“Great stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

My daughter and I stayed at the Adi Dharma in November 2012, and were well looked after. Initially we had been given a room with a king bed (which wasn't what we had booked), but were changed to a twin without any fuss. Staff made the effort to remember our names, and always greeted us with a smile and some conversation. The pool is excellent, and the Superior rooms are big and comfortable, with all the amenities you need. We will stay here again. Try to avoid going during "schoolies"!

Room Tip: Choose a superior room away from the pool (it can get quite noisy in the evenings).

My partner and I stayed at the Adi Dharma Hotel for 8 nights in December and were amazed by the quality for the price! We arrived at the Hotel at 1am and we were able to check-in and still get escorted to our room! The room we stayed in (the Superior Room) was a great size with a fantastic air conditioner. Free bottles of water were provided daily. The pool was clean and the swim up bar was just nice to relax next to and it was as if we were the only people staying there it was that quiet. Only downer was that only Bali Hai was available at the Happy hour prices. The restaurant was cheap and excellent for both breakfast (full buffet provided in the room cost) and Dinner (the other half was so impressed with the Fettucini Carbonara, he got a second serving!). The staff were so lovely and friendly who were always willing to help you out. The spa was decently priced and the staff were well trained in what they do. A 3 and a half hours couple treatment cost approx. $75 AUD for the works!! Walking distance to Poppie's Lane II, the beach and Jalan Legian and just a bit further up from Matahari's and Kuta Square. You feel as if you are nowhere near all the hussle and bussle of Kuta but you are closer than you think! Highly recommended!

stayed her for leavers in November , was a large group of us, hotel tucked away down an alley, but still easy access(taxis not too keen to go all the way down ) but you can cut thru the Cottages(at top of the lane way) to get on to Jelan Legian or you can cut thru the Wina Hotel to get to beach..( straight out the driveway)..
rooms big , clean and have all you need, water daily, safe in room...
pool nice not too big...has swim up pool bar, the staff always willing to help... also like you can hire mobile phones at reception ( came in handy for the kids to keep in touch with us).
The spa would have to be one of the best Ive used in the 12 times Ive been to Bali...clean, quiet, very pleasant and the girls.. are wonderful...will go back again...

Room Tip: all rooms have a little balcony, ones near pool could get noisy...

Stayed here for 6 nights with a group of 10. Stayed in a family room with held 4 people comfortably. Rooms are basic but are clean with good beds.

Units situated around a pool and are mostly quiet. Friends who stayed got some construction noise as they were on opposite side but wasn't major. Mosquitoes were ample but never in the room but ensure you pack repellent.

Ate quite a bit of food at restaurant and was really good. Very relaxing ordering cheap meals by the pool. The pool was a good size and we certainly have the pool bar a good workout with a happy hour every afternoon. Given the peak time of year, we never had an issue getting a table or deckchair.

My fiancé made good use of the spa there and was able to get 3 hr treatments for approx. 35 AUD which she enjoyed and allowed myself to hang by pool.

On NYE, the hotel put on a gala dinner with a buffet and traditional dancing/music that was very well done.

Location wise, 10 min walk to 'ground zero' where the memorial is situated. You can hit the many markets around there easily or walk for another 15-20 down to the discovery mall and 'real shops'. Taxis usually drop you near ground zero and an easy walk from there. Just watch the taxi pricing as they usually try to rip tourists off.

Overall, for 3 stars, certainly one of the best value resorts I've stayed at and a great place to go if you're travelling with friends.

The Adi Dharma hotel is tucked away away from the main streets of Kuta.I would reccomend hiring a scooter, as we found a lot of taxi drivers didn't want to take us there. They would offer to drop us close to the hotel, because it is in a small alley and out of their way. If you have a hard time getting around on foot don't stay here. It's only about a 10 minute walk to Kuta beach, or in the opposite directions, it will only take 5-10 minutes to walk to either the Kuta nightclub scene or Legian.
There are lots of great little bars and restaraunts in the area, and my favourite part was being able to walk around without being hassled to buy things. After a couple of days, the shop owners will remember you and stop asking you to buy from them, and after the first day, it's pretty easy to find your way around. It is a reasonably small hotel. The pool is good, with a waterslide for the kids, a pool bar, and plenty of sunbaking beds.
We enjoyed all of the meals we ate from the restaraunt. The buffet breakfast wasn't fantastic, but that's what you expect from free buffet breakfast.
The internet in the lobby was very slow. The staff are very fiendly and polite. We booked a few tours through the reception staff, and had no problems.
The rooms were fantastic. They are spacious, with large comfortable beds, in room safe, and small table and chairs outside (we were on the ground floor) The only problem we had was a pretty common one in Bali hotels. The toilet flooded the bathroom, but it was fixed within ten minutes of us calling reception.

Room Tip: If all you want to do is drink at the pool bar, I wouldn't stay here. There are only a few stool...

Just returned from our honeymoon in Bali booked via mercury direct on transfer from airport local rep. said Kuta was dangerous with lots of "bad people" and was not the right place for our age group (late 50s).the local mercury rep Sri Partiani agreed that Kuta was not the best place for us and, at a cost of £800 got us moved to a hotel in Benoa which was much nicer. When we returned we sent a letter of complaint to mercury direct as they had missold us the holiday, they replied with a photocopy of a form I had been given to sign by Sri she said it was just a formality to explain why we were leaving the adhi dharma, in fact she had tricked me, it was a disclaimer meaning we could not get compensation. Also the manageress at adhi charged us two nights even though we had only stayed for one.

Room Tip: If you are over 40 and from england avoid kuta if you want a peaceful hoilday
