We stayed in a standard room for 230,000RP for one night, which seemed a little pricey in low season for a room without air-con. The room was basic but clean, with a bathtub, shower (hot water) and fan. The TV had one english language channel. The pool was very nice and the staff were friendly. About a 15 - 20 minute walk into central Kuta and about a 5 minute walk to Legian Beach.

we used to go at this hotel for quiet some years and were happy about it until this time....within two years the price went double and just don't propose any services or better rooms for it....we also had our safety box opened and had a new locker on it which our key did not feat to open.....result was some money that disapeared....when we went to police station the staff became really awefull as they were treating my wife with different names and so on.....we have been in this hotel for each one of our 7 trips and we will never go there anymore

I thought I had done a review so this is a bit late.
It was clean, room was spacious, we had a verandah and were right next to the pool (which was new and sparkling and scrubbed every morning). Breakfast was great. Air con worked well. Very central position and Komang the manager was very nice. They were the pro's.
Mattress on the floor for daughter, very old tatty furniture, no satelite tv as stated, no drinking glasses, no soap and terribly thin towels that had to be used for the pool also....They were the con's.
When we spoke to komang about little things that were not supplied like the drinking glasses and soap...he said they were if you asked. And to be fair we then had them within 10 minutes.
Tatty furniture....it's budget , so to be expected.
Mattress on the floor was not thick enough for my liking. I do feel there is room for a frame and so there should be one.
So after a couple of days, we decided that perhaps we could stay there again as we were paying 300 000rp, but would stay in the deluxe room because we wanted a fridge. But when we enquired, the price was to be 480 000rp.(the furniture was better but still a mattress on the floor and the only extra was a fridge).
So we do not feel that it is worth that sort of money.....not when we looked at the Sorgawi that had a proper bed for our daughter and tea and coffee.......and also the masa inn and that had a proper bed, cable tv and 2 pools. Kusnadi was gorgeous..., sinar was nice...so there was much around in that price range and better standard.
So I think what used to be a good, cheap budget hotel is now a good, more expensive budget hotel.
I would only stay there again for a very short trip and if i got it for a good price.
And If you managed to get a good price, then take your own towels.

30-M-USA traveling solo here....

While the rooms are average, the location, friendly staff & price more than make up for the lack of flash. Who stays in their room when they visit Bali, anyway??? Most rooms have little balconies, and a full BIG breakfast is included in the price of the room. Pool is small but actually very nice. For about $27 US per night, you can't go wrong!

my hotel room was carefully and professionally robbed by someone with a key.
a credit card had 750 aud spent in 2 hours and 400 aud in cash taken.
originally i believed i had just foolishly dropped my wallet earlier in the day. when i went out to internet which is next door, on my return my wallet, minus credit card and cash was returned. SPOOKY.
the security were zero help and so was the owner.
I then had my new credit card sent from my aussie bank sent to there address which apparently NEVER arrived.
Iam an experienced traveller who has never had any issues like this before.
AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS.

The staffs are friendly but sorry to say that the romm was awfull. The bed and cabinets were old and rotting. Swimming pool was under renovation .And the main reason i moved out of the hotel the very next day was because the room door didint have a double lock from inside, which meant anyone can opne the door with a key from outside. As we were 2 girls alone, we didint wanna take any risk. Other than that breakfast was acceptable and the location is about 300- 400 m frm the beach which is not too bad. i later moved to Komala Indah which was next to a 24 hour mini mart and right across the Kuta Beach. It was cheaper than Hotel Puri Tanah Lot and the rooms were better maintained. Breakfast however was the same toast everyday.

This hotel is located around a 5 minute walk from the beach.

The staff was friendly and the rooms are clean with high ceilings.
The pool is a bit small but nice. There were a lot of people hanging around and in the pool during our entire stay.
