Outstanding experience! My husband and I have never in 20 years been on a holiday without children. From the moment we were greeted at reception we felt welcomed. Nothing was ever a problem. Our butler showed us our stunning 5 star room. Extremely comfortable bed, everything needed in our kitchen. Each morning we were indulged with a beautifully laid out breakfast (complimentary) in our private villa. Right on time with no delays. Anything we needed we were tended to promptly. The bathroom is amazing, the whole villa was clean and comfortable. Room cleaning was handled efficiently. We had the pleasure of complimentary afternoon tea each afternoon with the choice of having it in the villa or outside on the grass on a mat and pillows. Our pool was perfect. There’s not enough I can say about how wonderful this place is. Right in the heart of everything but so very quiet at the same time! Polite friendly staff...brilliant! We will be back!

We stayed in the deluxe pool villa at Alaya Deduan Kuta and it was absolutely stunning - we kept the sliding doors to the living area open so that peaceful music drifted out over the pool as we relaxed/had meals. There is a glass wall in the bathroom separating the shower from the outdoors - and we liked that because it kept the mosquitos out - but there is a sliding door that opens straight into your private pool from the room as well.
The Dala Spa gave us the greatest foot massage of my life after a long day walking around town. Would definitely go back.
One of our favorite parts of the stay would have to be the floating breakfast - I feel like it's one of those things you should experience at least once on a trip to Bali! We had the chia pudding and the granola and absolutely loved the tropical fruits.
Last but not least, the thousand flowers romantic dinner was nothing short of breathtaking. The entire pool was covered with red petals and it was incredible to have dinner in the privacy of our villa - our butler was amazing. The cutest cats joined us and sat by the table - I am a huge animal person so I loved it - however if anyone is concerned about that, it is simple to just close the main door of the villa and they cannot get in. Arrived early evening to The Alaya. Our transfer driver from The Alaya picked us up from Denpasar Airport in a very comfortable transfer vehicle complete with cold towels, chilled bottled water and cookies. The traffic in Bali is horrendous with narrow roads, trillions of cars and zillions of scooters everywhere scuttling for space and coming in all directions at the same time into the main stream traffic. Road rules seem to be non-existent. This combined with the heat is overwhelming!
Finally, we arrived at The Alaya Dedaun Resort and Spa which is down a side road cul de sac. We stepped from the heat and the hustle and bustle of Legian straight into paradise, peace and tranquility, a hidden gem!
The Resort on arrival thru their entrance way is stunning with tropical flowering plants and vegetation, large goldfish pool with sounds of trickling water and manicured lawns surrounding individual secluded villas for all guests.
Our Villa was 'Palem 23' for Bepak (Mr) and Ibu (Mrs).
We had booked an upgraded Deluxe Villa with pool, separate sleeping (good firm bed) and huge bathroom suite and separate kitchen dining area and 2 x large TV's in both areas with cable tv channels.
In addition with our upgraded Villa came our own Butler, daily breakfast, daily afternoon tea (best ever and never the same each day), and a one-time on arrival 'foot and leg massage' from The Dala Spa in the complex.
Each evening we made our breakfast request to Reception and this would be served to our Villa at any nominated time by our Butler the following morning with table laid and visually spectacular.
During the day the pool was the best relief to cool down in the hot/humid heat of the Bali weather.
The Dala Spa at The Alaya is a multi winning award World Luxury Spa from 2007 to 2016. The experience which I had daily was 'heaven'!!
If there is to be 'a' negative it is insignificant in comparison and that is the mossies. this you will get everywhere in Bali. The Alaya staff are vigilant with spray and coil controls in the evening, but needless to say, bring your own mossie kit from home.
Saving the best for last.....are the staff at the Alaya Dedaun. Our Butler Yudhi....was perfect. At the restaurant....Astawa and Adi were perfect. Wayhu at the Dala Spa....so serene and gentle....perfect, as were the staff at Reception.
Actually, the entire staff at The Alaya Dedaun were always extremely polite, serene, smiling, always greeted the guests, and very helpful; a testament to the Balinese nature!!!
The entire experience at The Alaya Dedaun is a perfect 11/10.
We have truly been spoilt here during our stay and would return to The Alaya Dedaun 'in the blink of an eye.'

Our flight arrived late but the Alaya driver was waiting to transfer us, cold towels and chilled water. Arrived at Alaya DeDaun and were warmly welcomed by constantly smiling Reception staff, cold towels and cold ginger tea were grateful for. The villa ,a deluxe upgraded King was amazing and very clean. Huge bed room with a lovely bathroom and enormous shower that had floor to ceiling glass on two sides, but still had privacy. The separate Sitting room was well furnished and include a small kitchen. Double sliding Glass doors from both rooms led out to a beautiful private pool, infinity type. The villa was very private, surrounded by high walls and beautiful tropical flowering trees and vegetation. The area included a small garden and a large pavilion with two loungers. During our 7 day stay we were pampered to the highest level, enjoyed many meals and amazing breakfast was served in the villa each morning. To add to our enjoyment we paid for daily spa sessions at the Dala in the complex, The Dala Spa is listed as a world finalist 2016 and we now understand why......Absolutely amazing Body scrubs and massages, not to be missed. This alone will draw us back to Bali soon! As I previously noted the Alaya DeDaun is the Oasis of Kuta, it is also a little piece of paradise where tranquillity lives and where everyone smiles all the time. I cannot give special praise of any one staff member, simply because they all deserve the highest praise. as here.We have travelled the globe over many years and have never experienced the wonderful service and pampering that the Alaya Dedaun staff willingly offer. If it were possible I would give The Alaya and its staff 11 out of 10 for all aspects.

My husband and I stayed here in June 2018 for 9 nights. We were treated so well upon check in and as it was our honeymoon they made our stay at Alaya Dedaun even better. The staff were exceptional! They were always polite and helpful. The spa was amazing, 5 stars! It is the perfect place to stay if you want to get away from the busy streets of Kuta.
