My partner and I were actually booked into the Adi Dharma Hotel but got horrible lost in the alley ways and ended up at the cottages (same company- different location)
We are happy that we did the staff were lovely, he place is small but well maintained, it is an older place but the rooms are big enough and clean.

Pool was lovely, back far enough from the road so no noise. The only bad thing was our bathroom window opened to the path where people came in from the alleyways, so we were woken up by a fair few groups of late night drinkers getting home. Sure this wouldnt be the case if you had a room a floor up etc.

Will definitely be back!

We (my husband and I) stayed at the Adi Dharma Cottages in February 2014. When we arrived we were shown a room with a busy alley and building construction going on right outside. We asked for another room and were immediately given a much quieter room and the staff were very polite, happy to help and asked the next morning if we were happy with the room.
The staff were all polite, friendly and smiling the entire time - everyone greeted us with a smile and by name.
Our room was comfortable, very clean and tidy, and cleaned to a high standard every day.
The air conditioner and TV in the room worked well.
We always felt safe and secure at the cottages as someone was always on reception, with a security guard at the main gate, and staff always wandering around the grounds (working in the garden etc...) plus we had a safe in the room to keep our valuables.
We checked out early in the day we were leaving and our suitcases were locked at reception securely until we left for the airport that evening.
We ate at the restaurant many times and the service, food and drinks were always served quickly and were delicious.
The pool is quite small, but well looked after and clean, and has nice music playing.
The staff are a credit to this hotel - they really looked after us and were always happy to help make our stay relaxing.
This hotel is the perfect place to stay if you want to be in Kuta but need somewhere to escape from the crazy streets at the end of the day.

Room Tip: The rooms in the first building seem to be quieter

I have stayed at the Adhi Dharma cottages twice and both times I was happy, I've been to Bali 6 times and you pay for what you get. Everything you need is at your finger tips. The rooms aren't overly modern but they are clean and I've always felt safe staying there alone (I was 23 the first time & 25 the last staying in a room by myself with friends staying in other rooms). The pool is clean, Not huge but there is never anyone there. The restaurant is pretty average but Legian St at the front of the hotel & the lane behind are filled with cheap clean food with lots of variety along with some relaxed bars with good atmospheres. Also at the back entrance of the cottages on Benesari lane there is a money exchange across from the circle k that I have used (and recommended to all my friends) countless times and I have never had a problem. The hotel staff have always been accommodating when ever we need help. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the main area that the clubs are and very occasionally at night you might hear a bit of noise due to the wind direction but if you close your bathroom door it's fine and hardly noticeable.

The rooms are well maintained, and the staff is very friendly.
Most of the time the pool area is empty so we had the pool for ourselves.

The only annoying thing were a group of young French guys who set out to party all day and night but this was not the Hotels fault.

awesome hotel , friendly staff, .loved this place and will visit again. The rooms was clean and tidy . Spa staffs are very friendly specially one therapist name Ayu Juli . . Hotel is located in the heart of leaign famous for its night life and discos. Food was very good and you dont need to pay add vat and service charge if you take the food in the pool side restaurant. Beach is only 10 min walk from the hotel.

Room Tip: request the hotel staff for ground floor rooms which are quieter

Well what can I say. Have stayed here many times over the last 4 years. It's our home away from home. The staff are awesome always welcoming us with a smile. Breakfast is buffet and great selection. Other meals are basic but lots of great places to eat very close. Make sure you get room on second floor or higher just with mossies. Almost all rooms are now revonavated but if you get one that isn't ask to be changed. Very close to everything but quiet once inside the hotel grounds. Really brings back why we travel to Bali. This hotel is paradise at a budget cost and with basic rooms. We don't go to bali for 5 star hotels.

We have stayed here a couple of times and definitly recommend it. It's very basic (but it's so cheap you cannot complain) but is all you need. Rooms are nice and clean with air conditioning, pool is great, restaurant is great. Location is really good too, not too far a walk around both Poppies Lanes for some shopping, and also has all the clubs just down the street. Plenty of restaurants nearby and staff are more than willing to help with anything you need. Don't go between November/December though unless you plan on being a sardine in the pool with all the schoolies kids! But all of Bali is like that during that time of year. Overall great and very cheap place to stay and even though it's super close to everything it's very quiet and peaceful within hotel grounds.
