“Total misrepresentation”
Reviewed March 13, 2012

Well where do I start, overall tolerated our stay, spent most of the holiday away from Wina, just returned to sleep. as mentioned previously in prior reviews due to budget, this reflects cheap accommodation for a large family. Misrepresentation from the pictures, sooo was not what we thought we had purchased. first let down was access to the rooms up horrible narrow stairs, then when we opened the doors oh my life, three single beds, for my husband and I, to clarify, we have 5 children and had 2 rooms side by side, to our disgust we opened the doors and seen 3 single beds, not good, marched down to ask why we didn't have double beds, reply that was all the room SUPERIOR? NOT!!!!, Totally disappointed, apologized to husband and kids, but we were grateful to be on holiday together and made the best of a bad situation. Breakfast average, kids enjoy toast, we just had eggs on toast. location ok to Kuta, but as I said we got up cruised off everyday spent whole day out and about. We will never go there ever again or recommend to anyone!!!!!!

I love this hotel! Rent 'sepida' (motorcycle) and Kuta Town just two minute from you. Staff are smiling at me at all times, food was okay, pool are okay (maybe because I don't prefer swimming at night).

Forgot which room I've take but it was good, great air-cond service. Just the internet connection always disconnect and need to log-in again and again.

After we check-out, they sent us to airport and while on our way, the driver receive a call form the hotel. They ask if we have left any jacket and yes that jacket is belong to my friend. So we stop and wait at the side of the road, waiting the staff from hotel to deliver the jacket.

For me, this is very very good services.

Thank you Wina Holiday Villa Hotel!

:) xoxo

staff at Wina seems all gloomy, wonder if they lost someone close. hardly anyone smiled during our stay.

online booking requested for double bed on ground floor (for my 2 year old to be comfortable). on checking in, staff replied, on available basis. that's fine, and since I will be leaving in 2 days' time for Ubud and returning 2 days later, the reply is still the same.

got our double bed but located on 3rd floor. on return trip, still got our double bed and again on the 3rd floor. walking up the stairs in Wina is an unpleasant experience (no lift service) as the steps are 'higher' than what you usually find in buildings.

the swimming pool is well maintained (was there 2 years ago) and my daughter enjoyed her swim there. breakfast was so-so. stuff on buffet table is lesser than what we had 2 years ago, but quality wise is okay.

requested early checkout (3.30am) to catch my flight and the staff on duty then offered to pack the breakfast (bread & butter/jam and a packet of guava juice). that's pleasant. and punctually at 3am, I got a call to remind me that 'breakfast is served'

stayed at room 314 on first 2 nights. the sink was 'flooding', wear and tear quite obvious to some furniture & fittings. stayed at room 304 (staff says it's an upgrade since it's a returning stay), the room is bigger but the aircond was unplesant. despite raining for days, the room is not comfortable at night, wonder how occupants would feel on those hot days.

the hotel is fairly priced, offers relatively clean environment and you get a peaceful rest after a hectic day in Bali. don't expect more than that.

Room Tip: rooms on the same block with the reception counter is larger and better

I believe the charges per night for this hotel is too expensive when you take into consideration the fact that the hotel is very old, toilet has old stains in the bathtub, swimming pool closes at 8 pm everyday and even though there is the availability of halal food, the choices are very very limited. The wifi connection is very weak as well. The plus side of this hotel is that it is near to Kota beach and other amenities.

As for the swimming pool, yes it's closed from 8pm to 8 am daily. if you read our hotel compendium you may find more useful info so that you are aware on the hotel policy and standard. This also allows us to prepare the pool for cleaning up and to consider of children's bedtime and other guest privacy to enjoy some quit time before retiring.

Swimming pool is quite nice but is closes at 8 pm every day! Even when u jump in for 2 seconds only security guy running to u with police button!!! This is a joke....
Hotel staff is very unhelpfull always trying beguild guests. Breakfast is very poor, internet is very poor as well ( have to login every time when u want use and disconecting after few minutes). Beer and food in the hotel restaurant is 4 times more expensive than shop and all prices in hotel menu is without tax and service charge.! For example large beer in menu cost 55000IDR but on final bill is 79000IDR!!! which is £5.50!
Friend of my went to bar ask for glass with ice and barman said NO!!! This hotel is rubish!!! Never come back again. Still u have to pay 100$ for each night.

Room Tip: hotel is definetly not for disbales people thats stairs is horible...

We will look into the internet service and will do our best to improve it.

To consume outside drinks and meals are prohibited in the public area. But we did not stop you if you wish to consume it in your room or your balcony. I believe most hotel practice this unless they don't have any rules.

Stayed for 3 nights. 1st night room have problem with the toilet. The next day the hotel was kind enough to change my room. The room interior condition is nothing special, just average and old. The hotel location is just a walk a way to kuta beach. there's also a 24 hour convenient store just near the back door (very handy). I think the aircond in every room is about the same standard, average cooling bcos of the brand of the installed aircond. love the breakfast very much bcos told that this is the only hotel here that serves HALAL food. The hotel is actually affordable and value for money bcos cheap compared to other hotels around with the same standard. this is bcos it isnt refurbished yet. If refurbished, i'm sure the price will also increase...

Room Tip: the stairs are uneven and unfriendly. ground floor is nice (especially if u have kids). there's...
