We recently stayed at The Bene Hotel arriving the 18th April Departing the 21st April 2014 ,Initially the first three days were good hotel was not overly busy service was great but oh boy come Easter Friday it started to change rooms would not be made up, it would take several calls to house keeping or reception to get them to come clean, House keeping just made a bed washed coffee cups and glasses was about all, this got worse with me calling them several times on Easter Saturday to come make up the rooms, The Hotel service degraded to Zero in my humble opinion once they got busy.
On check out OMG they wanted to charge for there house keepings errors missing towels etc , I even paid for my partner and her son to have a late checkout who they charged again when they checked out. I would not recommend this place its only seven months old but boy it looked older than seven months even finishing's is poor on the structure it looked ok from a first glance but boy it sure was not.
The Sunday they had an issue with there laundry service and you ended up with no towels on the morning till they got there precious laundry.
So sometimes its better to stick to the old known than the unknown as The Bene should stay unknown in my opinion. Oh and 90 % of staff have no understanding of English typical Bali they use the language issue as a problem when you explain things the =y then defend saying they don't understand Amazing they must have these words imprinted in there heads but sell oh boy or charge they just run up the bills, agreed If you use it you pay for it but boy You cannot even discuss there charges as they pull the I don't know I don't understand.
So beware travellers may be a good add on the internet to use but personally I would think twice.
