Stayed here the 25th - 29th August with a few mates.
Was expecting a party hotel but generally the place was fairly quiet at night.
Previous people had commented on being hassled by some of the shop keepers out the front but we didn't experience any problems.
Nice bar called the Reunion club just down the alley before Jalan Legian.
Good rooms and decent breakfasts. I would definently stay here again if travelling with friends. Don't know if i would if i was with the family.

Forgot to mention the guys at the poolbar are great.

Hotel is in a good location close to shops & nightlife suprisingly quiet considering it is in the centre of Kuta. Fantastic pool & bar area rooms are clean shower could do with a bit of an upgrade but overall great hotel would stay here again.

I stayed here with my young children for one night after arriving in Bali and before heading north to Lovina. We stayed in a standard ground floor room which was quite adequate but nothing flash. All seemed fine until the sun fell. From about 10pm until dawn, the bars, restaurants and clubs pumped out the music. The hotel's rooms, gardens and balconies were full of teens and twenty-somethings off their faces, shrieking and braying. I was totally unprepared for the racket although I guess the location of the hotel (near the memorial on Jalan Legian) should have set off my mental alarm bells. Ok hotel for the Breezer crowd but otherwise, no thanks

I stayed at the Dewi Sri Hotel with two girlfriends in a twin room. We paid a bit extra on the room cost to get the extra bed put in, which was two mattresses on the floor, squeezed in between the two single beds. At first it was a bit off putting, but we all took turns to sleep on it and it was very comfortable.

Our room was very clean, fairly spacious and new. We heard from other residents however that we were in the 'new wing' of the hotel, and that while their rooms were quite a bit larger, they were not up to the same standard of cleanliness due to being much older - so I recommend requesting the new rooms!

We were also lucky to be staying on the bottom floor - the new wing had around five floors, with only stairs to access. The stairs are quite steep and very narrow. After a day of shopping and carrying all those bags I would not have wanted to climb all those stairs!

The air-con in the hotel is amazing!! After shopping all day, we would come back to the room and feel cold and refreshed.

The breakfast was also decent - they have an attendant there making eggs however you like (omelette, fried, scrambled), then usually have bacon & sausages, juice, coffee, toast etc. I tended to avoid the bacon & sausages as they were not the best quality...

We also used the room service quite a bit - the food was very tasty, but usually took some time to get the room, but was always still warm. I got bali belly part of the way through our trip, and practically lived off the chicken and sweet corn soup! However, only order hot food from the room service. Upon asking, we found out they wash their vegetables etc in the tap water, which is probably why I got bali belly.

The location of the hotel is AMAZING! It's just down a little alleyway from the bomb memorial. As a result, its a 1 minute walk to heaps of nightclubs and shopping, but you can't hear it when you're trying to sleep. We walked everywhere, only took taxis to go to places like the safari and waterbom park. It's a bit annoying that walking down the alleyway there are a few stalls that harrass you every time you go past, but if you just walk quickly and don't talk to them (at first i was being nice, but you wouldn't be able to leave if you are!) then it's not really an issue. Also avoid big puddles that form in the alleyway towards the street entrance - if motorbikes and taxis go through, they don't care about splashing muddy water on you!

The pool was very nice and not busy - they had towels available at a stall near the pool, which you were expected to return when you were done. You could be brought cocktails & food to the poolside from the main bar, and it wasn't very busy so there was always a lounge chair available. Not the place to meet and greet as it was always very quiet, but a good way to relax after a busy day.

The service was also pretty decent - they were brisk and efficient, and when we wanted to order mcdonalds or kfc delivery, we just gave them our order and they ordered it for us and called our room when it arrived. Maybe not as friendly as you usually expect from the balinese people as a whole, but I can't fault their service in any way.

All in all, I would recommend this hotel to any teenagers that want to have a big one without spending too much time at the hotel, or any couples or travellers that want to be in close proximity to all the market shopping and nightlife. It's still alright for families because it's not a 'party hotel', but doesn't have much in the way to entertain the kids.

(Just a tip - buy your own water from the 7-11 nearby! The water in the fridge is not free, although the signs around the room are a bit deceptive and easy to misunderstand.)

Stayed there with my 8yr old grandson...was a great place...staff were terrific & friendly...room was suprisingly big & very comfy for 2 people...bathroom was clean tho toilet was water stained...breaky was so-so but hey it was only breaky...only thing I could say against it was the drinks at the bar were too expensive...cocktail was 63,000 where it was 40 - 50,000 elsewhere...but overall it was good value...will definately be staying there again....& running the gauntlet of the lane was good fun once you got used to it...

We stayed here for 4 days. The staff was VERY helpfull and courteous.
The buffet breakfast was only so-so.
The swimming pool became a no go zone as it was filled day and night with fat beer drinking Australians.
Generally a good value hotel if you like to stay near all the clubbing facilities of Kuta, but a bit far from everything else that really matters in Bali.
Would recommend for die-hard clubbers only.
Oh, and the towels really could do with a replacement
