did not want one more mistake to my head going home and just opted for the blue shampoo.

My stylists, Andreas, was most upset with me it seemed and it was easy to tell. He was even dismissive of the receptionist or manager who wanted to speak with me. I asked that he avoid 2/3rd of my hair with the blue shampoo as it didn't need changing but he did not. As he began, I said high heat turns my hair to straw and asked if he could he use a round brush, he told me I had a lot of hair. Yes, I do, and I know it well. He did not listen to me. He was whipping the blow dryer around so much I couldn't read, my hair was flying, the heat was so hot I felt my scalp and ears burning, my friend was looking over and asked if I was ok-his dryer cord was even hitting me in the face/head and on the whole right side of my body. I remarked that it was very hot and he didn't care, he just kept going. I asked again for round brushing to give me body and he used a paddle brush to make it super flat.

The colour was toned down to an ash from a warm blonde and instead of a round brush volume, he gave me volume by back combing. The high heat caused my hair to feel like straw. My friend stuck around to watch from the salon porch. She was mortified too.

I can only assume his treatment of me and my hair was because he was not happy he did not bring in a few million. My blue shampoo and blow out was 280000rp. They told me I needed an oil treatment, I said I did not that a simple conditioning would be fine as my hair was affected by chlorine and a beach walk that day but would recover with conditioning. Looks like I was not listened to over that either. I had to go home that night, use a john frieda blonde shampoo and recondition my hair to overcome what he had done. What a waste of money!

In summary... the place is nice, great location for the Nusa Dua area, Sandy/Sammy was wonderful for a blow out, the manager or receptionist who spoke English was lovely, but I cannot recommend the blow out by Andreas. Be careful of the prices quoted on their menu, the lady between my friend and I was saying the same thing to employees when she was getting all her treatments done. The website says one thing then when they get you through the door they say another. Even if Andreas was happy as a clam that day and not resentful, then it was the worst blow out and styling I have ever had for a bizarre price. By the time I left I felt humiliated by my treatment and just wanted to pay and go.

My recommendation is, confirm your price before you get there and get the receptionist's name who quoted you that price, ask for Sammy/Sandy (sorry I did not see the card he gave my friend, just heard her say she thought that was his name) and do not get Andreas for a blow/out or style unless you enjoy getting your ears burned off and being whipped by a cord until your hair feels like straw. If I go back in the future, it will be to do what my friend did, put in all my products and go to Sammy/Sandy for a relaxing blow out and styling.

It's taken us a while to respond to this because we've reached out to you via messaging to try to get some clarity around this but you did not respond, but really the delay in responding to this review is we're at such a loss for words on how to do so.

Clearly there's a clash of personalities going on here but if you take a moment to review the reviews Andrea's and the team have, you'll see that what you've described simply doesn't seem the norm of the business we run or standards we maintain so we encourage you to have a bit of self criticality in the situation as well. What hurts most is your insinuation that we are money hungry; that couldn't be further from the truth and on a regular basis we turn away clients for expensive services when their hair is not appropriate for what they request as was the situation with yours. The way you're trying to portray us is saddening as we are indeed a sincere and capable business and through multiple conversations we've had with you, frankly, receiving a review like this is not a surprise.

Andrea's has an incredible following in Bali and after reviewing our in-house CCTV footage and conversations with the team, what you've described simply seems to be nitpicking and over exaggeration of a relatively straightforward visit.

As mentioned earlier, I've messaged you with my contact information and would be happy to have a proper conversation with you to fully understand your perspective.

We wish you better visits to other salons in the future.
