My husband and i just returned from our Bali holiday, staying at Legian paridiso hotel for 6 days with friends. The hotel was beautiful - we had a garden room which had a water feature outside keeping any of the hotel noises away and found our room to be really quiet and peaceful. The hotel is close to heaps of markets, shops and the Kuta nightlife. The best clubs were about 10 min walk - across from poppies Lane - Vi Ai Pi and SkyGarden. There was a great place 5 doors up to the right of the hotel where i got my fingers painted with Bali flowers and back, neck and shoulder massage for $6!
Our room was very clean and made up everyday , clean towels, sheets and water every day. Yeah saw there was a bit of mould on the bottom of the shower but no worse than my place sometimes! hahaaha
Breakfast was ok - liked the different types of juice and ordering eggs in omlettes or other styles. Like the days when they had pancakes too. Had bacon etc if you wanted it or you could have the Indonesian breakfast.
Room service was very quick and we organised a trip thru the hotel to go white water rafting trips for $25each - usually $75 if bought in Perth!

Room Tip: Go for the Garden rooms

My partner and i just returned from our Bali holiday, staying at Legian paridiso hotel for 2 weeks. We had a ball and enjoyed the hotel :)
Its the perfect location, 1 minute walk to legian markets, shops and restaurants, 2 minute walk to the beach and about 5 minute walk to the kuta night life, couldnt ask for a better postition really, there was no need for taxis.
Our room was very clean and made up everyday perfectly, clean towels, sheets and water every day.
The staff were ALWAYS friendly and smiling no matter what, and once they learnt your name they always greated you by name, which was really nice seeing as they would have alot of guests to remember!
Breakfast was lovley and it was nice to eat besides the pool, we also very much enjoyed the international bbq held on thursday nights with balinese dancing, that was really good and nice to get some culture!
The pool was great, very deep and refreshing and the pool bar was a highlight, we never experienced loud or drunk behaiver around the pool, and i enjoyed the music they played around the pool as it saved me from bringing my ipod to the pool every day!
Over all we enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Room Tip: If older or family garden view room would be best

The hotel is very outdated, our bathroom flooded everyday, and there was so good coffee anywhere in the hotel. there were drunk people everywhere in the pool, bon jovi blaring repeatedly everyday. and we got overcharged at the bar-someone ordered drinks under our room number. there were more mosquitoes in our room than outside, the staff were friendly enough, but one thing i can reccomend is the japanese restaurant out the front of the hotel, called Fukutaro, delicious!!!! overall i did expect a little more, like a nicer bathroom, coffee in oour room instead of mocha and a nicer breakfast.

Stayed 3 nights here because friends were staying as part of their 'Travel Centre' package and I needed accommodation to finish my 2 week stay.
First impression.....rubbish! beware of the lack of photos on the official website. Paid for a "deluxe room" got a standard, they told me it is deluxe. Service was slack, room was disgusting, very outdated furnishings, had ants all over the floor, sheets/towels were anything but clean, bathroom had mould pretty much everywhere, toilet kept leaking, shower floods the floor everytime, aircon worked well! though sounded as it was dying. TV reception came and went. Food was very average, don't order room service!!. No internet (should be standard these days?)
Friendly staff at pool and pretty helpful.
Very expensive for what you get. Try the Haven! It's 10 times better for the same money.

Ok for Kuta. Location was fine (if you're looking for shopping and night life), right on the main road. Rooms were not as nice as they appear on the website. Pool played really loud music (e.g. Britney Spears, Eminem etc) from around midday everyday. Hassled even when you're in the hotel grounds to buy things/change monet etc. It all felt quite tired.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and this hotel suited our needs just fine. We had a little hiccup when we first arrived. Walked into our Deluxe pool view room after midnight with a weary child and baby to find no single bed for our son and no cot set up for the baby (even though we booked for 3 people and a cot was requested in the booking). Not Nappy!!!! Had to go back to reception and try and sort things out. Stupid late night hotel staff tried to tell us that we had only booked for 3 children and not 4 and it would cost more for a extra child. After a lot of arguing the staff finally realised that the baby was free of charge. Got back to the hotel room which was too small for 4 people and waited for staff to bring in temp beds for the kids and said it would be sorted out properly in the morning. This ground floor Deluxe pool view room was really noisy and you could hear everything going on around outside (the pool closes at 10pm I think but still noisy people around) The next morning we complained about the stuff up the night before and we were given a free up grade to the superior deluxe room around in the gardens area. This room was MUCH nicer than the pool view room. It was bigger and cleaner and slightly more modern. It had a massive bathroom with a dressing area, in room safe, cable TV, plenty of room for both a massive king sized bed, a single bed and a baby cot without being squashy. It also had its own table and chairs which we found handy with the kids. This room was also much quieter. The cons were that there was a small amount of mold growing on the bottom of the shower curtain, the grout around the shower wasn't as white as possible and the towels weren't as fluffy as a 5 star hotel but honestly, look around you, you are staying in a 3rd world country for goodness sakes. One tip, bring your own face washers as the hotel dosnt supply them as the Balinese dont tend to use face washers much. The lobby needs a bit of a revamp and the old couches dont do the hotel any favours. First impressions are not all that great upon arrival but, once inside the hotel, the gardens are AMAZING!!!! Water fountains everywhere, beautiful ponds with big fish to feed, immaculate gardens and lovely plants all around. You really felt a world away from the hustle and bustle of the main street once inside. The breakfast was lovely and the earlier review hat said "stay away from the milk because its left out and warm", the milk is warm because its freshly opened long life milk poured straight from the cupboard. (Balinese people dont often have fresh milk). The staff are super friendly and we made some great friends. They loved our children and played with them every meal time. The pool was fantastic. Overall we really loved this hotel after the initial hiccup and would diffidently stay there again.

Room Tip: Choose a garden view room.
